If dionne never came or even investigated and listened to Michael's or just drive home instead of staying their looking pretty she could have been saved
Regardless her role in the story was the be the sacrifice to motivate Micheal to lead the group. In superhero stuff the main character usually has to sacrifice love for the bigger purpose of saving the world.
I'm pretty sure no matter what Dionne was fated to die no matter what. I'm pretty sure that she dies earlier than she is supposed to because of Mike's attempts to save her in the future.

I like this series but this death felt forced and artificial. I was also hoping that with the main plot being Michael attempting to save Dionne, the story would be about challenging fate and making your own. I’m a bit disappointed it isn’t really.

I also thought this or even better than that we know he had fast healing so why didn’t he cut his finger or something and use the blood from that to go onto her maybe that would of healed her 🤷♂️ this series got a lot of hate for some reason but I didn’t mind it to be honest I thought it was good interested to see what they do with season 2 if they do one

For those who are familiar with Rapman’s work, this feels very reminiscent to the ending of Shiro’s Story
