“Help me make the most of pleasure, nothing evar lasts forevar” - a lyric that always hit hard. This song has nevar lost its appeal, there’s some sort of magic at work in it.
...most of freedom and of pleasure

WORRRLDDDDD!!!
Let’s appreciate how astonishing the guitarist and his solos are
Absolutely.
Not over played and have an extra cliifhang earsgasm.
I like this version too
Anybody know the lead guitarist's name? Those solos are ineffable, amazing, make me want to find more of his work, of his magic. And the bass guitarist, Hagar Ben Ari, amazing too but with the added element of being simultaneously Cool (the shades) and Hot -- perhaps _The Venus of the Cool_ (with a nod to Miles Davis).
Keyboard bro looks so happy all the time... so wholesome. It makes me smile.
He should be happy. He's the CEO of Patreon.
The most beautiful 80's song. In my opinion.
Yeah. My dad says its his favorite song
Indeed
One of the most beautiful bridge sections of any song ever.
Agreed.
I agree 😉
We need them to do some Fleetwood Mac
Landslide would be perfect IMO
@@cevadau I think Sara would be an interesting change of pace
Tusk, anyone, anyone, Buellar?
Sweet little lies, definetly!
Funny, I heard some Peter Green Albatross tones in the guitar on this track. I love me some Fleetwood Mac!
I grew up listening to this song. I really like this version!
I did too, but I think I forgot to grow up lol, salut toi et comment ça va ?

Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find You acting on your best behavior
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own desire
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do, I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never, never, never, need it
One headline, why believe it?
Everybody wants to rule the world
All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
This is the old lyrics
Actually its "design" yall messed up
Also, Jack’s facial expressions when he’s really into a song are my favorite thing ever 😆
I love his enthusiasm, its infectious
Like a kid opening a gift at Xmas....lol
I think I've figured it out. Jack's stankface is where all of Nataly's expressions went.
Jamie Dianne me too!🤣
Ditto!
This is a timeless classic that brings back many memories for me. I like that this cover retains the nostalgia of the original yet giving it a more modern tone which just adds to the listening pleasure of this classic. Well done and another one to add to my music list!
well said!
Being old enough to remember the original 🤦♂️😥 I think that I actually prefer this version, I think that it is more elegant.
I prefer Tears for Fears with the intro and instrumental ending
They did an awful job bro
Being something of a guidepost in my transition from a boy to a young man in the 80s, this song holds a very special place in my heart and in my life. You have done it justice and also made an old man happy. Thank you, because as you know "nothing ever lasts forever".
You just took me back 35yrs, thank you :) For a few minutes there I was back to a sunday morning in 1985 with the sun shining, me and my wife in our new MR2 with the sunroof out, windows open and playing this in the cassette deck as we drive to Napa valley for lunch at the Mustard grill.
Bassist gotta wear shades cause her future's so bright.
I mean you all look cool, but she takes it this video.
S'true baby right here!
Thats Hagar from Late late show james corden, its already bright
The Bass players always the coolest in the band....even when there isn’t one😎
channeling Carol Kaye
There’s so much cool in the Pomplamousse crowd. Cool as the pool that the breeze had skimmed.
The sound you’ve got going at the moment is just WOW
Incredible arrangement and great work by the sound engineer. True to the original but adds a new dimension. Stunning cover. Bravo!
Music like this makes the world a better place.
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is a classic, and I'm happy to hear it covered by _Pompalmoose_ : a combination of favorites. 😊
That slow break before the final chorus almost made me cry. You lifted this already amazing song into another sphere out of this world. Wonderful.
jesus christ, that's what a bass player does. Elevates everything.
I've never hit like so quickly, let alone on a cover! Laid back, airy sweet vocals and that guitar motif that floats and sings right in the groove. Ah... A perfect ending to this night.
I want someone to deep fake Jack's expressions onto Nataly's face. Epic cover as per usual.
Lolol if someone does please link me to it xD
Let's not hi-Jack Nataly...

This album is still on my loose stack that I listen to once a week, but man, the drama Natalie puts into it really makes the lyrics even more meaningful. God you guys are good. So tight!
i love this version. has its own twists and perks than the original one, but still similar. has more of those dreamy vibes. 🤩✨
Never realized this song from my teen years was so extensively covered. As much as I love Tears for Fears, I have to say justice done here.
The vocal rhythm of this reminds me of when Angela Moss covers it during karaoke in “Mr. Robot”. Which I love.
I listened this song when i was 13 years old, 34 years ago. ♪♫♫♪♪
@@MonogramistaML I would have been 2! I didn't realise that this song was that old.

The original always tears me up as I love the song, but it brings back the most painful memories & emotions from my younger days too. This version does the same...but is a fraction less painful and much more melodic. Thank you @Pomplamoose
coolest bass player I've ever seen
Natalie's voice is BEAUTIFUL im swooned
edit: also lowkey crying
There is so much depth to this song that I never realized before...

very millennial sounding cover.. great lyrics though
One of my favourite songs, exactly because of it's understated depth and meaningfulness. Most people never realize. Thanks for noticing and making it known.
probably related to 1984
This is my favorite cover you guys have done. Just so so good. Gorgeous and groovy, I love it!
As a fan of this song since the first time it hit the airwaves, this is the best cover I've ever heard.
I never, never, ever thought I’d like a cover of this song, which, by the way, I’ve been either playing or singing to myself more than any other song ever since the original came out, but, I should have known Pomplamoose would not only prove me wrong, but just blow my mind! This is wonderful !
Jack's "I love this shit" stank faces bring joy and smiles. Nataly' voice bring dreams and awe. And this cover just brought me tears!
THIS YOUNG WOMAN HAS A VERY PARTICULAR VOICE. A BEAUTIFUL BUT STRANGE VOICE. I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS THE RESULT OF AUTO TUNE OR pure talent!
this is the best cover I've ever listened to. practically been on repeat since I found it late last night
It has been a long time since a band has the ability to put a smile on my face, thank for the music, I feel like that age before you learn how cruel the world is, this is such a nice break and so much talent in one room, just priceless.
A expressão do tecladista é a melhor parte. E a vocalista que nem abre a boca pra cantar ? Magnífico amo esse grupo.
Brian is a subtle guitarist that is the lynchpin in he sound of this song. It's not obvious but it is essential.... THAT is a rhythm guitarist. On Point. Kudos my man.
I’ve been listening to this on repeat at my desk for like an hour - SUCH AN AMAZING COVER!!!!!
that's it... do a "Best of The 80's album" so i can buy one :D
Agreed!
Same!
I play this song and some of their other covers every time I want to cheer up. Clear, beautiful joy!
THE BEST COVER OF THIS SONG!!!!❤❤
There are some songs that are so perfect, it's hard to alter the arrangement. You tweaked it a bit (ever so tastefully), but left most of the bones in place. Still put your flavor into it so nicely.
This one is radio ready. I'd think Sirius Spectrum would put it into rotation today.
Brilliant cover--every facet of it is just wonderful.
I still refuse to believe that the guy on the keys is the CEO of Patreon
woah ive been subbed to pomplamoose for literal years and i had no idea
@charles kacirek - Yeah, Pomplamoose fan for many years, but that is the unfortunate part of it. I've always been able to separate different things people produce from the person or other activities (appreciating the creation, despite the creator or other creations), but I get it when people can't.
@charles kacirek Yikes kid. Anyone who has been deplatformed was pushing hate and lies. Some very blatantly, some under a veil of civility which fools dipshits like you all too easily. And they leave most of these deranged right wingnuts alone, only a small few get the bans they deserve. I hope you wake up from the Dump craze and Faux news bubble someday and join reality.
I don’t feel like getting in an internet argument today, but I’ll just leave a few thoughts so folks can hear an additional perspective and then make up their own minds for themselves. As a creator myself, this stuff is super important to me, and I’ve been really frustrated with how TH-cam and Facebook have dealt with content policy. Here’s how I think about it: we have a zero tolerance policy for hate speech - no racism, no bigotry. Doesn’t matter if you’re left or right. No racism. We also don’t allow people to fund violence or threats using Patreon - I’m proud of this policy and I stand behind those decisions. We have active processes and systems to combat political bias when making policy decisions, and we invest SO MUCH in making sure that we’re being thoughtful about how we do it. 10% of our team works on that problem. We just opened two new offices, devoted to Trust and Safety, to ensure that we’re giving it the attention it deserves. I had no idea when starting Patreon, that I would be in a position that required us to make these types of tough decisions. We’re talking about a person’s income here - that is not to be taken lightly. So our response has been to invest a TON in making sure that we’re doing it well and being fair and consistent. I stand by our decisions to keep Patreon free of racism, hate speech, bigotry, threats, and violence. If that decision turns you away from listening to Pomplamoose - i still stand by it. If anyone is still unsure, I would encourage you to read the facts about individual situations - not just the headlines, or the title of a video, but the facts! I think you will find that Patreon makes thoughtful, consistent, non-political decisions. Ok this is a long comment!! Thanks for reading and thanks for listening to my band! I feel so lucky to be able to make music and have people listening to it!!! It’s a dream come true.
@charles kacirek So by leftist I suppose you mean someone who is encumbered with factual information and reality?
Sonically faithful to the original but stylistically distinct.
Perfect way to describe it

There is nothing to “not like” on these covers. Love the fact you are back to such a fantastic arrangements, thank you!

Great cover of a classic song. The musicians nailed it. I like the female vocal too. It makes this rendition distinctly different.

Wow...you’ve really mastered the art of transferring a feeling through your sound...I can feel how much fun your having the joy is infectious! Keep it coming! Thank you!
Today is my birthday and you've just made it better with this beautiful rendition of one of my all-time favourite TFF songs! Thank you, love you guys!
That was… stunning. Beautiful in its own right and made me love the original even more too.

Maravilhosos, impecáveis...se for possível, pensem em gravar, " The whole of the moon" acredito que fariam mais uma, dentre as inúmeras maravilhas que já fizeram. Adoro vocês..
Oh, YAY!!!! Tears for Fears is such a great band and I loved them so much in the 80's! They really wrote some amazing songs -- this being one of them -- thank you for covering this!
I'm a huge Tears fan and have been for a LONG time...this is a FANTASTIC cover...great job guys!!!
Just completely wholly dig every damn thing you all do. Thankful you are out there doing it and looking forward to seeing you in the future live!
I'm at a loss for words. In the most positive way imaginable.
I am blown away every time I hear Nataly sing, how her voice can be so soft, casual and laid back yet so precise. I never tire of that paradox.
Jacks keyboard faces are just so great in this video
Loving the antique Neumann U47 mic on the main vocal
Alright i've decided the guitarist is my favorite dude. Look at him, just chillin.
The base player looks so chill in those shades!! Great remake!!

I love this cover. It captures the somber tone and it’s more calm. I remember the original well because of the charisma and power it has, like let’s goooo, so glad I can listen to both
