The corner of Winslow Arizona looked quite an emotional experience. I remember the song, but until now, I never realised it was a real place. Thanks and cheers
Hey, Dave. I did The Cowboy Trip with Nathan Millward in 4/24 with my bro. It was his comeback tour after prostate cancer in ‘20 so was a big trip for him, and Winslow was a big highlight for both of us and, strangely, very emotional indeed. Having had prostate cancer myself this year, and surgery in 11/24, the memory is even better now 😊. I loved the riding out there. Big roads, big skies, great weather 👍. Take it easy, mate 😎.
Thanks Chris. I hope you’re feeling better. Isn’t it strange how our emotions are stirred by things like this. Nice really. Have a lovely Xmas and thanks so much for the support this year. 🙏
I once had genuine reason to use that hallowed phrase, when my daughters were very young they had a wheelie horse they used to ride and refused to budge at bed time, I clearly remember saying to one of them in a tired way once "get off your horse and drink your milk" - as you can imagine me and Carole cracked up at the time......doubt I'll ever need to use it again. Great vid again mate!
🤣Brilliant! Have a great Xmas and im revealing the new bike along with your favourite song in tomorrow nights Xmas special vid @6pm. I’m not sure which you will dislike the most!😉🤣🤣🙏
That's the AmericaI was I hoping to see.. Great to see what it meant to you did on that corner. I'm really pleased you got to tick that huge box. Whoever would have thought a few years ago you would be stood there with all that to take in 🤘👍🙂
Hi Dave, loved the local police stopping the traffic so the group could sing 'the song'! Surreal moment for you and the emotion came through. Great episode. Cheers Arthur.
WOW!!!! Another brilliant collection of scenes, views and insights! Some of the footage brought back great memories of riding my Bandit 1200 through the canyons and mountains when I lived in |Gran Canaria! Thanks.
Wow. Simply, WOW. What a great video. The two things that strike me is your expertise with cameras and editing and all that technical stuff to produce a great video. The second is the emotion of Winslow. That was an incredible moment, you must have been on an emotional roller coaster. Well done on yet another masterpiece, I am loving these Saturday morning shows 👍.
@@Steo-The-Red thanks man. Yes I was an emotional wreck after that as it just meant so much to me. I’m pleased it was portrayed in the video. Thank you 🙏
Fantastic episode, the emotion of the day most certainly came across. If I ever get around to doing route 66 Winslow is/would be an absolute must do, this video has just re-inforced that even more. Thank you.
I did a S W tour years ago and stopped at many of the same famous places. What a big country with so much to see. Was on a month vacation so I saw much more. One memorable thing was a group of prisoners doing road work and guarded by 2 deputies on horseback 🐎 complete with cowboy 🤠 hats, dark sunglasses 😎 and shotguns. Looked like a scene from an old western movie. Grand trip you had. Thanks for the ride-a-long. 👍👍
Well Dave, each week just gets better and better! This is one trip I don’t want to end. Love it and so looking forward to the 15k subs. See you next week. 👏
That was a nice vid Dave, and some amazing scenery. It could also be in your "sculpture" series of vids. Mad that the sculptor was there that day. Cheers again for the great content.
Morning Dave, Enjoying your ride, Scenery is starting to get more interesting, R66 is more about the stories and the people. Nice to meet the sculptor. I hope you chose to go to the Grand Canyon, only takes a minute, you pull up "Abair Sealladh" 😀
Excellent video Dave...obviously the Take it Easy moments were a joy...superb! Ps on a lighter note, the way you signalled to the train driver to toot you were upsetting the train spotter purist ..they call that 'tone wanking' ...😂😂😂! Great stuff, Cheers Steve 💚
Well Dave as a subscriber that has watched all of your content from the start I have to say that this series of route 66 has been simply amazing and I truely felt your emotions come through in this episode of your trip…. Wow and thank you for taking us all along on the fabulous journey. 14 years ago I rode from Perth, where I live, to Darwin in the great land down under, this journey was epic in itself so I can relate to the long distance challenges you yourself has experienced, maybe one day you can venture to Perth and we can do a tour 😉. Lovely stuff Dave and looking forward to the next instalment, regards Paul
Wow what a message Paul. I was worried that it might only have resonated with me but clearly not. Thanks again for all your feedback this year and Merry Xmas. Dave.
Bringing back more great memories for us ..BTW did you know that he originally wrote Flagstaff Arizona but it didn't flow so he changed the lyric to Winslow..and yes I stood there and sang it
Just awesome. Who wouldn’t like to stand on a corner in Winslow then head west on a Harley.
Class. Love it ! Fair play Dave -

Brilliant video. Loves the interview as well. I couldn’t believe it either when I stood there. I had the Eagles playing in my helmet across all AZ.
