Hey james, when using smaller baits like those gar, swap ya float for a weighted cigar float. It will lay flatish until a squid grabs it, then it stands up and goes under when squid is good and hooked. Plus better to cast also.

Well done boys once again, James how’s the squid rod that you’re testing out atm going, be good if you can explain to some of us what your favourite squid rods are and why maybe reels also that would be good,, been using the inku jigs for a while now and couldn’t be happier they are awesome jigs

Keep your float with the spike near the pier....squid like structure as well and your jig could well lead the squid to your spike with any cast.

Ooh! We were there Sunday morning but only two fishers caught a single squid each. By midday everyone was gone. Another day perhaps.
It’s definitely hit and miss on this jetty. For the past few years it has been. Previously it was sensational fishing.
@@JamesFishingAdventures My inexperience may also be a factor. Some like yourself might have developed a keen sense of knowledge whereas I am using blind luck. In time I'll get better I hope. Seeing you catch a few gives me hope.

Generally those spots are very productive for squid. Must fish Mornings/afternoons or tide change
