    Now in its fifth generation the Nissan Altima continues to add sparks of excitement to a segment dominated by competent but often dull entries. Alongside top selling luminaries like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry the Altima stands as an intriguing alternative.

    The design still looks good after 6 model years. I own a '07 2.5 S that I just bought earlier this year & it's an impressive car overall. Good power & fuel economy, comfortable ride, sporty handling & a roomy interior. It's a huge upgrade from my previous car which was a '06 Toyota Corolla S. I needed a bigger car with more legroom. I'm over 6ft tall.

      @jaisk- ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you still have it

    • @DisneyMusicVideos
      @DisneyMusicVideos ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jaisk- No. I sold it back in 2011 & replaced it with a new 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 then a 2017 Lexus IS200t F-Sport in 2018 & currently a 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport that I bought in June 2020.

    • @jaisk-
      @jaisk- ปีที่แล้ว

      Was there a reason why you sold it?

    • @DisneyMusicVideos
      @DisneyMusicVideos ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jaisk- Mainly the CVT which had to be replaced at one point under warranty. It had a few other problems as well. All of the Toyota/Lexus vehicles I've owned since then haven't had any problems as expected. Never buying another Nissan.

    I have this car too. I have a silver 2011 2.5 S and I love it. Haven't had any problems. I already have 60,000 miles on it and it still drives like its brand new. Very solid feel when driving which makes it sporty but still remains very refined in the cabin while driving noise and tire noise are minimal. Camry's are too soft making driving feel out of placed and clunky. Accord is its rival. I'd still pick the Altima over all.

    I replaced my '89 Altima with a'10 Altima Hybrid. For the type of driving I do, I can go 6-8 weeks without visiting the gas station. Elegant interior, comfortable ride. I'm a large person - MUCH better fit than Camry or Accord, much more comfortable to drive than the Prius.

    This fourth generation of Altima from 2007-2012 (with a facelift in 2010) by Nissan competes with Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Subaru Legacy, Mitsubishi Galant, Suzuki Kizashi, Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6, Saturn Aura, Ford Fusion, Dodge Avenger, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima and Volkswagen Passat.

    I'm surprised they say the Camry and Accord ride more comfortably since I found the Altima to have quite a comfortable ride without the wallowy motions of the Camry. Not sure about the Accord. The back seats in these are a bit short on head room for taller passengers. Overall I think they are really nice (the materials used inside put it among the top in the segment) and the engine feels more powerful than the 175 hp suggests.

    I actually like the Altima. It combines several aspects: sporty, fuel-efficient, very comfortable, and pleasing to drive. This also might be one of the only Nissans I'd consider.

      I have 2011 nissian altama 4 door Marion in color and it's a so I think. I just need to know what the blue book value is on it. It has 176,00.00 thousand miles on it and still drives like I just pulled it right out of the car lot. Please can anyone help. I only owe 3,658 bucks and then it would be of off.

  • @joewillgo

    @hehh543 True, but Altima should have it as an OPTION at least. It's impossible to get a powered passenger seat :(

    @Shuffle3956 but i have to give the crown to korean car makers (hyundai/kia) for stepping it up even further in terms of quality, styling, warranty, features and pricing. I don't know how the manage to make profits out of their products but they sure as hell have crafted the perfect recipe for success.

    not bad though. i like the design and the interior is very efficient. There is plenty of features and technology inside the Altima! I wish the Altima had better gas mileage, but the fuel economy on this car seems good to me. The Altima also has options for the Altima Hybrid and the Altima Sports Coupe, not bad! I say the perfect car for cruising the city!

    @Shuffle3956 well i have to agree with you with the fact that if it wasn't for the japanese competition american cars would still be on carburetors, having said that... i have to give props were is due and that is to the big three for finally realizing that bad cars will only create bad reputation funny thing that it took them some 30 years to understand that.

    @hehh543 I'm sorry, but I DO NOT AGREE! They should really get LED Tail Lights for one thing, and they need to DELETE the CVT Transmission! As CVT's are just extremely annoying! & for a topped out trim, you should be able to get power adjustable passenger seats! However, the Alitima is a very nice car, but it is just DYEING for some of those features!!!!!!

    And your surprised? Every car manufacturer has recalls almost every year. Toyota's big year of recalls doesnt make up for an entire decade of shitty cars, not even close. Theres obviously a reason why that acronym is associated with Ford. American cars have FINALLY upped their standards but I doubt ANY American car will outlast, have less repairs, and wlll be more reliable than ANY Japanese or German car.

      @Kalena Young I recently retired my Altima with 145k miles on it. Never had any real big issues with the exception of the tire sensors. Otherwise, the car worked great. I just found a great deal on a new car that I couldn't say no to.

  • @AdrianC12345
    @AdrianC12345 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @IamLoGiiC Ha, you make me laugh when you say "reliable german cars" VWs and Audis are just laughable, you'll get 500= dollar problems within months and Mercedes and especially BMW aren't far behind. Keep in mind though that the American cars of today are WAY better and more reliable than the ones from 3 years ago. They aren't as bad as you say.

  • @IamLoGiiC
    @IamLoGiiC 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @InsurgenceRX
    Initial quality sure, long term reliability is totally different. Ford earned its many acronyms with its shitty cars and I dont think American cars will ever be up to par with imports because American cars arent as reliable as Japanese or German cars. And I never said I was a Patriotic American either. I dont claim to be at all, so I shouldnt be hearing this "I need to support American cars or get out of this country" bullshit.
