yes! Been saying this for years, Plunge Audio is absolutely incredible.
Saw everything, thank you for the shoutout in the end!!! Caught me off guard but brought a smile on my face. Lovely review, you truly went over everything, Simon is a genius! I'm glad more people are finding out about Plunge, Truly ear bliss :)
Thanks to you for bringing this to our attention, Simon going to skyrocket with his releases!
Thanks so much for your awesome review!
Thank you for the thank you!🙏
Mindblown!! Hopefully they will sell truckloads and maybe be able to lower the price to a more consumer friendly level. Buying from Europe will include customs fee and taxes. Thanx for the review!
This one is more for Musicians and people looking for a true monitor like IEM, more models , colors coming with Audiophile tuning 1+4 ....ect and yeah hopefully price drops
Excellent and informative impressions! I have ordered mine 2 weeks ago and they should arrive next week in Switzerland. Simon is indeed a nice individual to deal with. Hyped!
Good choice! NICE hope to heard back from you on your thoughts!
Awesome review as always! Can't wait for the trickle down effect with Plunge Audio!!!
You and me both! Simon is a amazing guy and tuner.
Very enlightening video Tone Deaf 👍🏽
You nailed it.
Great detailed review!
Wonderful video, very enjoyable to listen to. I have never heard of this brand till you mentioned it. The design looked like something from the Stonehenge. Hope to demo it one day.
It sounds unique and amazing
Forgot to mention earlier that I prefer MMCX, too and am surprised they get so much hate. They're very secure, robust, rotate to help get just the right angle, and you don't have to worry about the sockets getting loose over time which I've had happen with a few 2-pin IEM.
100% The cheap ChiFi brands use the cheap version and killed the love
The reason people hate mmcx is because they can be easily fucked up by manufacturers. & many have faced fucked up mmcx. I've had fiio mmcx fail miserably. But my 7hz timeless is still going sting despite using almost everyday since it launched. But on other hand my legato 2pin failed (too tight & right iem is way too low in vol) so there's that. So basically both 2pin & mmcx are shit qdc is best (especially water can't get in from any angle) i had cca & the qdc there was flawless. The only connection type that I had no prob with.
It may not be AS MUCH of a chameleon as the Unity, but the original 7Hz Timeless made me realize and enlighten about every single aspect you have mentioned about our experience with IEMs. Most of them were good revelations, while the only caveat is its fat and short nozzle. Now I am of the opinion - without any sort of judgement whatsoever - that anyone who says that tips, sources and cables only change the sound a little is probably deaf.
100% Of ypu need proof the Unity is it. Every thing changed not by a small amount but huge. This kinda cemented my reservation to keep mentioning sources and tips and cables and take the heat from the haters.
Great comments. You are an enlightened soul!
Monk There is this famous audiophile in france with one the the best documented hifi auditoriums in the world based on massive multiway horns millions to build. When people hear it for the first time their not sure they like it as it sounds so foreign to them not at all what they were expecting because the system is so totally uncolored, so low in distortion so phase coherent they have never experienced anything like it. Sounds like the this iem your describing.
Very much it takes a while to wrap your head around what you are hearing.
My wife is going to woop my ass…. And it is the Monks fault!! 😂
Sorry not Sorry LOL love it Thanks!
You are not alone
3:30 - You forgot about Jim Carrey and Nantuk vs. flying hockey pucks.
Regarding the nozzle angle, I think it probably explains why Blon 03 sounds better for me when I use it with ear hooks rather than cables straight down. On the flip side, etymotic sounds weird with ear hooks. Yeah, I know it's almost impossible to use Etys capsules other than straight down, but I did it when trying to alleviate the microphonics from their cables.
Having Etymotics ER4XR on my Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ results in such extreme lows I have to get them out of my ear (in panic) to confirm there is not an earthquake or bombing going on (in rural Netherlands ;-)). Bizar how low a BA can go, physically feeling the floor/room shake in by (in my case) just a single unit. It's great for monitoring and very impressive, but it won't make you dance to the music persé. Bit of BA timbre too; old school already?
Wait till you try the ones with one or more DD the whole shell vibrates
I'm saving up for Final Audio A8000 (true Berry 😂 driver), but i wonder if the new tech and know how put in here will surpass it. Great story about blown minds. 😅
Ever had the opportunity to listen to the A8000 Japanese flagship?
@JRVick I have not heard that one but have lots of great things about it.
The hype train is leaving Sanity City. CHOO CHOO🚂
It's should nothing like it
Closed on one today. Now the wait. Great reviews, man. much enjoyed.
Hey TDM, is the Penon Fan 2 still in your rotation? Also, what would your ranking be for this from F Tier to S+ Tier. Thanks!
Yes, it is won't sell my fan2 , And the Unity is top tier for monitoring and stage, new ones are supreme level for music
Hey TDM, I’ve pretty much quit buying the cheep shit as well as mid-fi too. Saving to Plunge. Your review and Michael Bruce’s rec sold me. Cheers my Canadian friend, from a friendly part of the SE US and A (Borat 😂).
Wait for the Beast I heard it yesterday when I met Simon. It's the Unity with a added open back 9mm sub and a more musical tuning. What a treat this is the one to save for. Will be Endgame for many.
@@tonedeafmonk Can't wait for your review of it.
Great review. Is there any link to your squiglink?

@@tonedeafmonk thanks. Great channel.
Just received mine a few days ago.
Seems like they are now selling it with a different cable than they did previously... A copper cable rather than silver plated copper.
It would be good to know the reason for the change and sonic changes as a result
That IEM is so crazy transparent it's like changing the tuning by cable swapping.
I have said that for cable non believers try the Plungies...it will make you a believer.
I loved the IvipQ 253 cable pure silver / Palladium cable
@@tonedeafmonk thanks for the recommendation
Can you compare it to other similarly priced iems?
How does this compare to the Etymotic ER2SE/ER4SR.
Interesting parallel that etymotic's background is also in audiology and hearing health products
I guess I'll find out soon enough, as I've placed my order
@@reflection1119 Have fun
Unity or shure se846 in terms of bass ,sound stage and separation ?
Haven't heard the Shure but Kyle in our group thinks the Plungies are on a different level.
@@tonedeafmonk thanks for the answer.. but what group ? Do you have facebook group or something ?
