TY been a long time coming.....just youtubed ...andrea gail....6th video down...used to watch this movie over and over....not much was known back then....so well done by the movie crew...the cast...etc...Nice Tribute ♥
Brave men who went out there for a paycheck and never returned rip this is touching when I watched the movie years ago it left me in tears to know what people go through in this life, they are true heroes ❤❤❤❤❤❤🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
It's not a sister ship to the Andrea Gail, although the hull design looks similar. The Andrea Gail had a tripod mast, not a gantry-style mast. The AG didn't really have a true sister ship, that type of hull design was just very common back in those days at Eastern Marine
@@pc_buildyb0i935 I'm not going to argue with you I've been inside of the Connor and Michael and I've seen the inside of the Andrea Gail and it's the exact same. Do you want to explain that??.
@@gsd5505 Can you provide proof? Or just the claim? A sister ship is a ship that features the same design as another. Explain how they're sisters if the exterior is different?
This still actually hurts me and I had nothing to do with it. I was a baby in north Carolina. Its stuck with me for years. I have nightmares about the wave in the movie at 34 years old. I live in dare county and we are a fishing community. I've lost cousins in storms. I dont have any connections to the families that suffered after the event but I feel the pain. I love you all and I hope we can one day have a system of delivery and service that doesn't jeopardize the lives of our fishermen or create the chance of loss for a paycheck. No family should have to lose their breadwinner to a hurricane simply because they don't have a choice. I pray the technology has been updated to the point that we never experience this shit again
You think technology will overcome life and death? Haha. Never gonna happen. As long as we're in the real world death is garunteed and it can come anytime especially if you live or work in dangerous conditions accidents happen. Reality ✔️

Sad and creepy story. The men just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. What exactly, in detail, happened to the ship, one can only guess. It could be sudden and fast, or it could be long, with all the possible damage control that an experienced crew could provide, fighting the elements at the limit of their strength. Peace be upon all those who perished at sea at all times. Привет из России🇷🇺! Храни бог всех, кто в море!
La pelicula muy buena pero solo te muestra lo que ellos pasaron pero sin saber en realidad si fue asi o no en la realidad ya que nadie sobrevivio para contarlo.
We turn around and let all that spoil....or make it into safe harbour?.....lets go for it ....paraphrasing....made the turn....damn....we gonna make it out
That said moment that they managed to turn around but if they kept going they wouldn't have come across that monster wave. So sad could only imagine what the crew was thinking during that storm
@@matthewrobinson2831 Yup incredible, keep going forward which of course in the captain's mind it was too dangerous, safer option make the turn and hopefully get out of the storm, but then a one in a million wave...sad RIP crew.

They were commercial fishing, and they were in it for the dollar. Over 10,000 human lives sacrificed.. for whatever you tell yourselves you're doing. but it's all just plain old death and dying.. plain old gone forever. and none of the game is worth it. that child needed his father.. didn't he.

Terrifying what the Andrea Gail experienced. Rest easy men.
we will never know what they experienced as no one was there to see it and report on it.

they arent heroes, theyre fishermen. youre abusing the term hero
The sister ship to the Andrea Gail is called the Connor and Michael. It's docked in point Judith Rhode island.

It's sad. Farewell, Andrea Gail. You will be missed. And so long Jonesy.
In real life, the pararescue jumper's name was Rick Smith. It was changed to Millard Jones for the film.
