@@cartler it's not actually shifting, it's just setting the maximum gear the ECU is allowed to use. They're supposed to be used like a low gear on trucks; engine braking down hills or if you don't have enough power to go up a hill. There are clutchless manuals which would fit the "semi auto" moniker better, like sequential transmissions or even triptronic 😂

The only reason I wouldn’t do it is that, the automatic transmission helps me beat my manual friends.
