Dear Kenneth thank you for this new video which offers me the opportunity to ask you a question: does the structure of the sentence change if I have to translate something like: "I do not know whether it will rain or not". I remember to have read somewhere that it should sound:
မိုရွားမလား မမိုရွားဘူးလား မသိဘူး
I would say that in these cases (which I do not know how to distinguish from your examples) I should use the interrogative particle လား rather then the repetition of the verb. Is that correct? If it is so, which is the difference in the examples?

Thanks for reaching out! Your instinct is correct. The structure in my video is basically a conditional statement: Whethere X happens or Y happens, I will still do this. (Or) Whether X happens or not, Y will still occur. But in your case, it's really a nested question. So it's more natural to say, မိုးရွာမလား မရွာဘူးလား မသိဘူး။ (In the phrase မိုးရွာ , မိုး "rain" is a noun, and ရွာ "to pour down" is the verb. So the negative tranformation only applies to ရွာ .) Hope this makes sense.
