I was actually quite happy with Nightdive when they released Turok 2. It was precisely what I wanted: The classic game, but with good controls for once. The N64 version suffered from frame rate drops, the most frequent of any game on the system, and you can't completely take off look spring. "If it's not from my time as a kid, it's not a classic" is pretty much what you just said.
one of my fondest memories as a kid was playing Jedi Knight *dry heave* Jedi Academy on my Dad's computer. :D
Retro is weird. Halo Combat Evolved is 17 years old and some say it isn't retro, yet a game like Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis was, as far as I remember, considered retro back in 2008 when it was 17 years old.
I like how the channel consist of only your videos
Plinth is a great word we should use it more often
I've already played through bulletstorm enough. Not to say it's bad, it's so good that I played the shit out of it so I have no desire to play it again.
I live a meaningless, empty life day in and day out, curled up in the fetal position in a corner. But then, once a week, a light comes to me, it speaks to me in a sarcastic, disinterested tone and I feel. My life is given meaning for five glorious minutes. Then, the light fades away, and I resume my life as a meaningless sack of flesh.
Also Wonder Boy 3 got a major remake and it's amazing
Laughed when the kid said "Where's the DLC?" ....simpler times indeed.
O my god I had the dig!
Could never get past that damn 'rebuild the turtle' bit.
HELL YEAH PLANESCAPE TORMENT. Yahtzee you've done it again.
i am surprised that this is not a "let's all laugh at an industry that's never learnt anything teeheehee".
Thank you. so, so very much yahtzee, for finally voicing what is wrong about Planescape, and the reason why I never got past the first half hour.
Oh no, mah planescape: torment! :o
OMG Torment reference. Best game ever? Probably.
Ooh I didn't know Planescape was being remastered. I'm might just pick it up.
I was actually quite happy with Nightdive when they released Turok 2. It was precisely what I wanted: The classic game, but with good controls for once. The N64 version suffered from frame rate drops, the most frequent of any game on the system, and you can't completely take off look spring. I remember in recent years thinking "What about this, but without the fucking look spring?" So, thank you Nightdive. You're good people.
Cant wait until they remaster the collection of final fantasy 7 remakes of the final fantasy remastered version of final fantasy 7. THAT will be the one to play
4:42 "But the rhythm in this rhythm game is being monitored by a narcoleptic mountain goat!"
-Yhatzee
And then there's Bioshock remastered, a wonderful experience chock full o-- *comment.exe has stopped working*
Colin Reilly only buying that so I can get the original on PC
GammaWALLE yep that's exactly what I did
But the graphics update on the first one really make a difference.
The second one was till good in my opinion. (Didn't need a remaster)
Colin Reilly the remaster for the second game is even worse
Cody Bury you got lucky they didn't even fix the sound bug for the 2 game and even worse it crashes every few minutes even when I save
i think remasters make sense if they come with all the DLC and are cheaper than 60 i'd say at the most 40.
i don't care for a games like bulletstorm that had slight graphics fixes and cost the same as the first release at all it's just a cash grab from the few idiots that actually liked bulletstorm enough to buy it twice.
It' been three months since this video was uploaded, time for a remaster.
At least we all have Skyrim Remastered
