Yep, you better be ready. Clean rifles are an obsession in the Marine Corps, at least when we were in and I am assuming it is still the same. I am so proud of my dad. He was a China Marine- 1div. He was one of ONLY 1000 US Marine station in China in the late 1940s.
When he died he said Daddy can't leave u much but I leave u the Corps. U are the child of a Marine. I leave u " the history of the Corps and what it means to be part of our USMC family. What an awesome, honorable and elite legacy that I am so proud to be part of!!! Semper Fi Marines!!! Ooohhh raaahhh!!!!

My Father was a Marine from 1939 to 1959. He was in the Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam and Korea. He was a Raider in the 3rd Marine Raider Battalion among other assignments. He did not talk much about the War but when I was older I asked him what he did in the War, his answer, "We got on the boat, landed, went into the jungle, killed everyone,(the enemy), got back on the boat and went to the next island". Why anyone would fuck with the Marines is beyond me !
