Man....I 'm about to cry how proud I am of myself to succeed following your tutorial..I know nothing about nodes, and blender I know just a little bit.. but you are so accurate in the steps you give..that I couldn't fail. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Bless you!
Thanks for adding the 3D stuff, as in earlier tutorials, I wasn't sure how you were getting the sphere to look the way it was. Otherwise, loving your tutorials, and keep at it!
Another great tutorial, they are amazing! Btw. when removing the, say, Mapping node with delete the connection is lost. Using Cut removes the node + keeps the connection.
Thanks for watching! Yes I know that you can press Control X to remove the node but keep the wire plugged up. But there's no point in doing that in this case because I'm going to have to change the connection to the Object coordinates anyways. So either way I'm going to have to plug another wire up to the texture.
Hello Ryan, great tutorial! Could you tell me what's your current setup? or PC recommendation specs. My setup needs to be upgraded, specially for 3D, and I trust your advice for that
Useful fact: When you want to delete the 'Mapping' node at the beginning, then you can select it and instead of pressing 'X', you can press 'Ctrl + X' and it will delete it with the wires still plugged in, so you don't have to plug the wires in again! :D
Yes, that's a great feature! 👍 Although there is no real point for me to do that, because after deleting the mapping node, I have to unplug the Generated, and plug in the object coordinates instead. But yes, its a great shortcut to know. 😀
I have a question, I'm currently using UE5 and I would like to know if the type of material influences performance (for example, metallic textures are smooth but at the same time are more reflective than other materials) Does this influence performance? If so.. is there any way to optimize metallic materials? Should I make it less reflective for real-time renderings? like games for example. 🤔
I need help after i wired the node from the darken to the bump and set the strength to 0.1 and change from the normal to the height and connected it to the normal on the principled DSDF it just turn into a purple color
Hi ryan I want to ask you what do you think about learning blender or modeling in this time is that make sense? Since AI generators start to make everything easily. only typing a few words. I would like to know what do you think maybe you can make a video about it it'll be perfect.
There will always be artists creating artwork, and there will always be humans that need to make specific things. AI image generators will not take artists jobs. I think learning 3d art is a great and valuable skill. : )
the musgrave has been replaced with the noise texture. So you can get the same effect by changing the noise settings. I have a video about it here: th-cam.com/video/2Z75X_Jg8JQ/w-d-xo.html
It might be because of the updated Mix Node in Blender. So just add the Mix Node, and Set it to Color, and manually plug it up the same way as in the video.
Hey there. So i just started this Tutorial and i added the Musgrave Texture and the Noise Texture, nothing else and my filesize is around 490MB.....is that normal?
@@RyanKingArt thanks for response Ryan. I seems like youre right, just tried it with an icosphere with 6 subdivisions as well as a subsurf modifier and the filesize dropped immediately 🤗

You are the goat man. I will come here back to get you a Thanks when I got my finances right.
thank you! I'd appreciate it!
I made my first scene on my new rig with your pumpkin in it! Just a nice little fall scene. Thanks for all the cool materials!

You're very welcome!

thanks! yeah at the beginning of the video I go over what lighting I used and how I setup the objects.
Incredibly helpful, even a year after being published. Many thanks man
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much I just needed that material!
thanks for watching!
RIP musgrave
Yep
@@RyanKingArt how do i follow this tutorial without it :(
Easy but good result, well done 👍

Looks so perfect !!!
glad you like it!
Keep going, your tutorials are my favourite🔥. If it is possible, I would like to see a tutorial of animal fur.
thanks for the idea!
Musgrave Texture is outdated since version 4.1. Its the noise texture from now! Thank you ryan for your best tutorials!
It is combined now. What will be your workaround for a metal texture fpr this tutorial now? Use two noise textures? regards
i have a tutorial showing how to get the same effect with the noise texture
amazing 🤩🤩
Thank you!
Take a shot every time he says 'procedural material' during the intro
LOL
Procedural! I like it all procedural
thanks 👍
Just perfect

dont know if you will see this, but the musgrave texture is no longer in blender
yeah I know that. I made a video on that update. you can use the noise texture instead to get the same effect
why are your lines staight

Bro at 6:15, When I hit backspace blender crashed so hard. Im just mixing colors, how did this happen?
does this Works for eevee ?
how do you upload the texture into other files?
👍👍👍
thanks!!
not sure if it's a problem with my model, lighting or texture but this metal is showing as white in dark shadows
hmm, did you setup the bump map correctly? It could be a problem with the bump, or normal.
@@RyanKingArt thanks for the response! i think it's a problem with my model (curved pipe) because it works fine on everything else in my scene.
i searched in 4.2 and i cant find musgrave texture

i done this, thanks but i have no clue what alien came down to explain how to do this to you, did they provide the secrets to the pyramids too??
Lol! I learned Blender just by watching lots of tutorials and practicing a lot. : )
@@RyanKingArt i don't believe this - some form of matrix brain plugin from the source.
Is the greyish tint the result of hdri lighting or its a metallic ring set to 1?
I think its the lighting.
@@RyanKingArt sorry I meant the greenish not grayish my bad
after I hold shift key then click on musgrave texture, why can't I press ctrl+0 and get the same result? can someone help? @4:50

Hey there. So i just started this Tutorial and i added the Musgrave Texture and the Noise Texture, nothing else and my filesize is around 490MB.....is that normal?
Hmm, not sure. That does seem a little high. It might be because of the high detailed Ico-Sphere.

But are those materials procedural?
This material is Procedural yes, and my Procedural material packs are all made procedurally.
How do you setup camera like that?
setup the camera how?
@@RyanKingArt framing the sphere head on
@@orphydiancg7759 you can move to where you want the camera to be, and then press: Control + Alt + Numpad 0, to bring the camera to your view.
please tell me im not the only one who's detail has always been a max of 16
they changed that in a new blender update. Now the max detail is just 15.
