I am blaming you!! Loved the look of this when I originally watched the videos. Just revisiting this video series and finally bought the full GT2 kit. Some good tips I will be using during the body build.
Love how you tell us what you did wrong so we don't do that...haha. Love the color, I don't have any Red Tamiya cars yet either! Adding it to the list now!
@@RCKickschannel you are far better than me bud! Although mine are run in the t back yard track all summer so they look nothing like that build day finish ever again 😂 Still like to try and get them right at the start though
Hi Gav, really nice met red colour, should pop in the sunshine ☀️, i have to get myself a set of those mst wheels for my MK2 Ford Escort body for the proper off set. Niiiiiiiiiiice video.
@@RCKickschannel hey also I just remember that my trams am has super grip wide Tamiya rims and tires same as hpi but harder to get but I got all from the same place Netherlands rc I think it's called. I'll send you the pics on messenger
Gav, in German the J has a Y sound, so it's pronounced Yagermeister. Same with the Junkers airplanes, it's pronounced Yunkers. BTW the body looks great.
Can’t remember where I heard it I think to was about hot rods back in the day but bright yellow under red enhances the colour, might be worth a go compared to a white layer?
With respect, I use a scalpel to score round the cut lines, the you'll find the lexan will snap / peal perfectly with no need to sand. Try it out on a scrap bit of lexan to practice.. great video's btw
Wow, your Porsche collection is looking great and this street going version is very nice.. got to get one for myself at some point. Then which version do I do🤔🤣
Yeah, for some reason the MST stuff has been a little hard to get. I bought my last set through AsiaTees. Came quick too. RCMart has them in stock too. My first pair I got from Amain Hobbies in the US (because I’m from the US) and even they had some stock issues. In fact the CS-R “no dot” drift tires have been discontinued by MST, superseded by the “purple dot” tires. Yet… MST still promotes the “no dot” on their website if you look at drift tires compounds.
I hope MST isn't having business issues as I love the rims from them. Having adjustable offset really makes life easy as well as lets you set them up perfect for the body
Those mst wheels are impossible to find. After 4 days and countless websites I found 1 set for my 45 year Porsche. Not sure why mst isn’t keeping up. Wasn’t just those. Seemed like most of their wheels are not available.
Hi Gav, loving your Porsche collection, I’m actually a bit jealous 😂 Im a huge 911 fan but I was a bit late to the party with the Porsche kits as I’ve only just got back into the hobby recently and missed out on the limited edition 934 kits. I have managed to recently get my hands on a NIB Porsche GT2 kit no 84399 which I’m super excited about! I want to do it in the same box art as the 30th anniversary edition kit 49400 as I love that colour and look. I’m really struggling to get hole of the decal set for it though, are those the decals you’re thinking about selling? If so I would definitely be interested in buying them. Please let me know if I can take them off your hands 🙏🏻😁 Ps, check out Dimention rc on eBay for number plates, they’re awesome.

Standard emery boards for filing fingernails, in various grits is what I use for sanding down Lexan or other plastics. Works a treat.
Wow, that metallic red looks sexy as hell on that Porsche!! Great video, and a very handy tip for 'problem areas', nice one!
Very nice color of the Porsche. I like to do this conversion also on my Ta03rs.
Glad to see you back to work in the studio again 🙂
Thanks. Loads to be getting on with for sure. :) Back at it again today!
That new body would look good with the British racing green.
I could think of a load of ways to paint up this body. I almost went Rothmans as I love that so much.
You need more Jagermeister cars. Although the Valiant green is nice to
Good to see you back, brilliant video 👍😊
Thank you! 😀
Jaigermister for sure.
Loving the Porsche vibe going on at the moment!
That is legit Bro. Looking forward to seeing it with the spoiler painted.
Loads more to come. I have some good stuff coming for it. As soon as everything arrives I will make another update video
Love how you tell us what you did wrong so we don't do that...haha. Love the color, I don't have any Red Tamiya cars yet either! Adding it to the list now!
I show everything, I have no issues showing my mistakes. Hell the 934 Rothmans was born from a mistake I made lol and it's my favourite body.
Great tips on fixing trouble areas on the paint Gavin. Thanks for that advice pal 🙌🏻👍🏻
I'm no pro painter but I'm always on the lookout for little tips that make life easier.

Love it love the red

MST rims are lovely.
Wow looks great Gavin very nice 👍
Thanks Pete 👍
space the wheels out with 1mm washers and use flat 4mm nuts thats what i do comes out great and very adjustable
I will give that a go
Thats a great red.... Cheers
I was happy with it and it does have a road car feel about it. I just need to add a load more detail now to really make it pop.
Great episode 👍 you inspired me on the gt2 build i Manged to get hold of a brand new Gt2 kit 😎
That is awesome Ross! GT2 kits are getting harder to find these days as well as $$$$ Have fun!
So need a collection of porsches looks epic gav !!
Thanks Luke. Yep I'm getting into the Porches as the bodies are so lovely.
👍🏻nice Job…
I brought hpi rims from Neverland's to get the fat rims and tires for my gt4
I’ll go take a look 👍🏻

Looking good so far 👍
Thanks 👍
Wow sweet Porsche man 🏎🏎🏎🏎👻👻👻👻
If you are familiar with the YT channel 'Harry's Garage', he had one of these in red. H 550 was his registration.
Yep I watch all Harry's stuff, even the farm channel.
Mate there is a 911 on your shelf with Rothmans decals (shown at 0:39). How do I get my hands on one of those?
Gav, in German the J has a Y sound, so it's pronounced Yagermeister. Same with the Junkers airplanes, it's pronounced Yunkers. BTW the body looks great.
Thanks, Yagermeister got it!
Can’t remember where I heard it I think to was about hot rods back in the day but bright yellow under red enhances the colour, might be worth a go compared to a white layer?
That's a good idea! I will try yellow on the next red car.
With respect, I use a scalpel to score round the cut lines, the you'll find the lexan will snap / peal perfectly with no need to sand. Try it out on a scrap bit of lexan to practice.. great video's btw
Someone hasn't watched all my videos! Get to the back of the class and finish your viewing homework! ;)
Wow, your Porsche collection is looking great and this street going version is very nice.. got to get one for myself at some point. Then which version do I do🤔🤣
Some lovely Porsche options available for sure Lee. I just placed an order today for a load of extra detail parts for the body.
I like the spongebob , 2 hours later :) on all ur vids
I think it gives a true interpretation of the hours between takes lol
Cool..where can you get those mini body clips they look great
Came with it Adam.

Gav, strange question I know but what brackets do you use to hang cars directly onto the wall? E.g the 934 behind you in this video? Thanks
It’s a sticker hook and then some cotton thread passed in a loop around the front body post mounts.
Jagermeister!
I agree!
Amazing Porsche...i love it! Is it a new kit from Tamiya?
It's the current Porsche GT1 Street kit chassis and an older GT2 Porsche body.
Looking mint mate....are you going to under coat the wing white so the red pops and matches the body..?👍🇬🇧😎
Yep I have some red primer. I will clear the Tamiya PS paint to make it shine.
Lovely paint work. You talked about offset wheels, how do they work.
You can slide the inside centre of the rim up and down the barrel of the wheel
Those mst wheels are impossible to find. After 4 days and countless websites I found 1 set for my 45 year Porsche. Not sure why mst isn’t keeping up. Wasn’t just those. Seemed like most of their wheels are not available.
Fingers crossed MST isn't having business issues.

It doesn't matter at all, but since it clearly annoys you it's pronounced Yay - Ger - My - Ster. :)
If you pronounce "Porsch", "Tschaigermeister" will be o.k.😉 Just kidding! Pronounce it however you like. Everybody will understand.
