It actually originally was a superpower.It's a gene that mutated thousands of yrs ago to fight Malaria. Saved lives. The trait was passed down for survival, unfortunately the downside was the disease which is the inheritance of the trait from both parents. Almost like you can't have too much of that power!

I love how the characters remained relatable. Especially Tazer. They kept him dark. He didn’t just automatically try to become a hero just bc he has powers. He was just tryna get to the money & kill the opps 😅

I really do like that none of the motivations of the supers in the beginning were to help people. Some wanted to use their powers for personal gain, some just wanted to lead normal lives, and one wanted to save someone. By the end they all have a common goal. And I like that it's only when they're confronted with something much bigger than themselves that they actually think about the significance of their existence, and of others.
Yea it did take a min before we got action but the acting was so good I kept watching

Dionne was killing me. She should've went home when the others entered A-Town. At the end Krazy killed her on purpose to get back at Michael. A lot of these characters tap danced on my nerves acting as if being super hero adjacent gave them powers. Especially Tazer friends, following him just got them shot or arrested. Smh...
On par analysis . Dionne was pissing me terribly in that last episode. Taser’s friends were flunkies and soft at heart but always actin tough

This show was amazing. Only problem was that it was too short for my taste. But I love the dynamic between all the characters, and that they all use their abilities in the way that you’d most expect them too
I'm happy to see a predominantly dark skinned cast with 1 or 2 racially ambiguous actors, typically its the reverse. I noticed the sickle cell connections by episode 3 and I was like they have to tie this in somehow, no way its a coincidence. Also the way they go into deep sleeps after using their powers and it seems their abilities charge or flare up when they gather. So if the inheritance theory is true Char and Andre's son will probably activate by season 2 making things very interesting.
I agree but racial ambiguity is not knowing the race. We know they’re black, just mixed race

We know they are black bc the show told us, looking at them they look multi racial. Sabrina looks like she could be a mixture of Indian/Spanish and black . Rodney looks like he can be a few things. Not sure what the debate is for .....
I was shocked, as this is a good show and wanted more. My only worry.....it's on Netflix, as they are notorious for cancelling shows after a season!

The show was really good. I randomly selected to watch it and was pleasantly surprised. More channels should be talking about this show. With all the characters in the show it had a good balance of character development that made sense.
Only thing that pissed my off about the show is some of the events felt so easily avoidable.
Like at the end Michael could’ve just stabbed Krazy properly and made sure he was dead, then Dionne could’ve survived

I THINK you need a lesson in logic. Invisibility isn't a weak power, especially if we look at how things can grow, clearly he can make other inanimate things invisible like his clothes and knife, maybe he can grow to make humans and living things invisible, this is perfect stealth power, honestly unbeatable if he learns how to control it. Those gogles can be circumvented, it's probably heat signature, he can wear clothes suited to his power to remove heat or radiation. This is one of the most powerful powers loool.

I didn't like this show at first. Keep watching, after the first 20 minutes of the first episode it gets better. FYI it's on Netflix. I binged it this weekend, it's pretty dang good.
Yeah the first 20 is a slow build up. But then it presses gas and goes!
i dunno, the first ep was a textbook example of how to make a pilot episode. But then it ended up with the usual basic superheroe trophs. The plot could only move on bc the characters fck around and act dumb, Like the ending could have solved in 2 min, yet they fckd around and ofc shit went down.

I thought the first 20 minutes was just a good setup. Having the audience get to know Michael and Dionne and the rest of the group.
This was probably one of my favorite superhero shows in a long time… probably the only all black superhero cast. Simply blown away.

Great breakdown. I agree with you on Michael traveling to alternate timelines vs there being only one, concrete & unchangeable future. In the first 'future,' we see with Michael, the tombstone for Dionne says "wife." In the present, they spoke about getting married, but obviously in that timeline, they hadn't gotten married yet. So I agree that we will see Dionne again when Michael figures out how to travel to alternate timelines and bring her back.
I just can't wait for season 2 I love this show I would give it 10 out of 10

Crazy had the dopest power. My best friend cousin is Executive producer on this. He did a great job and as a child of a family member with SC. I like how they used it to primarily effect ‘Black people’! I heard about this show year ago and was wondering how they would make this a ‘black’ focused effect. It seemed to get a lil confusing at times but this show is good. 8/10

I knew she was going to. It was so aggravating because she wouldn't go home....but at the same time I understood her. I wouldn't have gone home either.😅 That's why I knew she was going to die. I was still upset, though. HOWEVER, Michael hasn't even tapped into his time travel powers fully. Dionne can still be saved. Let's hope so.
She kept getting in the way trying to help. I felt bad for Michael.

Only thing is Netflix is infamous for canceling after the first season for ‘budget’ reasons.’ So fingers crossed that they keep this. Great writing, action, and acting.
I think one key thing youre missing is that chucky is not dead. I reckon they are going explot that and give him supacell which is quite fitting to make him the next super villain if Kraze is out of the picture

This was really good and good acting too, no dodgy patois from the Jamaican characters which is always a plus - big up Robbie Gee.
I feel like this easily could’ve been 8 episodes, stretch out the story a bit, reason being, it started off with good pace but then by episode 3 it felt like they were rushing through the plot.. that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means i was left wanting more😂

What I really like is that they turned Tazer from a kind of bad guy to a good guy and turned Michael from a good guy to someone who will hunt down who reaaaally killed Dionne without making it too obvious.
