Can you open it to see if its a standart power supply underneath?
Usb c out is must.....
Aren’t open docks bad for your gpu’s? Are there any thunderbolt 4 egpu docks that are enclosed?
theres no thunderbolt 4 egpu docks because the thunderbolt 4 controllers are a lot slower than thunderbolt 3 controllers
theres only 1 pcie 3.0 lane in tb4 controllers vs 4 pcie 3.0 lanes in tb3 controllers
@@johnpp21 so its better to get a thunderbolt 3 dock?
@@Vimblini yes
thats why you can only see TB3 in egpus,
for usb hubs/docks they mostly use TB4
😬
It's too bad, that Steam Deck doesn=t support USB4. It would be totally awesome.
Does this work with a regular laptop via usb
Will this work with a asus tuf 3080 ti?
Why adjust the VRAM??
So USB4 40Gbps or lower speed connection??
your Asrock 7700 XT is a top silicone die. Those results outperforms must of the 7700XT and you are not even overclocked it high
How is the fan noice of the psu in the dock?
Can the psu be upgraded? 🤔
And the dock+ 4060ti gpu is cheaper than onexgpu 2 and stronger
will it work with a steamdeck ?
Bro forgor to show the data transfer rate compared to the 3.0x4 lane
Why this device for 220 bucks if there is a miniforum for 100$ and you can buy a good proven power supply for 100$
Yeah it looks nice but the price needs a little help lol
I think because it has a built in psu and also dual oculink and thunderbolt compatibility , but yeah still pricey
Minisforums doesn’t include a PSU
@brandondegantevillasante538 He clearly said and buy a $100 PSU. Why would you want a cheap PSU included, for a higher price? Seriously curious, just for aesthetics?
😶
Built in 400w psu? So a 4060 wont work with a legion go or rog ally because it recommends 550W 😞. We need a deg2 with usb 4 and add a high W psu or a ag03 with a built in 900w psu so we can use any rtx 40 series graphic card . I guess the wait continues for a good egpu with all the right specs .
Bruh he said it can take upto 4070
@@ranjitmandal1612 can't exactly trust ETA prime when the rtx 4060 is requiring 550w. So go with the manufacturer of the graphics card or a TH-camr who hasn't tested it for a long time?
@@kdubspencer3390 the max power draw for a 4060 is 115w
@@kdubspencer3390 MSI 4060Ti gaming x 16G has a power comsumption of 165W with a recommended psu of 550W. The recommended part accounts for the entire pc power draw (mobo, cpu, gpu, ram, ssd, fans, periphericals, etc), the dock powers up only the graphics card, so 400W is plenty for a 4070, maybe a 4080.
😁😁😁👍👍👍
So this dock is just USB 4? I thought the input was Oculink?
