- Hey guys, today we install a Magnaflow direct-fit replacement muffler on a 2019 Ram 1500 classic Warlock with the 5.7 Hemi. We also give some before and after sound clips of the in-cab and exterior sound. Product links for the different exhaust options are below!

Yeah I don’t find it to be too loud at all. Definitely quieter than the Borla system on my truck lol.

Good sound. Did you level your truck? What tire and size do you have?
This one is actually my buddies truck, it’s a 2019 Warlock, so it has a 1” lift from the factory but it’s not leveled or anything. He’s now running the 275/60R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs that came off my truck.
Did you have any issues with the MagnaFlow Muffler rusting out and is the MagnaFlow Muffler the same costs as a regular MagnaFlow definitely thinking about getting the MagnaFlow direct fit but I've had issues with the smaller MagnaFlow Mufflers rusting Out before.had to keep replacing them Everyyear
They are stainless mufflers so I’d be very surprised if they rust out every year. This one is doing just fine and I also had one on my 04 Jeep without any issues.

@@richardnsheila8016 That's still very strange. Here in Minnesota, we also have snow and road salt for about 4 months out of the year. My stainless exhaust is "dulled" and not as shiny as it was new, but it's certainly not rusty. Also pay attention to what KIND of stainless the muffler is made out of. Many stainless companies use 409 stainless, which is actually not as good as 304 stainless. 304 is more resistant to rust and corrosion. I hope this helps.

Would a 1/4" impact driver work? 18v. I bought the same muffler for my 21 Ram Classic.
1/4” probably too weak, but a hand ratchet or wrench would work.
Did you have any issue with lining up the exhaust tips? I have a read a couple reviews where people have had to cut 1/2” off the driver side to make them even again.
You mean to make them even with the bumper? I don’t think we had an issue there but these things are built on a jig, so there’s always some chance of not getting a perfect fit. The only issue we really had was trying to get the tips centered in the bumper cutouts but we got it with some oomph lol
@@TonyTheTruckGuy yes! I think some had issues with it. I’ve been between this muffler and the carven progressive. Worried the magnaflow won’t be loud enough, and worried the carven might be too loud
@@davidhefty7925 Yeah the Carven systems I’ve heard are pretty loud. Magnaflow does make an option that’s louder than this one though if you want to look into that one.
driver side was longer on my setup. you could grind the small tab on the top of the pipe off...and just shove er in the muffler a bit further. im just gonna live with the diff.....its only 1/2" or so

I have a 2020 PW. What type of performance change should I expect if I changed to this muffler?

@@therealrene1 I figured that much. Just for the sound.
It’s mainly for sound. It probably flows a little better than the stock muffler, but with all the other exhaust components being stock, we’re probably talking 5 hp or less.

Myron T. Miller I thought so. Personally if it was my truck I may have tried the muffler delete just for a tad more noise plus it’s about $100 cheaper but he is happy with it so that’s all that matters.
Where is the ground wire? The double out side of the muffler or the inlet ?
It's towards the rear of the muffler. The dual outlet. There should be 2 hangers side by side there for the muffler, and the ground clips onto the hanger that's closest to the passenger side of the truck.

Nope, just the muffler swap. Rest of the exhaust still bone stock.

I haven’t heard any drone except for maybe when it goes into 4 cylinder, but even stock exhaust I could hear that.

Depends how picky everyone is, but honestly, it’s probably your best option. Any quieter and it wouldn’t even be worth doing anything, any louder and you may get complaints. It’s a nice healthy tone without being too intrusive.

What size tires do you have and how big is the leveling kit that’s needed?
Stock size 275/60R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac and the truck is all stock suspension, but it’s the Warlock which I believe sits 1” taller than a normal 1500 but it would still fit fine even if it wasn’t a Warlock.
I have the warlock as well and wanted a more aggressive looking tire for it. Was thinking 33s on the stock wheels they come with but wasn’t sure if I’d need a leveling kit.

Not sure, Magnaflow doesn’t seem to list the dimensions on their website.

Not my truck but they’re stock 20 inch wheels I THINK these ones are 8” wide not 9”. Stock size 275/60R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.
Does it drone bad in the highway?
Only drone at all seems to be when it goes into 4 cylinder but I can hear it go into 4 even with stock muffler. If you have the radio going or windows down you probably wouldn’t even notice.

Nah it’s pretty subtle. Maybe in 4 cylinder mode but I can even hear that with the stock exhaust
How bad is the drone on the highway?
I’d say as minimal as you can get with an aftermarket exhaust
Plus the stock muffler is so restrictive seen a couple people cut them opened and it looks like a rat maze
wayyy easier to do tailpipes first...then muffler. grab tailpipes at the tips and just wiggle around, come out easy. No need to remove hangers before muffler. do reverse when installing system....muffler 1st. stock decibels on idle 72....magnaflow decibels on idle 76
Our tailpipes were a pain for some reason and took 1 guy wiggling/pulling pipes with me hitting the muffler using a dead blow hammer lol
How much was this exhaust?

Drone?
I wouldn’t say there’s any except when it goes into 4 cylinder but any exhaust is going to do that

Only “drone” I would really say it has is that it makes 4 cylinder mode more prominent, but you’re going to have that with any aftermarket exhaust and there are a few ways to disable that if necessary.

How long have you had it on and does it get louder over the years some people say it gets louder
2:11, ive welded for 16 years and as flat as that weld is after it broke thats just poor welding. made in the US or not the weld has no penetration and thats why it stayed so flat after it broke. just a fyi lol
