Now in its fifth generation the Nissan Altima continues to add sparks of excitement to a segment dominated by competent but often dull entries. Alongside top selling luminaries like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry the Altima stands as an intriguing alternative. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
The design still looks good after 6 model years. I own a '07 2.5 S that I just bought earlier this year & it's an impressive car overall. Good power & fuel economy, comfortable ride, sporty handling & a roomy interior. It's a huge upgrade from my previous car which was a '06 Toyota Corolla S. I needed a bigger car with more legroom. I'm over 6ft tall.
Do you still have it
@@jaisk- No. I sold it back in 2011 & replaced it with a new 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 then a 2017 Lexus IS200t F-Sport in 2018 & currently a 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport that I bought in June 2020.
Was there a reason why you sold it?
@@jaisk- Mainly the CVT which had to be replaced at one point under warranty. It had a few other problems as well. All of the Toyota/Lexus vehicles I've owned since then haven't had any problems as expected. Never buying another Nissan.
I have this car too. I have a silver 2011 2.5 S and I love it. Haven't had any problems. I already have 60,000 miles on it and it still drives like its brand new. Very solid feel when driving which makes it sporty but still remains very refined in the cabin while driving noise and tire noise are minimal. Camry's are too soft making driving feel out of placed and clunky. Accord is its rival. I'd still pick the Altima over all.
how about that cvt tranny I hear they break down
i have this car , and it's rly amazing so comfortable and rly enjoyful while riding it
An awesome car! Got it brand new put a crap load of miles and just traded it in, it was my first car it's a fun car to drive
+Alfredo Galban hi guy.i heard some people that toyota camry more quality and reliability than altima.is this right?ive got 2012 altima and i havent any problem with 45000km.and in my opinion,altima more comfortable than accord,camry,sonata and optima.but i drive accurately...thanks)
I’m getting one today!😍😍
Reliability and negligence are often used synonymously on the internet. People will neglect a reliable car and take advantage
Getting one in 2 weeks
Alfredo Galban this is my moms car. People say it’s not good but it’s lasted for 9 years when she first got it. Still works good lol
love my 2010 altima, great car
Maybe I missed it. Does this come with optional 5 or 6 speed manual?
I have a 2008 Altima SE with the six speed. 2011's havent changed much. New hood. I love my car! Doing 70 on the Turnpike, I can get 30mpg!
I replaced my '89 Altima with a'10 Altima Hybrid. For the type of driving I do, I can go 6-8 weeks without visiting the gas station. Elegant interior, comfortable ride. I'm a large person - MUCH better fit than Camry or Accord, much more comfortable to drive than the Prius.
What do they mean by audio system? like a radio?
This fourth generation of Altima from 2007-2012 (with a facelift in 2010) by Nissan competes with Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Subaru Legacy, Mitsubishi Galant, Suzuki Kizashi, Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6, Saturn Aura, Ford Fusion, Dodge Avenger, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima and Volkswagen Passat.
the 2007-2012 Nissan Altima is assembled in
Smyrna, Tennessee, United States
Canton, Mississippi, United States
I'm surprised they say the Camry and Accord ride more comfortably since I found the Altima to have quite a comfortable ride without the wallowy motions of the Camry. Not sure about the Accord. The back seats in these are a bit short on head room for taller passengers. Overall I think they are really nice (the materials used inside put it among the top in the segment) and the engine feels more powerful than the 175 hp suggests.
@Buckles0528 yeah there is a 6 speed manual available with the coupe & sedan.
Don't the CVT brake easy?
the engine on the 2007-present Nissan Altima

3.5 L VQ35DE V6 270 hp (201 kW) SR
I actually like the Altima. It combines several aspects: sporty, fuel-efficient, very comfortable, and pleasing to drive. This also might be one of the only Nissans I'd consider.
I have 2011 nissian altama 4 door Marion in color and it's a so I think. I just need to know what the blue book value is on it. It has 176,00.00 thousand miles on it and still drives like I just pulled it right out of the car lot. Please can anyone help. I only owe 3,658 bucks and then it would be of off.
@hehh543 True, but Altima should have it as an OPTION at least. It's impossible to get a powered passenger seat :(
Thank you
I think the 3.5 V6 is the best looking Altima right now
@Shuffle3956 but i have to give the crown to korean car makers (hyundai/kia) for stepping it up even further in terms of quality, styling, warranty, features and pricing. I don't know how the manage to make profits out of their products but they sure as hell have crafted the perfect recipe for success.
@Buckles0528 A six speed manual comes only in the Altima coupe, as far as I know.
not bad though. i like the design and the interior is very efficient. There is plenty of features and technology inside the Altima! I wish the Altima had better gas mileage, but the fuel economy on this car seems good to me. The Altima also has options for the Altima Hybrid and the Altima Sports Coupe, not bad! I say the perfect car for cruising the city!
@jvrdlc hmmm what about mazda 6?
Let's agree to not bash on cars that we have never owned and driven.
Nissan Xterra review please
Nice video, like alweighs however Im pretty sure this is the 4th Gen Altima, but again, not trying to be mean, just saying...
@Shuffle3956 well i have to agree with you with the fact that if it wasn't for the japanese competition american cars would still be on carburetors, having said that... i have to give props were is due and that is to the big three for finally realizing that bad cars will only create bad reputation funny thing that it took them some 30 years to understand that.
@jacoale I guess they figure if it ain't broke don't fix it. The last time this car was redesigned was 2007 which isn't that long ago.
@easy530 the outside looks boring but the inside looks sick as hell.
@EliteSlayer542 not sure about the honda accord. but definitely the hyundai sonata!
nice car!
Excellent car.
How is it that their most popular model is one of the only ones WITHOUT a redesign?
@hehh543 I'm sorry, but I DO NOT AGREE! They should really get LED Tail Lights for one thing, and they need to DELETE the CVT Transmission! As CVT's are just extremely annoying! & for a topped out trim, you should be able to get power adjustable passenger seats! However, the Alitima is a very nice car, but it is just DYEING for some of those features!!!!!!
@jvrdlc
If you've ever really driven a ford fusion or chevy malibu, you would move it to the top of your so called list.
needs a redesign badly!
The thumbnail is a Toyota Camry for the video
5th gen? its the fourth generation with a new facefit for 2010+
FLOOR IT
I love this car Im so glad I traded in my Mercedes-Benz c class for this car seems crazy I know but if you want better quality when I had my c300 with leather felt like something you'll find in a non-luxury car but when I got my Altima with leather seating so much better I love driving it its 10x better and the quality of this car LOVE IT this car was totally worth it
For this price on base,I will choose Honda accord
i like the rear not the front. i drove one and wasnt realy sold. i didnt like the interior. my first impression was that it is cheap cvt transmissions are fine. you dont realy ever notice
nices car
This is the 5th generation?
I'm not so sure about that.
4th gen kbb
he sounds like he has a cold. and i think the alloys on the sedan are the same size and design as the hubcaps.
this car is in it's FOURTH generation.
@jvrdlc so youre another american car hatr huh?
Why do you keep sayin " Ultima" ?
DID HE JUST SAY ALCIMA 3:21 LOOOL
Happy independence day to all 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Maxima all the way
@eskimochild87 True
Why is this video thumbnail a Toyota Camry?
@xelxtravieso619x no the 2011 sonata has more then that dude the styling is way better handling is great altima is a boring old design they are just like toyota keeping the same design year after year after year
THE MAXIMA LOOKS TEN TIMES BETTER.
@InsurgenceRX
And your surprised? Every car manufacturer has recalls almost every year. Toyota's big year of recalls doesnt make up for an entire decade of shitty cars, not even close. Theres obviously a reason why that acronym is associated with Ford. American cars have FINALLY upped their standards but I doubt ANY American car will outlast, have less repairs, and wlll be more reliable than ANY Japanese or German car.
yes that comment was 2 years ago lol
How does the car drive now, I am thinking about buying the altima this week
@Kalena Young I recently retired my Altima with 145k miles on it. Never had any real big issues with the exception of the tire sensors. Otherwise, the car worked great. I just found a great deal on a new car that I couldn't say no to.
@InsurgenceRX
LMAO. Fix Or Repair Daily? No thank you. Japanese > American
@IamLoGiiC Ha, you make me laugh when you say "reliable german cars" VWs and Audis are just laughable, you'll get 500= dollar problems within months and Mercedes and especially BMW aren't far behind. Keep in mind though that the American cars of today are WAY better and more reliable than the ones from 3 years ago. They aren't as bad as you say.
@InsurgenceRX
Initial quality sure, long term reliability is totally different. Ford earned its many acronyms with its shitty cars and I dont think American cars will ever be up to par with imports because American cars arent as reliable as Japanese or German cars. And I never said I was a Patriotic American either. I dont claim to be at all, so I shouldnt be hearing this "I need to support American cars or get out of this country" bullshit.
AAA Hill no
What's up with these bland design's???
Neeeeeeds a redesig... badly
🇵🇷
camry ftw! hahahahaha.
The Hyundai Sonata and Honda Accord are the class leaders. Screw this thing.
It's okay but boring.
