The knowledge and experience of Doc is insane, the fact that he could tell just strictly off the rod that 2 squids were attacking each other is absolutely nutty.
Well I have watched many an episode of BlacktipH but this one was epic. Such beautiful scenery of the Gulf of Aqaba and the good doctor is a real gentleman and fisherman. Glad to see you're doing well Josh. Steve from Scotland.
Man can we just take a minute to give appreciation to Morwan his energy and vibes are just amazing love ppl like that who just have a natural likeable humor and personality
No. We cannot. Laughing at a dying squid is not funny. Yes, many people eat fish, etc, but their is no reason to "HAHA he is dying" There is this thing call humane kills, then there is this thing call inhumane kills. Halal is one of the inhumane kills. Laughing at something dying is also inhumane. There are options to "dispatch" or quick kill animals, fish etc. So you want to vibe over these likeable humor and personality traits? Clearly this is made more apparent from footage on services like youtube. So have a laugh and enjoy the video...

Welcome to Jordan!! I’m happy you enjoyed your time there. Jordan is beautiful and the people are extremely hospitable. Fishing is amazing in the Red Sea! That’s next on the bucket list.
Ma sha'Allah, Dr. Marwan was predecting the behaviors and what's happening just as if he was reading the back of his hand ... Where the squids are, the sizes, the numbers, the sward fish.. everything... Great angler and amazing trip. Great work guys ❤
Josh .. I'm so damn glad you have brought back some super quality clips for fishos around the world .. bless you mate and good health for as long as your clock continues to tick!
It's great to see you feeling better and out doing really cool stuff. Catching squid in Jordan is a new one to me. Awesome. I would definitely rather catch them in Baja Mexico but I'm glad you showed them over there.
So happy to see you out and about doing what you love again. I went to Jordan once while working overseas, I didn't get to fish but went to the dead sea and floated. Did you eat any of that XXXL Calamari?
Do not kill me but: 😁 The giant squid (Architeuthis dux) is a species of deep-ocean dwelling squid in the family Architeuthidae. It can grow to a tremendous size, offering an example of abyssal gigantism: recent estimates put the maximum size at around 12-13 m (39-43 ft)[2][3][4][5] for females and 10 m (33 ft)[3] for males, from the posterior fins to the tip of the two long tentacles (longer than the colossal squid at an estimated 9-10 m (30-33 ft),[6] but substantially lighter, as the tentacles make up most of the length[7]). The mantle of the giant squid is about 2 m (6 ft 7 in) long (more for females, less for males), and the length of the squid excluding its tentacles (but including head and arms) rarely exceeds 5 m (16 ft).[3] Claims of specimens measuring 20 m (66 ft) or more have not been scientifically documented.[3]
that true nevery seen so much Squid in one location at the same time.. ived learn more about behavior,. in my mind Giant is bigger then that... but still very cool. i wonder if they eat them upthere
I'm not even a fisherman but grew up with one. And this video must be one the the most awesome videos on YT, well done, Jordan's amazing thank you for sharing!
These are likely purpleback flying squid and apparently the race found in the Red Sea get particularly large upwards of 6ft or more, also Humboldt squid are not native to this region, they are named after the Humboldt currents which occur along the coast of South America
I was wondering about that. I was certain the Humbolt was exclusively a eastern pacific species, ranging from Terre del Fuego to California. Suposedly, there have been some observations of the squid in waters north of California, they appear to be spreading up the eastern pacific
Humbolt squids can break bones with their beaks, there’s a wildlife filmatographer who got his wrist and hand broken during shooting of a documentary, it’s on YT
You can fish for Humboldt in the sea of cortez as well.. I’ve gone on many charters in the gulf of California where we want vertical squid jigging for big Humboldt squid.. biggest one I ever got was 4ft and weighed a good 43lbs.. they are GREAT calamari and much firmer then smaller octopods
My man Josh going kraken snaggin’ 😂 That squid jig you made is some serious gear. I just wanted to thank you for getting me back into fishing. I’ve been having a really hard time in life lately and your enthusiasm for fishing is contagious in the best way. Let me know if you are ever in NM let’s get on some trout.
That giant squid bait was super cool,I got a new one to my bucket list. This squid fishing is a mind blowing fishing experience I have never seen before.Nature is Brilliant
epic haha they even have nicknames like diablos rojos but i think the most scariest part about them isn't their size but their tentacles. saw in Sir David Attenborough's show where the tentacles just shot out hundreds of hooks to grab the fish. you weren't kidding talking about how aggressive these squids r! that underwater shot of the hook up was sick as too!
These squid are supposed to be really common in the Sea of Cortez, I'm surprised you didn't go there since its closer. I cant wait to see someone catch the giant squid that sperm whale eat.
Man can we just take a minute to give appreciation to Morwan his energy and vibes are just amazing love ppl like that who just have a natural likeable humor and personality ❤❤
I live on the East Coat of Australia where we have some of the most venomous snakes and spiders in the world along with giant great white sharks roaming our beaches but the thought of being munched by giant squid at night is WAAAAY more terrifying
Wow, catching a giant squid in Jordan's waters is truly incredible! The determination and expertise shown by Dr. Marwan and the team are awe-inspiring. It's fascinating to witness these massive creatures up close and learn about their behavior. The effort and excitement in this video are palpable - definitely an unforgettable adventure!
Ever heard of black cat ghost hooks? I think a cable set up of those put along the sides of a (life) bait squid could help hooking them and getting a monster
The knowledge and experience of Doc is insane, the fact that he could tell just strictly off the rod that 2 squids were attacking each other is absolutely nutty.
Completely agree. His knowledge of fishing is truly unique…like a surgeon
