It's my 6th month, away from my home back in odisha. And I currently shifted to Mumbai...seeing this made me run back to my maa and have a bowl of her pakhala.. I miss odia food so much🥲♥️
Arjun, yr expressions, WOW. Odia food yummy. Special tks to Chef Himani for preparing wonderful cuisine. Enjoyed watching yr prgm. Special tks to entire team. Keep it up
Actually this is simple homely food for middle class or poor people. But the rich class people in Odisha also have authentic dishes that is extremely elaborate and you would not find them anywhere except maybe in Puri temples or at the home of the aristocratic people themselves. They are made very cautiously made with delicate mix of spices and patience. Try searching for Rasapuli, Atakali, Saptapuri, KhiraPoda Pitha, Ghia Khechudi, Cheena ambula Sakara etc. These are heavenly tasty and form part of High cuisine of Odisha.
Except Puri temple only .. Btw Odisha's poor, middle class and rich people.. eat that simple homely food often. We're United by ଓଡ଼ିଆ . We're not Divided by Food. ତମେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ହେଇକି ,ଏମିତି କମେଣ୍ଟ କରନା ଏଠି। ଇମେଜ୍ ବିକ୍ରୁତ କରନା।
@@AllhaSuarwala That kind of mentality is why the world thinks Odisha is poor. Poverty and Simplicity is romanticised as some great thing here. Reality is people are just lazy and have forgotten what rich heritage is. Only Pakhala and Sukhua unites Odia people? I dont relate to poverty lifestyle. And I refuse to see that as the only side of Odia society.
Not only in Puri all odias eat those but those are cooked on special occasions like sradha, Puja Dina etc when we want to celebrate with God. Yes you can say it's related to God but not geographically concentrated. In our home on Sradha, other sankrantis and various Pujas we make mahura, ambila, atakali is made on special puja day i.e Baula Amabasya, chitou is the must have recipe of chitau Amabasya, Samba Dasami comes with several curries with Simba in ghanta tarkari, dhanu sankranti gives us dhanu muan etc etc etc..
Arjun, you have evolved so much during this season. Your hosting skills have tremendously improved. Kudos to you. Thank you for fabulously presenting the Odia cuisine.
Ghanta kc das ke ancestors payda nahi huye the hajaron salon se rasogolla bhog lagte aya hai jagganath ke paas. Proof also there. Our tradition, culture, language os very old and precious if you dont knoe
I am marathi born in odisha there are two types of rasgulla one is pahala rasgulla second is bengali rasgulla. Why are you Bengali people behind ODISHA?? Both the states are East India and the language is also the same.Rasgulla is the food of East India like Idli Dosa Sambar is South Indian food whether it is Telugu Kannada or Tamil.
I am Marathi, I was born in Odisha and brought up in Odisha i.e. in Kalinga culture.
