7:00 it is interesting phenomenon that while hovering, rotary wing aircrafts like drones use slightly more energy than flying directional flight. Its called "Translational Lift". So if you now do the same flight test with the same oaw of drone, you will get less flight time
In my quadcopter i get randomly EKF ground mag anomaly(very danger cause copter acting wired), should i recalibrate it even that the pixhawk has a global magnitude database and no need for compass calibration they said
When you changed your props and esc's... on the new build, did your flight time increase or decrease.. I copied your build, my drone looks really nice..
Hey, great work and thanks for sharing! I built a similar setup a while ago which I use for aerial filming, I have the Tarot 650 with the following: Naza M, DJI E600 Propulsion System with 12 inch props, Runcam Eagle Micro, Video Tx Boscam TS835, Eachin Diversity FPV Monitor etc. I recently Bought a Jumper T16 and TBS crossfire to upgrade for longer flights. I've been using the Tarot T3D gimbal with an action cam but it's never been that great despite tuning it and has recently gone faulty. If you want to get nice footage without your props in the shot you should extend the 10mm carbon rods that hold your gimbal with longer rods, that's what I did with mine. I'm keen to checkout your build to see how you extended the arms, I'm guessing it's a lot more stable with larger props and arms.
Sounds like you have a sweet setup! I have been thinking about extending the boom arms for the gimbal and might have to do so. I just purchased the gopro hero 8 so I'm excited to see what kinda of footage I can get with it!
@@builtfromhome9207 Hey thanks, you'll get super smooth footage with the GoPro, a lot of FPV guys get really good results without gimbals, the Osmo action is also very good. Are you going to install FPV? I've heard TBS unify pro is the way to go or the DJI FPV if you have the money.
@@Renclif I already have an FPV setup on the drone but I forgot to show it in the video. I will be doing another video here in the future about my fpv setup integrated with the GoPro. So look for that video. it will probably be in a month. When the extra parts arrive.
I want my next build to be the pixhawk 2.1. It was just a bit more expensive and no one had really done anything with the pixhawk 4 so I thought I would give it a chance.
In my view this is inefficient. The flight time is low as compared to your setup. In my quad I'm getting 11 min flight time with a 3axis gimbal and fpv setup and 4200 mah lipo.
I am thinking about buying this as an alternative to DJI. Thanks for the video
Thank You Greatly! Now I got to build one and find how much payload can you take up and drop.

nice to see big quads! 👍
Hello :),
valuable information from your video but I'm bothering what charger you use for this Tattu lipo pack.
In my quadcopter i get randomly EKF ground mag anomaly(very danger cause copter acting wired), should i recalibrate it even that the pixhawk has a global magnitude database and no need for compass calibration they said
19 minutes is great!
how do you setup the telemetry in Jumper T16 yaapu widget to the PX4.Do you used an extra hardware.
When you changed your props and esc's... on the new build, did your flight time increase or decrease.. I copied your build, my drone looks really nice..
have any tips to configure the tarot landing gear to automatically retract when the return mode is triggered?
Im using this frame for my quadcopter (no gps), why i always got EKF mag anomaly?
Only 19 minutes? What kind of efficiency have those motors for this pack?
Nice. Thanks.
PIXHAWAK 2.8 ...???
Which firmware to be flashed for PIXHAWAK or no firmware. Any tips please.
This is a pixhawk 4.
I get 55 minutes flight time on my tarot ironman 650 with li-ion 4S batteries
can u show ur full drone spec ?

What flight autonomy does this configuration give you?

Nice video, but, what firmware did you use, Pixhawk is just the HW, is it not? Love the idea of extending the arms on that build.
Pixhawk is hardware. Ardupilot is software
Two years too late though 🤷♂️
Bro you have to try a pixhawk 2.1

@@builtfromhome9207 pixhawk 4 is archaic though.

Your flight time is very low compare to your AUW. Even I'm getting 16 min 6200 mah, 3S lipo with same setup(only motor and prop are different).☺️
