From what I learned online, Gilgamesh used to be a joke character with the dream of being a great swordsman or liked collecting swords (Haven't played any other FF except VII and XV, I'm working on it) Apparently some groups online didn't take towards this Gilgamesh, and I can't see how. Maybe it's my newbie "lens" of the fandom but this seemed cool as fuck man. Great way to pay homage
Seeing Gilgamesh weild the Genji blade with both hands was just beautiful.. like the master swordsman he is. Gladio's on the other hand, looks sloppy...😐
Sure, because none of the other characters in the franchise survive to attacks that will kill them instantly, such as the supernova attack on Cloud and company... Come on, this is only criticizing for criticizing.
Up until the release of this DLC, Gilgamesh was seen as a cliche comic relief character.(Not counting SPIN-OFFS/TYPE 0) FFXV's version of Gilgamesh is a more serious take on the character and one which is very well executed. He still keeps his signature trait (being a collector of weapons) whilst casting his backstory (how he was the first kings shield and literally kills those whose aren't deemed worthy) in a much more darker tone. Ultimately, I really like the way they Incorporated his character into the games lore, rather than being out-of-place, and something I hope that they continue to do in the future.
@@trashcan5000 Gilgamesh appears in every FF game as an Antagonist Comic Relief. Before this game he was just a funny guy who would appear to fight you, or along side you.
just look at those graphics! you can really tell FF came a long way from N64 level graphics to super computer level graphics!
if you listen closely you can hear the graphic card at its death throes lol
Wolvenworks cards for some people.
That's impossible though FF was nevdr on the 64 except for that Tech demo
Icecl Keyheart same technology.
Yeah...
From FF 1 back then to FF XV today...
Final Fantasy has come far..
So smooth! The extra textures! Looks so dam responsive too.
Gilgamesh of the Abyss. He even fights only with one hand like Artorias.

This is actually pretty cool!
Gilgamesh as a Dark Souls boss
adds a bit o spice
For me Gilgamesh is basically Vergil but weaker and slower
And gladiolus is Royal Guard
This is no gilgamesh prime
Impressive
I kneel before no man!
Noctis: bitch get over here!
Gladio: yes daddy!
Sir Alonne is that you?
I think you need 1080ti for this?
Sli
At least an rtx card for true 4k output
Wait how does the Rage meter work?
It's basically a damage multiplier. For every successful hit, your damage increases.
At first i was thinking that it increases when ever Gladio takes damage
Meh, I like all the other versions of him better.
Shavon llegue temprano
Gilgamesh dont look like the orginal
The guy has a mullet 😐😬🤣🤣😞 smdh I can guys who playing this
#notmyGilgamesh
The Hitcher YEAH! Where’s his noble phantasm, EA?!
3:16 Gladio should be headless at least. FFXV what a joke

How to butcher a emblematic character like Gilgamesh? Redesign him to be the most boring person in every world's version
....

Regarding my response, I forgot to ask the question, why do you find him boring? Is he too much dark souls like for you?
Mohammed Masood Wait, was he an actual antagonist in ff5? I’m confused.
