It's just so hard to match John's feel. He just makes everything flow. Other guitarist had some good licks, but you could tell he wasn't totally locked in comparatively.
@@jmd489 it’s not just feel, which obviously he’s the king, but something about his tone just fills so full. It’s incredible and unmatched.

@@monochromedout Fender was really difficult regarding this, and that a big reason he moved away from them. I belive he can play whatever he wants now. He even plays Fenders on occation :p
First solo was solid but man Mayer’s phrasing is just on another level. Always a joy to hear John solo
John’s been using that whammy bar a lot more lately and I love it, so much emotion in that solo, his phrasing is just out of this world

It’s up there. Even tho he typically uses a couple tube screamers in his signal chain, it sounds like he’s using distortion with a bit of chorus it sounds heavenly

This is the kind of solos I want John to keep putting out. That was a simple but crazy good solo. Very melodic and follows the changes really well. Also you got a great voice and this was a really cool cover.

I was at this show and this was the highlight of the entire night! An artist coming out before their show to play with the opener and matching the vibes of the opener. It was awesome!!

I've listened to Tears for Fears do this song in the rain, in the snow, in the wind and in the sunshine and it never fails to stop my in my tracks with it's brilliance.

Just goes to show you tone is all in the hands and fingers. John Mayer makes that 80s metal shred guitar sound like a Strat! Wonderful vocals by Alex 23 - what a soulful voice he's got! I love how they rearranged the middle section so that the original solo was the final one. Amazing job by elite musicians, and a true band effort.

The pink guitar is John Mayer's signature guitar. It is the PRS ( Paul Reed Smith) Silver Sky, JM signature model guitar
in the shade Roxy Pink. The green guitar is John's PRS Silver Sky SE model in the shade Evergreen. My son bought a version
of the Silver Sky guitar when they first came on the market, he loves the guitar and says it is the easiest playing guitar he
ever owned. Kudos to John for designing a phenomenal guitar.
