Thank you audiology associates! I'm watching from the US. It may seem odd but I watch your videos almost every night before falling asleep. It helps me wind down. You guys are an important part of my routine.
I found myself grunting and moving right along with you trying to pull this mess out, LOL! 😂 You definitely deserved a pint or two after this workout. Great job as always, Rhys, and I'm sure the patient walked out a very happy woman!
Wow and wow. What a beast of an appointment as you would say Rhys!! Such an incredible narrow ear opening; hats off to Mrs B for helping hold the ear channel open so Rhys could work. On top of all of that such an incredible amount of hard sticky wax to get out. I was exhausted just watching your Rhys and my hands hurt right along with you!!!!!!! This fine lady was so fortunate to have you as the professional you are to help her. I can assume she was so pleased having her ears opened up again. Rhys and Mrs B you were quite the team on this one. My sincere compliments to you both!!!!!!! Rhys, you did an amazing job with this lady , great and inspiring work sir!!!!! Iowa State here. Steve. 😊👍👍✅💕🇺🇸
my heavens!! that was brutal, like a lot of Taylor’s lol 😂 good thing Mrs. B was there to help or you might still be there trying to remove that wax 😂😂😂 goodness, im sure she feels better, hope she comes back more often
Greetings, guys, from the Czech Republic-the land of accessible healthcare for all. Doctors here are true heroes. Hats off to them. After watching your videos, I started to feel that all the different pressures and tingling in my ear canals were caused by wax blockages that I must have created using Qtips, coffee spoons, and hairpins. So, I visited my ENT doctor, who told me that, in fact, my ear canals were dry and completely wax-free. This was a groundbreaking discovery for me. I was prescribed corticosteroid drops and salicylic drops. I had to learn to tolerate liquid in my ears. Over time, all the unpleasant sensations disappeared, and now I understand that I shouldn’t clean my ears at all, and that the natural amount of earwax is just right.
That was awesome!!! How did that poor lady hear anything??? Rhys, your perseverance is wonderful. No wax can challenge you and your trusty Rosen inserter!!!! 😂😂😂
You two gentlemen really do give me a giggle! Absolutely amazing job Rhys. Thanks to Mrs. B’s help! Love the camaraderie between you and Taylor. Fabulous video. Thanks so much for sharing.👋❤️🇨🇦
Good golly, that was an epic battle! Thank heavens Mrs. B came in to do much-needed assistance! Did she record any post-battle commentary as well? That would be fun to include in a near-future video... 😉
I just found your videos a few ago and am now hooked. I recently came across a video where you answered questions live. Are there any plans to do another video in that format?
This was great! Post Hurricane Helene relief and relaxation. Thank you for your chuckles and play by play! Much needed tonight. We're in Florida on the NW coast. All my friends & family are alive. Prayers for NC,TN, GA & FL
My goodness me!! I was holding my breath each time you went in to try to suction that lot up! Really incredibly difficult! Well done - both Mr and Mrs B!!❤
How about designing a light sabre to help with wax and skin removal? The patient will hear the whoooosh while you use the Force and the occasional Jedi mind trick to make sure patients come to see you before things become too bad! May the Force be with you!
I have a question. Is there a specific reason why you didn't use a little olive oil? That one fought tooth and nail but as always you won the battle, very nice.
OMG the lovely mister Taylor Green is so young he doesn't remember intermissions or Revels at the movies!! Does he know they used to play God Save the Queen before every movie too and it was call the flicks not the cinema, haha such a young un! Love these long difficult videos, that was a very good one, no wonder your fingers were numb! Love from Australia!🇦🇺🦘
Forget the emoji, Mrs. B. would have actually found me sitting in the corner, staring off into oblivion and rocking. I guess taping the ear back wouldn’t have worked - you’d need tape so strong that the patient would lose half her hair after you were done. This sounds like a job for Neel. You deserved a drink after clearing those ears and both you and Taylor deserve one after that epic voice over. 🍻
Does your camera that you're using in their ear show on a TV screen in front of the patient if they wanted to watch what you were doing? Most people might think it would be gross but I would find it fascinating to see what it is You were doing to explain what I was feeling. ❤❤ Just a thought.
First, I LOVE your videos! Thank you for all your hard work. Your videos are always part of my everyday playlist on You Tube. Then, 2x Silly-billy questions; How much olive oil is enough to put in the ears? I assume not too much but a little guideline would help please. And then why specific olive oil?
Do you ever use an irrigation syringe with warm water and peroxide to force out the gunk? Is it safer on the ear to use the suction stick to pull it out? Also, while you're using the suction stick, is it loud for the patient? I'm from South Texas and I watch your videos on the regular. Fascinating content 👍 I started watching mainly to hear your accent but I enjoy watching the videos too.
Two videos in one day? What an honor! This one was a beast, but Rhys, you are the beast slayer! Great job! And BTW, the tangents you two go off on are awesome...we learn more about you that way. And they're funny. 😊
My brother said he was told by the "ear" doctor that he had two extra flaps inside each ear canal. Now I have a better idea what he has endured. Thank you
Hello Audiology Associates! Thank you so much for these videos, they help me relax and go to sleep at night and for that I am endlessly grateful. I have also learned so much about ears and hearing!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
In the US, they sometimes use liquid stool softener to soften up the wax then warm water irrigation. I've had it done a few times with sinus infections putting so much pressure on my ears that the wax just built up and it definitely impacted my hearing. I was MUCH better after the wax removal.
Thank you for making these videos. I watch them while cooking dinner, not that I’d recommend that 😊. I wish I had known about becoming an audiologist when I was younger because to me, it’s fascinating and looks like something I’d enjoy doing.
Hey guys, have you ever tried a fenestrated suction tip? You could use it nicely with a collapsing canal by leaving the hole open until you get in farther, then cover the hole for stronger suction to help get the grip you need. I was an OR Tech for over 20 years and we used them in ear surgery, cochlear implants, and also on tight spots in the mouth for dental procedures. Just a thought, I think it would help. Give it a go, ask Neill to make some. Have an amazing day. It's so beautiful in SE, PA, USA, today. Much love, stay safe. D, from PA
Oh Revals had all chocolate, toffee, orange cream, coconut, peanut and coffee. It’s been years since I had those. The banter in here is brilliant as is the wax removal. ❤️
Man, did not expect this video to give me a sad pang! I had the privilege of seeing How The West Was Won in the CineramaDome, as it was meant to be watched (.... I was too young and slept through a lot of it.) Ever since the middle of the pandemic, the fate of that iconic Los Angeles landmark has been in question, and I'm so scared it'll end up being torn down or something. It's an important part of our city!
I do wonder, what happens if you have a patient like this scheduled and then it takes like an hour instead of, let's say, the 30min they were scheduled for? Do all the rest wait and then the delay maintains during the day, or how is it handled?
I love Star Wars too, as does my 7 year old daughter. For Halloween of 2023, she went as Darth Vader. When I was 19, I met the man who played Dak Ralton, and I met him again, when I was 39. The following year I brought my daughter, who was a few months old, to meet him. We still keep in touch, but lately I have been really busy. I need to drop him a line, and see how he is. He's really nice.
I love how Rhys is so expressive and excited about his craft. He gets tongue-tied from talking so fast. The BEST!

SAME 😂 even my kids will watch
Amen! I'm in Washington State.
Same here . Michigan
I am also in the US always enjoy 😊 the two young men doing a great job 😊😊
Also watch before going to sleep
Well done. This is such a skilled profession that I totally support the need to have wax removal only done by qualified professionals.
I love how he always says Taylor’s whole name each time.
They may have another Taylor in the office XD

You both are totally so talented in your profession ❤ and provides entertainment too! Astounding!! Thanks Mrs. B ❤😊
When I worked in an ER, years ago, one of the triage nurses would call out "I can be bribed!" As she headed to the front desk.
That’s priceless!!🩵🩵🩵

Poor lady! Glad you were so persistent in helping her out.
My head was moving side to side and up and down with every turbo wiggle😆😆😆. I need to take a nap now, lol

Good thing Mrs B was around to save the day xx
It was "A Beast Ear Wax". Mrs. B. saved the day. along with Rhys.
That sure was a difficult one Rhys. That lady must be so relieved. Great job!👏❤️
Wow, what a great video. I was on the edge of my seat. And of course the two of you are so entertaining. Thank you! 😊

This poor pt.! I can’t believe how badly this senior’s ear was plugged up! Thank you for your patient persistence and help! This was amazing!
Rhys deserves a medal after that one!
That wax removal was like the never ending story! 😂
OMG!!! That was tough! Way to go getting that one cleared out!

Hats off to the patient for being able to sit through.

How do I begin to get professional ear wax removal done in the US? Not even sure where to start. No major issues though. Just some cleaning is nice

Wow! I'm sweating watching this video and is not me doing the work 😁😁 amazing!! Great job guys!
😅
We still have intervals at King's Lynn majestic cinema. Well done on a great job 😊
The Kinema at Woodhall Spa has an interval and organist, we all wander out and get a cup of tea
Love your banter as you explain.
Would some sodium bicarbonate drops have helped in dissolving the wax? Or is that contraindicated?
Sodium bicarbonate drops bubbles the wax which makes it easier to remove if they were using water irrigation not micro suction.
Thank you and may the force be with you.

Wow! This was a massive wax removal! I really enjoyed this video
Do you ever pop the cysts to deflate them?
I wondered that too! Combining pimple popping and wax removal! A whole new obsession for me! Lol
Does this happen more frequently to the elderly?
Well done Rhys and Mrs. B.!❤😊
That was a good one, Rhys!
Thank you for watching ☺️
Have you heard of the wax scope that holds the ear open for better cleaning?

Can the cyst be pricked and drained or too painful?

Keeping the ear canal open.
Well done to the whole team! 😊
Thank you ever so much! 😀🦻
With the cysts? Is it not beneficial to pop the cysts?
Why did you not use the oil? I'm not sure when is the right time to use oil or not.
I felt the frustration in my gut it just wouldnt get out!
Will the cyst clear away on its own?
I wander, in wich case do you do irrigation? I mean, wash all the wax away from the canal,
Kudos to Mrs. B! Not all super heroes wear capes! 🎉
Thank you for making these videos. I watch them while cooking dinner, not that I’d recommend that 😊. I wish I had known about becoming an audiologist when I was younger because to me, it’s fascinating and looks like something I’d enjoy doing.

A lot people don’t like my Microscope ear cleanings and my speculums. In this case a microscope and an ear speculum would have been ideal.
That was tiring just to watch. What a challenging removal! Great job!
Would Neel's waxscope helped with these narrow ears?
Is any of this painful for the patients? Do you ever trim the hairs?
What do you gents do when you come across a superficial cyst or pimple in an ear when treating it?
We are actually not able to remove anything other than foreign bodies and ear wax/infected debris. Usually this ends up being a GP referral
