Wow. Really interesting video today as both of you dealt with full ears. The one you had Rhys had lots of wax and skin to remove but as you always do, got it cleaned out very nicely. Taylor you had Rhys on the edge of his seat on this one. The wax Formation was hard as a rock. You had to use tools to remove the pieces. Wow. The piece you got out was absolutely huge and formed to the channel. Never seen one that big. The patient had to feel relief getting that out. And hearing had to improve. Nice work Taylor. Given how damp that ear canal looked afterwards, how quickly that must have built up (given how white it was), and the fact that it was unilateral, I can't help thinking there might have been some kind of minor infection - candida, maybe?
How did the chunks get so deep in the first patient? I thought the wax only develops at the later part of the canal. The wax didn't have that dented, packed consistency you say is due to Q-tips. Can the chunks somehow fall deeper into the ear canal?
That skin plug was amazing. The relief must have been fantastic!! He went from totally deaf to hearing ants marching!! Take care my favorite audiologists!!

If I fly out will you clean out my ears like this? Mine been plugged for 15+ years. Now i just pour proxied in from time to time. Otherwise I can't hear at all. Whatever is in my ears is rock hard.
Blew out my left ear bad in the Army and had problems ever since. Had one of those work its way out a year after a mastoidectomy and tympanoplalsty. Long and short of it, I’m going back in for a second round of the same procedure here in 2 weeks and have some prosthetic bones implanted as well.
