    Oh wow. This means sooo much to me. This is exactly what I want to do one day. I want to work AS a mechanic . I love Motorbikes. But I don't think anybody really believes that I can do it. This just reassured me that it is possible ;') . Thanks for the well produced documentary

      Hey Mike, I'm so glad you found this video inspirational. All that matters is YOU believe you can be a mechanic. Let the doubters doubt. You just do your thing and make it happen. Good luck with your mechanic journey.

    Thank you for this video, I'm a MMI graduate and I also am planning to open a shop in the future. I admire your drive and passion to your craft. I've gotten to an age where I hate working for other people. I feel like that if I'm helping others (like yourself) and not trying to get rich and being a pillar in my community then everything I've sacrificed was well worth it. God speed my friend

    I started a shop up in a small town. I run my shop the same way. Treat people the way you want to be treated and don't give the vehicle back unless I'd ride it. Unfortunately I live in a small town and have to work on all small motors. Including power equipment

    Just getting back into the industry as a tech. The enviornment and atmosphere at the shop makes a huge difference. That's been a bit of an issue in some of my previous experiences. When everyones on the same page it really smooths things out.

    If you think being a motorcycle mechanic is gonna make you rich and that,s why your getting in to it you might as well forget it man, the pay is lousy. But if you love it and want to do it then you can make enough to eat. I personally would never do anything else. You need a tough skin, people will say really cruel things to you.

      Bobber Life exactly I hope to have my own shop one day as well, but I start school next September for BMW and Suzuki and hopefully make it as a master tech for the European brands for a while going. to try and be a certified tech in most of the major brands so I can work on anything that comes in. Not sure how to go about that for triumph and ducati though

    • @greenbaydoud24
      @greenbaydoud24 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pulsar Tech I’m currently in school to be a motorcycle tech as well. I finish in May. I wanna open my own vintage shop. Building old school American Harley’s. Panheads, shovels, knuckles. Etc. It’s a great thing man, you’ll love it. I loved it and it went by real quick. But I can work on anything now. Not just bikes.

    • @pulsartech2945

      @@greenbaydoud24 change of plans maybe, im on the fence. I can possibly still make Air Force even with my bad knee. If I make that then I'd rather do the thing that makes more money and doesn't make me hate working on bikes everyday, cause I loved working on cars until i become the local neighborhood mechanic haha

    Hey man, I am about to replace the header pipes for MIVV headers that delete the cat and flap. I will keep the stock tail can. Stock air filter.
    The question is do you need to do a remap for this MOD?
    I see a few people fit the booster plugs, or throttle plug-in device to fuel up low rpm range.
    And some say there is no need because the brains of the bike will adjust to the correct fuel, air mix all on its own.
    Your thoughts on this, or your mechanical magicians expertise would be greatly appreciated so I can rest my mind and give my 2014 1200 GS Adventure the best result. Thanks. Love ya work.

    • @powergroove75
      @powergroove75 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saw nobody had answered this yet.... Yes.... If you're changing the exhaust from the headers back you'll want to get a fuel management system and a proper tune on a dyno. If you went with just a slip on muffler you wouldn't likely have to change the fuel map as you're not allowing that much more free air-flow. Getting it tuned properly will give you better performance, smoother throttle response, and potentially better fuel economy as well.

      First thing is a lot of studying and you must really Understand electricity and ohms law you will have more skills if you press into the electrical aspect what I am saying is you don't want to be a parts changer bikes and cars use DC circuits to do a lot on a bike and on a car I have been studying for ASE I would say the biggest part is study study study and then try and find every opportunity you can to build those skills of troubleshooting and that takes a good undestanding of modules electricy and how the ECM function or what you call the brainbox/computer GOOD Luck!!

    • @dylanjones678
      @dylanjones678 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wiring harnesses are easy all you need is a book or a diagram and, a multimeter to troubleshoot one. Don't let this guy have you over think it. My tip to you is, do the work right with detail, have the correct tools, don't rush it or the flaw will show later then guess what redo, rethink if you tightened the bolts down multiple times just to be safe, stay organized the whole time during the job I like to think it reflects on how in order the brain is at the given moment.

    I know this is an old video but if anyone knows how to contact Jeremy please let me know. About a year ago I took him my bike and after being back and forth for several months he stopped respond. It’s been since October since I’ve heard from him. I’m out $4000 and have no idea where Jeremy or my bike is. Which is sad because he had such a great reputation and yet scammed me.

      Danyelle Ellsworth I just looked up to see if this shop was still open, bummer this has happened to you. Here's his home address, Jeremy Thomas Wolf
      10053 Woodland Village Dr.
      Austin, TX 78750
      That's all I could dig up, hope this helps you get your bike back

    • @danyelleellsworth6376
      @danyelleellsworth6376 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      vetta17 that was an address we had originally dropped the bike off. We had gone back by after he went MIA and talked to the landlord. He told us Jeremy had left suddenly and left the house in a wreck. He allowed us to look around to see if we could find any of the manuals or other parts we had left him, but the house was deserted. Thank you for looking into it though! I know several other people had to have been affected by this because he had a lot of bikes. A shame, because he was talented in what he did.

    • @danyelleellsworth6376
      @danyelleellsworth6376 4 ปีที่แล้ว
