Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

Another rad squid sesh, I'm going to have to have a crack at the berly sack method! I feel you on the shithouse weather, Nev, we've had 'same same but different' over here in Perth - It has been warm as........ but with winds around 32kmh for days. Dropped a nice tailor the other day though [facepalm].

How far under are you’re baits from the floats in 3.3m waters?
When I'm using a fresh bait on a squid jag - I always put it on tail first - that way the head does not interfere with the prongs

Apparently theres a couple ways but the females hood is typically wider and thicker
