If you use the rollers on inclined tracks, and use the third roller mode then it makes a cool smooth slope for the track

It amazes me how good create is, it's higher quality than the game it's modding at this point

Fundamentally, Mojang has made it very clear they want MC to be a kind of blank canvas sandbox game. Adding a huge technical subsystem based on automation would skew the flavor of the game too much in one direction. I think it's much better to have vanilla MC be kinda "bland" and instead have the option to add mods that cater to your specific playstyle. People are already complaining how new versions of the game "don't feel like Minecraft anymore". As much as I love Create, if the base game started emulating it that problem would only be exacerbated.
@@etherealg3940 they say this but dont support mods well at all on Bedrock versions, so i guess they get vanilla and thats it lol
@Danil you misread it the same way I did. What the person is saying is that the mod is higher quality than the game in which it is modding, they are not just stating that create is a mod
You can actually hook up the elevator to the number lightbulb block which indicates what floor the elevator is on : )

clip boards can be used to copy settings from one create block to multiple, it can be used as a book in the sense that it can tell you what is needed for a schmatic but you can mark off what you have without going to the schmatic cannon to mark them, also, you can place down clipboards
so it can also give info about automated farms
Actually they changed how you would sometimes fall through contraptions when moving vertically, didnt test yet but should make it happen rarely now

I don't see anyone mad about shalz...
I absolutely feel the elevator pains, Shalz, made an elevator with 3 stops that goes to near bedrock. Had to run redstone links that connect to redstone links because the bottom set of redstone links were out of range of the top where I started. It stopped on 3 floors & if there wasn't a block beneath the elevator, you'd fall through.
Still waiting on updating to 0.5.1 because addons that I use for Create haven't updated yet.
i am in love with the elevator pulleys, now i don't have to pain myself to understand complicated Create contraptions to make a working elevator with rope pulleys
2 things I want you to do:
- use the clipboard instead of the book in the schematic table thingy
- right click the small or the large water wheel with planks of your choosing

That Elevator Pulley is honestly amazing. I made a 12-floor elevator in the Create: Above & Beyond modpack and while it worked, it was incredibly buggy at first and I had to dedicate a large cave to redstone, plus a bunch of Redstone links, plus adapting the limits so that the Pulley itself could drop down enough. And of course I made the classic mistake of believing a single-block-thick floor would be enough before I fell to my doom when I tried to use the elevator ^^')
I also couldn't begin to imagine how to integrate multiple floor indicators on the various levels, at least based on the redstone I had already setup. But I believe this will be alleviated once I get that latest version. Thank you, Shalz, for the spotlight =)

Hey shalz, heads up, you can place the clipboards as blocks, and it works as an editable sign. Also, it is better than using a book in a schematic cannon
clipboards can be used to copy and paste the settings/actions for pretty much everything for example shoots and windmill bearings. you can also use them to put text on display boards. theyre also an objectively better book for schematic cannons since they tick off all the items you already have easily and you can bring it around with you.
Shalz! You should TOTALLY build a roller coaster with elevators
you can also now access inventories on an assembled train, minecart contraption and anything on a bearing
what you should do is get a bell for when the elevator arrives, like the noteblock

Using Nixie tubes with the elevator, and a display interface shows the current floor.
4:09 you can use this for rocket launches and scenes where your camera goes up really fast
The clipboard also is to copy and pastes configurations between blocks, better for schematic lists and also for display text on display boards

Not sure if you found this out later, but clipboards do have some other uses. Firstly, you can use them instead of nametags for text displays. And, if that wasn't enough for you, you can use them to copy/paste settings of blocks. Say you need a munch of funnels to spit out exactly 18 cobble? Now you just need to set one up with that, then clipboard copy/paste those settings onto the others.
Someone please make a compilation of shalz getting excited.
For a suggestion when you make ep. 5 can you make a auto ore farm?
Edit: with each farm on a different level and you get down with the elevator

Used to use Clip Boards in Attack of The B-Team, I loved them!
You could always use redstone to detect when the elevator cab is in motion and disable the call button. Would just be a couple gates per floor and one and gate
that path making thing will allow all of us to make train paths with things like gravel under it sooo much easier

Set the rollers up to be making a bridge but set it to pillar or slope mode (it's hard to put into words)
Even if you only fill a roller with full blocks if their's a slab variant it'll place slabs to build a smother slope
The clipboard is the best thing ever, I always have to make todo lists in games like this 'cause I forget wtf I was doing after not playing for 4 weeks.
Late to the party, but watching this mod development reminded me of Thai craft from yee olden times. Imagine with the rumored Vera 7 having compatibility with Create, would be nuts!

this reminds me of a train mod called immersive railroading mod and i think you would like it since if you use the mod in 1.12.2 you can find resource packs that add more trains and the controls are one your number pad 8 is throttle up, 5 is neutral, 2 is throttle down/backwards, 7 is brakes on, and 4 and 1 are brake down/off but that is for steam engines the diesels are basically the same but you use the + on your number pad to start the engine ( i may be wrong though). For me i got the mod on curseforge in the mod section and the image is a steam engine/an a3 peppercorn class.

I'm gonna get the Friends & Foes mod with this later.. Set a Copper Golem on an elevator, the next floor down would be all the explosives in the world with a copper button... Or maybe for a Wither chamber where you need to get rid of it for some reason, let Copper Freeman take the elevator down and you wait on the upper side with your crossbows as secondary defense

Oh I've been waiting for this forever.
You could add bell like the chime when the elevator arrives
now in the new update, you can open the chests without the help of the item interface in the motorized machines, e.g. train, windmill, etc.!
You can r-click with a wooden plank (OF EVERY TYPE POSSIBLE (even modded ones)) on every type of waterweel to change its wood type!
I think i will have to play some modpack with this, I knew about create mod, but never played it, but this is very cool, kinda want to play it now, do you know any cool tech modpacks with this mod and update?

Wow i am both amazed and sad that the new elevator block just fixed my elevator problems i was having with trying to use it after it hits the bottom to go back up. And now the redstone i used is worthless since the new block just fixed all my problems
what forge and minecraft versions are u using?? 'cause I can't figure out how to make everything works
i got an amazing idea with the elevator the contact will do a redstone signal and it will turn on a 2x2 piston [or create] door as soon as u reach the destination
I feel like the mechanical roller is a bit cheaty, given it not only replaces blocks underneath the tracks, but literally builds _mountains_ below elevated tracks. Not to mention, it’s ability to destroy blocks in front of the train is already fulfilled by the drill block. Also you’d think it’d be used to roll out metal sheets with a name like that.
i kind of wish you could make custom vehicle/cars similar to the trains but you could actually steer them and drive like your in an RV or something

Idea: You can set the maximum speed for kinetic components in the config, set it very high, supply the elevator pulley with that high speed, then make a floor at level 320 and one at -64. I'm guessing it will go *very* fast.
