I have been a professional goldsmith and setter for over a decade. I can tell you, dude is full of it. Testers can tell, and an experienced jeweler can tell the difference.
And sth ppl should note. On Moh hardness scale diamond is 10 and moissanite is 9.5. But Moh "hardness" scale doesnt actually measure hardness but how scratch resistant it is. Only things that will scratch a moissanite is a sharp moissanite or a sharp diamond. Also moissanite is actually harder than diamond because moissanite does not have cleavage site when diamonds do. So if you hit diamond at the right angle it will crack in a line rather easily. Moissanite won't do that. So in a way gemstones that have no cleavage site, but with high Moh are arguably more durable than diamond such as rubies, sapphires, moissanite, alexandrite.
Wait. Something is off about what you said. Hardness is not toughness. Diamonds are harder but moissanite would be tougher. Resistance against breakage is toughness. Hardness is resistance against surface scratching. I am no expert but that is what I understand.

True, the white color on 999 silver looks extraordinary clean, just too bad about it’s softness. It wouldn’t be the safest bet setting gemstones like moissanites and diamonds within it’s prongs, much higher chance of them falling out over s925 and white gold
Hardness: Moissanite is pretty tough! On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness (which ranges from 1 to 10), moissanite clocks in at around 9.25. To put that into perspective:
You can tell by the diamond tester with natural diamonds it will get to the red bar (diamond) much faster then that of a moissanite but the moissanite will register as a diamond (just a little slow) because it is heat resistance as well just that diamonds resist to heat at a faster rate hince the bar going to red faster

The camera picks up refractions the same, in person moissanite looks like an absolute mess. They have a double refraction rate which doesn’t mean it sparkles 2x more! It means it’s 2x more blurry, the light refractions are 2x smaller than diamonds with the same exact cut, if you’re poor, don’t spend a few hundred on a chain that’s trying to mimic $50,000 jewelry. And the status behind it too, if you’re wearing a boujee ass piece and everyone around you finds out it’s made with 15 dollars in material 10/10 situations I’ve seen, you look like a loser. And if 80% are wearing moissanite, could you please list who is and isn’t? Don’t pull these numbers out of your ass to make the poor people feel better about their shit. ALSO, another fun fact because people like to say they’re the same, moissanite doesn’t reflect white light!!! That’s 80% of your sparkle right there! The double refraction also allows you to see straight through the moissanite, revealing all the dirt and tarnished metal underneath it that you can’t clean.

Everyone wearing diamonds absolutely can tell the difference of moissanite right away. Small carat size brilliant cuts, and I mean SMALL as in such tiny jewelry are the only time when noisy requires a careful glance to see it’s fire then it’s obvious it’s moissy anyway. Having experienced the loss of diamond studs and pendants I’ll be buying these only in moissy for everyday wear, because I’m not afraid to lose and part with lab gems vs natural. Leaving diamonds for rings, necklaces and bracelets + date nights and special occasions jewelry when I am being careful with my jewelry. etc that’s my jewelry philosophy.
I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s funny seeing all these so called professionals on TH-cam making their guesses off of first glance just to be proven wrong that it’s moissanite and not diamond. Lol 😂
Moissanite is easy to eyeball.. it reflects twice what a diamond does.. so between the two.. moissanite will be the one that blinds you with sparkle...

I bet the rappers, and others mentioned use this as "travel jewelry"... but tbh I think it looks just as nice. And am not sold on the value of a diamond 100 times over it.
That’s crazy that u say that I used to work with this guy at my job nd.he told me and my homie that REAL diamonds don’t dance frfr the knock off shine the most
That's the thing I don't like. Makes it easy to tell. Meanwhile Eddie is here saying jewelers need a microscope to tell the difference. Sure they do lol.
Yup I have some jewelry with those and they look pretty real. As long as the metal and everything else is decent quality you can pull it off. I just tell people it’s fake because I think that’s cooler than spending 20K on one piece.
Moissanites are real though. They're not diamonds. They actually outrank diamonds with brilliance, fire, and luster. Diamonds are slightly harder though.
I have worked with both. In the commercial setting most if not all commercial chain jewelery store diamonds are "grey or yellow". The only thing that to me looked remotely close ro a moissanite was lab created diamond.
Diamonds are one of the biggest monopoly scams in the world. They are much less rare and valuable than they would make you believe. Dubeers is the global conglomerate that runs the diamond trade. This alternative seems like a much better value for the money if you ask me. The only difference is 150 years of propaganda and marketing. Precious gems and rare earth stones are much more valuable than diamonds.
Judging someone's intellectual integrity because of their choice to wear a rubber band around their wrist? Yikes, sounds like it's your intellect that's in question here.
I can tell the difference. 😊 I was the only one working for GIA at that time, who could tell the difference between Moissanite and Diamonds by looking and I can still tell the difference. 😂
People can tell the difference with the naked eye and testers can tell the difference. No need to lie. Stop passing moissanite as a knock off diamond. Moissanite is It's own stone and looks great. No need to try and sell it as a fake diamond.
I always knew rappers were rocking Moissanite gems, that’s how rappers get got when they get some real money, they think they gotta impress the world with a bunch of real diamonds, and easily end up giving their cash in the hundreds of thousands to stores, everyone knows this around them, but won’t tell em. You gotta learn the hard expensive lesson. Welcome to show business kid, don’t worry about it! You’ll make it all back next week! That’s what they want you to think, but be smart.

Just don’t be one of those people flexing the opposite of what they actually have nobody can say your jewelry is fake if your not flexing something you don’t have just focus on the metals it’s 90% of the piece.
it’s a gemstone not a diamond. because it looks like a diamond and it’s lab made people put them on chains they are way more shinier and brighter than a real diamond so when you see a chain too sparkly just know it’s a moissanite and not a diamond just a gem. and it’s way cheaper than a diamond because it’s not a diamond. do not let jewelers fool you telling you it is a diamond they want to sell them. because if they were dismonds they would be expensive like one
You can ALWAYS tell the difference! Moissanite looks flawless. If you have flawless diamonds they would be set in at least 18k gold because of the value of flawlesss stones. The metal used, and clarity of the Moissanite is always in contrast making it easy to spot them.

Any good jeweler will know the difference between a diamond and a moissanite and if they don't they aren't real jewelers!🤦🏼♂️🤡
Fr hes blatantly lying and his blind fans think hes educating them🤦♂️
It really depends on the jeweler from what I've seen. In small towns people still don't know anything about it.
Literally it’s so
Easy to tell
@@Rev8 everyone in the comments is a high quality jeweler apparently
@Fermin R exactly don't nobody know.
Lol 😂
Have you seen baguette Moissanites? I'm wondering if they look more like diamonds than other cuts.
Moissanite is easy to eyeball.. it reflects twice what a diamond does.. so between the two.. moissanite will be the one that blinds you with sparkle...
Definitely! And the colors are different you can tell easily but I’ll choose a Moissanite any day it shines a lot harder 😉
. I finally got one and absolutely love it!!! Still a natural diamond lover thoe🥰🥰🥰
Now the whole HIP HOP community needs a sit down
Diamonds are branded not rare. One of the many aspects of reality that contribute to me being depressed
Flawless diamonds are rare
It was a mile stone in my life for me to get my first chain
Now saving up to it. Very good P is customize from you Eddy.
Naturals always the wave
Hey Eddie do me a favor you remember back in the day LL Cool J was wearing a necklace with a microphone on it can you please bring that size microphone pendant back with moissanite stones and the song He Warden was called Paradise matter fact I think the album cover shows him wearing the necklace with the microphone pendant on it I can't find nobody else that will make that same size pendant that LL Cool J was wearing with moissanite stone
I bet the rappers, and others mentioned use this as "travel jewelry"... but tbh I think it looks just as nice. And am not sold on the value of a diamond 100 times over it.
The main difference is it a synthetic man-made stone? It is not a actual synthetic diamond.
That’s crazy that u say that I used to work with this guy at my job nd.he told me and my homie that REAL diamonds don’t dance frfr the knock off shine the most
Just got our first moissanite clasp cuban from you already shipping now, Excited because it’s my third order already😅🎉❤
They hit like that
Moseanite also looks like your wearing a rainbow 🌈
That's the thing I don't like. Makes it easy to tell. Meanwhile Eddie is here saying jewelers need a microscope to tell the difference. Sure they do lol.
Also the extra fire is a give away. And lack of bow ties, if you look close
Your video s are always intresting im blessing always create interesting videos im your big fan man always...❤
Diamonds are slightly harder though.
the only precious material worth investing in is Gold
All precious metals are worth investing in .
@@angelvalle6515 Gold is the best
I have worked with both. In the commercial setting most if not all commercial chain jewelery store diamonds are "grey or yellow". The only thing that to me looked remotely close ro a moissanite was lab created diamond.
Moissanite breaks more often than diamonds when I’m setting. Idk if 9 is accurate
I had a feeling YEARS ago these rappers bling bling wasn’t genuine diamonds. I’m glad my intuition was spot on.😁✅
I’m still wearing a rubber band around my wrist like I did in high school. Yes, I’m still that guy that wears the rubber band around
My wrist! 🤦♂️
I hope I don’t turn out like you after high school 🙏🙏
Judging someone's intellectual integrity because of their choice to wear a rubber band around their wrist? Yikes, sounds like it's your intellect that's in question here.
🤔 so it still hold the same value as a diamond??
Is my only question DONT THINK SO
I can tell the difference. 😊
I was the only one working for GIA at that time, who could tell the difference between Moissanite and Diamonds by looking and I can still tell the difference. 😂
The quality of moissanites has improved with technology and attention to the cut. The colour has improved tremendously over the last 25 years.
Good job on this
People can tell the difference with the naked eye and testers can tell the difference. No need to lie. Stop passing moissanite as a knock off diamond. Moissanite is It's own stone and looks great. No need to try and sell it as a fake diamond.
Top one is moissanite. Funny thing is, so is the bottom!
All the rappers thought they had us fooled 😂😂😂😂😂 lost respect for like half of em 😂😂😂
I can tell they have a green ish hue to them.
You are correct, moissanite reflect more blue green on a rainbow scale than diamonds.
Natural fires white (very little rainbow)
Moissanite fires rainbow
Very obvious, i can tell very very easy by my naked eyes! 😅
The only reason people care about Moissanite is because of Diamonds. Not the other way around.
Moissanite only becomes fake ! When the ppl that purchase it acts like it is diamonds and doesn’t state that it is moissanite .
“Second to none only to real diamond” I don’t think that phrase means what you think it’s means
I was thinking the same thing lol correct phrasing would be second only to real diamonds
Ah look at u 2 guys getting along at the end of the day lol😂
Why don’t you make all gold rings or bracelets with moissanite stones why is all of it just plated on your site
We sell lot of gold
Any real jeweler can tell the difference with a decent loupe. Don’t even need a microscope
Yes I bought a Cuban chain Jesus piece king tut charm and watch from yall and when I step out people think I'm a rapper or a heavy dope dealer.😂
Y’all do grills?
Bottom chain traxnyc is holding is moissanite. Still looks great
I could tell immediately. Moissanite refracts the light in way that produces more colour. I kinda dig it, its like a multicolour diamond
If you get a normal diamond tester it will 100 percent tell the difference
Harlembling looking 6'8" in this shot!
So how much would it be for a costume 5 letter peice
I wanna know if the moissanite is the bottom because it sparkles more
Moissanite is a diamond simulant made of silicon carbide. A diamond simulant is a stone that has a similar appearance to a diamond but is not a real diamond. It is very difficult to tell apart a diamond & moissanite, making moissanite a common diamond alternative.
just saying there are simple hand held diamond testers that will give a reading that is specific between cubic z moisanight and diamonds
True but funny thing is a lot of them still test moissanite as diamond.
@@luis4210 yeah u gotta look at what it's designed to do if it's just a diamond tester it probably won't catch it but alot of the newer ones are designed to test for the difference and on the side of the tester next to the light rail it will say moissanite below diamond and if it doesn't it probably won't catch
Id chose moissanite over diamonds anyday!! My 2 caret solitaire princess cut, chipped .. my jewelry said princess cuts will do that if accidentally hit on granite ect... ugh
I think I might get a Moissanite ring for my wife honestly diamonds arnt worth the extra money
Remember when debeers programmed women to think that stones wrapped in metal is something they have to have in order to be loved or feel pretty. My wife is still wearing the 100 dollar ring I gave her 18 years ago because she knows diamonds are only for commercial purposes.
BEAUTIFUL CHAIN DYMOND EXCELLENT MODEL FANTASTIC DESIGN WONDERFUL SHOP
Miossonatte has MORE sparkle so easy to see in a side by side.
11:01pm learning more and more which will benifits all those who surround me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤never knew this before thanks for this ideas 💡 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I Need to Check my Chains 🤣🤣🤣
Imma say this if you don’t got it for real diamonds get moissanite with real gold or silver the metal is what matters the most anyways. Plus I get more compliments on my moissanite pieces then my real diamond pieces. Just don’t be one of those people flexing the opposite of what they actually have nobody can say your jewelry is fake if your not flexing something you don’t have just focus on the metals it’s 90% of the piece.
The colors of moissanite fire is more purple pink
it’s a gemstone not a diamond.
because it looks like a diamond
and it’s lab made people put them on chains
they are way more shinier and brighter than a real diamond so when you see a chain too sparkly just know it’s a moissanite and not a diamond just a gem. and it’s way cheaper than a diamond because it’s not a diamond. do not let jewelers fool you telling you it is a diamond they want to sell them. because if they were dismonds they would be expensive like one
Maybe the forever one mossionates the other types look a lot different than a real diamond
Wearing moissanite diamonds is like wearing fake Jordan’s that look real.
No it isn’t lmao it’s its own real stone.
You can ALWAYS tell the difference! Moissanite looks flawless. If you have flawless diamonds they would be set in at least 18k gold because of the value of flawlesss stones. The metal used, and clarity of the Moissanite is always in contrast making it easy to spot them.
I hope i could see the bracelets more clearly IF HE HAD NOT PUT THE SUBTITLES IN THE CENTRE.
it still glittery to my eyes.. 😌😌
So why does it cost 100 times less?
“Moissanite is never right!”
- 🐐
Moissanite is the best and i prefer it over diamonds
