Hello, Have you noticed any thermal issues with AOOSTAR products so far? I´m about to buy a GEM10 or GEM12 as well, but I'm so freak out about overheat problems, any advise or comment? thanks
@@domslv Hello, Not at all the Aoostar GEM 12 is running at 38 C in idle mode, it has two cooling fans and a vapor chamber, please you can watch my GEM 12 review or monitor the temperature in this very video, you can see CPU & GPU temperature in the game benchmark above the FPS data. Regards
Well done with the review and benchmarks. It is great and I am subscribing to your channel. I was a little bit confused by the display resolutions, which indeed showed 3340x1440p-check 16:42. Does this mean the resolution you mentioned as 3340p for the video is actually 1440p?
I just received it and I tested it with a 7800xt + Legion go, keep in mind that you need to use both USB ports. One for EGPU and one for charging, otherwise it won't work. I'm going to try with a 4080 super. When the power supply is disconnected it takes a while to cool down and you should wait a few minutes before turning it off.
@@rethBuddy Hi, i don t have this issue with my Mini PC, it s a shame that your legion go has only one single USB 4 port used as charging port, in this case 2 USB 4 port should be mandatory. I didn t get what is your issue with the PSU, are you refering to the AGO2 plex internal PSU? You still have the possibility to use an external PSU if you encounter an issue with the internal PSU which is something not normal, if that is the case you should contact Aoostar and ask for a refund
@@rethBuddy i am sorry to hear that, have you contacted Aoostar,? You must have received a faulty unit, you deserve to get a refund. I strongly suggest you to contact Aoostar support and ask for a refund or a replacement unit.

Some in accurate details in regards to max supported wattage in this review. The PSU's being shipped are sub 350watt max and not the 400 watt as advertised.
@@rinzl3rs349 350 Watt is mentionned in the video description text, the PSU was originaly advertised as a 400 Watt PSU, and a few days later on their website Aoostar Website updated the description to "350-400 Watt". Key point is that 350 or 400 Watt has no impact on the eGPU performances, Aoostar is mentionning that the recommended GPU are the RX 7700 XT, RTX 4070 and below (250 Watt GPU Manufacturer recommendation.)
Hi, could you clarify your question, please? In this video, the PCIE (8 pin) are used to power the Graphic card (GPU) FROM the eGPU Dock TO the Graphic card (GPU)
@@ATLhighLIFE Hi, no it won t, the TDP of an RTX 3090 is 350 Watt, the Aoostar AG02 was design for GPU TDP up to 270W. with a 350 Watt PSU You ll need to buy the Aoostar MG02 that has a built in PSU of 550 Watt but the MG02 doesn t have a Thunderbolt Port, it worls only with Oculink
Hi, Yes it will work but it is not recommended, the RTX 4080 is supposed to underperform if small power burst happen, the RTX 4080 Super Power draw is 320 Watt, but remember that RTX 4080 SUPER is powered by 3 X PCIE 8 pin cable and that a 400 Watt PSU has only 2 X PCIE 8 pin, it would work if your EGPU powered by the 24 pin cable is already feeding 2 out of 3 of the RTX 4080 SUPER PCIE 8 pin cable, the third and last PCIE 8 pin cable could be directly pulled from the PSU. In my Oculink friendly tutorial video i think i had used a 450 Watt PSU
Hi, by normal PSU you mean an ATX or SFX PSU? Such PSU would defeat the whole purpose of an eGPU dock, those are massive square box to fit in such small eGPU. To answer your question you don t need to replace the internal PSU, i would not recommand you to do so.
