Great story I always thought that everyone in the North of England were far more easier for us irish to get on with.We always had more in common. Jack Charlton lifted our spirits here so much he could have ran for president no bother. Safe biking.
Dave… my man… what a great story. I’m mesmerised. Your love story is fab. The best thing I did today after being at work for 14 hours (I know sounds crazy) is watching your video. Mind you… it’s 1.35am now…. Another smashing video. The best one I can say.. Regards to the lady….
Not sure how anyone could think that Geordie accent was Irish! I have lived in South Down on the beautiful Lecale Coast on the shores of the Narrows, the entrance to Strangford Lough, for 20 years. Moved to marry my Irish (ex) wife. No longer married but still here, two kids, two dogs & recently a 2024 Street Triple R. Ireland is beautiful, but then so is my native Derbyshire, but the pace of life is slower, the geography, culture, history… I still love England but whenever I go home it’s just too busy for me now. I’ll be staying. Love the story about your wife … no judgement. Good on ya fella.
Morning Dave , awe sure an aul pet , such a wonderful heart warming story, your a very special human being Dave and never forget that , your honesty and passion for life is truly inspiring , Tony 👍🫡👏🙆♀️
Love to hear people with such passion for what they do and who they love. Wishing you all the best on R66..did it with a friend in Oct 22.. Hope you're still keeping the music alive..I have a dream of a biker gang of musicians travelling the country and playing in the best pubs. 😂
Great story Dave. I agree with you… I also believe that life is already mapped out us and that we are following a path. As my father used to say … if your meant to drown then you won’t hang 😂😂
Great insight Dave and I guess we all know when we find our true soul mate. Living in south west France people can't believe that I want to go back to Ireland.🤔 You sum it up perfectly. Its as much the people as the scenery, if not more. Cheers Arthur
Loved the story, thanks for sharing. My partner and kids love Ireland as well and as we talked previously we're planning to finally move there in a few years. Your story is honey to our ears, thanks again!
Great story Dave, thanks for sharing it. Your wife has great taste in Land Rovers too! I know how you feel about Ireland, I'm 75% Irish, born and raised in the UK but whenever I go back, i feel at home immediately and pick up with my family where we left off on the last visit. My Grandad on my Mom's side and his family were all farmers in Kells, not far from you, and he moved to Dublin when he married.
Really nice story, thanks for sharing from a fellow biking Brit living in Kerry past 25 years, we came on tour, saw a house, put a deposit down…hadn’t even put ours up for sale in UK and have been here ever since…so I get the making big decisions on a whim😂🙈
I share your sentiment completely about Ireland Dave, sure I`ve said that before. Two visits this year (video just posted) and another two already booked for next year, I can`t get enough of the place. Fabulous insight into your Ireland story, thanks for sharing 😀😀😀
Great story Dave. I was bought up with Irish priests in a town in New South Wales, Australia and reflecting back on those times we thought we were more Irish than Aussies, as the Irish accent was very much part of our life. I feel now after 74 years more Irish than Aussie!
Great story Dave, Jack was a national treasure, I used to live in West Cork when I was younger and he'd come down to fish in Lough Bofinne (?) once a year. When that happened we were pulled out of school to go stand beside the lake and watch the legend himself. Thinking back on it now, poor Jack probably just wanted some quiet fishing time and literally HUNDREDS of people would turn up to watch a man fishing. Not sure he ever caught much fish to be honest. 😄 P.S. never would have guessed Newcastle from your accent!
That’s so weird mate, it was in Bofinne where we went with him. We even played a practical joke with our reporter about a sighting of the Bofinne Beast which Jack went along with for the craic. What a small world. 👌💪
@@WheelieGoodTV A few of my mates have been over the last few years (saddlebags73 TH-cam) Top bloke he is as are the lads in Royal Enfield owners Ireland....maybe one day......I'd love to come and see you but if business is like it was this year then I'll be lucky to even get to Torquay let alone over the water. Just an afterthought on your video, would an islands of Ireland ever be on your agenda as a series for us, as an irishman I don't know enough about them , anyway hope you enjoying the States
Well that was different! Brilliant! Like the Irish man in his cell on death row watching a fellow inmate walk past on his way to the electric chair - "more power to ye!!" Have a great weekend. BTW you still have a Geordie accent ;)

I can’t imagine the euphoria with Jack in charge of Ireland back in the 90’s. It must have been incredible. 🇮🇪💪
I have found that generally in the UK, the further north you go, the friendlier the people get!
