Lol had to let you know right off the bat the giggle and run around in the intro made me chuckle
At the f2 connection, I had two extra 4mm washers that came in that parts bag, put one each on the head side of the screws, and the other four as shown in the instructions on the back of the damper stay to eliminate that slop.

My 10 year old niece and her girlfriend from school just finished building this kit, she thinks seeing it sounds like a busted egg beater you might have used a screw that's too long on the diff cover and damaged the crown gear, she said if you Undone the cover you might be able to use a hobby knife to repair the damaged gear before it self destructs itself.
Kids these days know more than some adults, smart little buggers 🤓

Hi, like I would be that stupid! Actually it was because I left some spur on the G6 gear and it was tapping the gearbox case when rotating. So yes, a little stupid hehehe 👍🏻👍🏻 All fixed now lol. This gear cover doesn’t let you do that mistake, I remember reading about it but I can’t remember what gearbox it was, Evo, TT02?

For a special edition celebration kit I’m surprised they didn’t put some nice alloy bits in there, at least some nice dampers. Don’t blame you for building it, no point just looking at a box of bits

It's a great kit indeed, looks very nice with all the hopups already in the kit. As I've just finished the standard TA-02S chassis for my Lancia 037, I'm going to wait a while before building this one. Looking forward to the end result of your build Gav!

I hear you are suffering from massive shortages of kits currently. Adam from RC Action Australia imports a load due to this problem.
Its such a nice build this one brings back memories of building my black edition.

Nice kit, got two of these 😀. Finally a Tamiya kit comes with bearings, next thing on the wishlist are hex hardware, precut decals and ESC with lipo cut off. However, i am excited how the car will turn out with flat clear. Nice content as always 👍
Bearings used to be standard in the mid-grade TA and TB chassis kits that included bodies; I wish Tamiya would make more of those.
If you experience abnormally many veiws on this playlist it is just me who has to watch it over and over 😂 your videos aren’t only educational but they are also very fun to watch too 😊 keep bringing us these fantastic build videos 😊

Great build! Mine is backorder, I have 3 on going builds presently. One is a TRF gas that I'm converting to electric. I received the electric motor mount and esc for this build. It will have a quite new vehicle life. The gas sound and smell is awesome! I can't drive it anywhere near my house anyway. I await the 45 anniversary car.
It’s hard to beat the convenience of electric, especially if you’re trying to be discreet. Even 1/8th scale electric conversions don’t lack for power and duration.
Why are Tamiya's soo compelling?
I want to build 100 of them...

Great build, But i don't understand why Tamiya didn't put adjustable upper arms on this kit. In the process of building a all out hop up optioned TAO2 car, Has taken me long time to get parts but will a killer build.

I’m searching for a Kyosho Inferno GT3 kit in vain; there’s nothing available except for an eBay listing at $1k shipped.
That looks a cracking kit to build so is it worth me holding on to my monet and wait for more kits to come to the UK as prices are ridiculous at the moment cracking video as usual keep up the good work

That looks like a very nice build :) I can understand why people might want hop-ups on this car, but at the end of the day most people will never run them, like you they'll be shelf queens and never see any running at all. Personally I'd definitely run one if I had one, I'm not one for shelf queen cars, so I'd get a few upgrades. Great video as always, look forward to seeing the bodyshell finished soon :)
I have anticipated it’s release for months now and had one on back order through tower hobbies. Last night my wife goes to bed and starts yelling at me, “who just spent $250 at Horizon Hobbies” I didn’t realized the order I placed months ago just shipped through tower and was finally charged. I was laughing because my wife sanctioned this purchase but the timing couldn’t have been worse right before Christmas while the bank account has been taking a beating over Christmas presents. Let’s hope my back ordered blockhead doesn’t also ship in the next couple of days because then I’ll be in real big trouble.

Is there something wrong with me? like gavs i would buy the kit and build it. i would also have no problems ignoring the pretty box and breaking it up to fit into my recycling bin.
The box holds the value for most things for future resale value

I'm guilty of using my needle nose pliers on shock shafts at times. I wrapped the shock shafts with some cardboard from a book of matches as not to scratch the shafts

Yes, that’s what it’s for, to be build.
Gavin dose the the kit come with bearings or do you have to buy them separately? The block head motors did not come with bearings

Hi Bruce, yes the kit comes with every bearing, even the steering ones.
Instead of those upper arms with all the play in them just make up some turnbuckles. I'd assume you probably already have most of what you'd need. Rod ends and balls you probably have from so many other kits and upgrades. Probably just need to figure out what length turnbuckles you need.

How much are these going for in the free world? I was excited to pick one up, but it cost about $800 here… So I bought a Xbox series X instead.
Just about $270 in the US.
Please pardon my ignorance/lack of know, but Is there really anything ‘special’ about this Rc kit ? It has a limited edition title, yes, it’s a well known real life super car name…. But what really sets it apart?… is it the box? … the limited amount? … it’s nothing special without the shell? .. maybe it’s just me? …..
