Just another anc and eff racist party, we want competent leaders not racists, your choice, if your racist then stay with south africa while the future of families burns and the entrepreneurs and money leaves for better places with less racist leaders, your choice

We don't need Cape independence we need leveling up economically of the playing fields eg basic service delivery job opportunities education etc....here .

@@mogamatyusufmartin9171 we need the ANC to lose the next election and every election after that. We need each province to govern itself as much as it can. Then we can have the things you said; basic service delivery, education, employment.

@@mogamatyusufmartin9171 I used to think Cape Independence was a good idea but now I don't. Countries should stay united. I listened to a speech by the Kenyan U.N. Ambassador Martin Kimani, in reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and it really resonated with me.
      He said
”This situation echoes our history. Kenya and almost every African country was birthed by the ending of empire. Our borders were not of our own drawing. They were drawn in the distant colonial metropoles of London, Paris and Lisbon, with no regard for the ancient nations that they cleaved apart.
Today, across the border of every single African country, live our countrymen with whom we share deep historical, cultural and linguistic bonds.
At independence, had we chosen to pursue states on the basis of ethnic, racial or religious homogeneity, we would still be waging bloody wars these many decades later.
Instead, we agreed that we would settle for the borders that we inherited, but we would still pursue continental political, economic and legal integration. Rather than form nations that looked ever backward into history with a dangerous nostalgia, we chose to look forward to a greatness none of our many nations and peoples had ever known.

Hi Mr Fadiel Adams I am a white male who has grown up and lived his whole life in Cape Town from a middle class background in the Southern Suburbs you have hit it on the nail it's ironic that the coloured community are the largest community in Cape and largely support the governing party I love our beutifull city with a passion in my younger days I often went into places the phrase I would use where angels fear to tread Mannenburg Bontihuvel Hanover Park Lavender Hill reason being in those days I was addicted to Mandrax the devil had my soul I then used to go back home to to Lakeside where I used to live and think to myself hell man we live in paradise how to the Coloured people in these communities manage to survive they live in dire poverty with nothing the gangsters run the entire movement of alcohol and drugs even the police came to get their share of the pie so to speak I am glad to say that after 30. Years I managed through my own self determination to get over my addiction and alcohol abuse I am now 70 years old but absolutely nothing has changed within the Cape Flats region the many coloured communities still little or no amenities the gangsters still exist and the drug problem is even worse I'm glad the coloured people have someone like you building support for them not only in the Cape but Nation wide im sure that you will gain members especially in Cape Town as the majority of people that live in Cape Town are coloured oh just one thing before I sign off please don't side with the so called Cape Indipendance movement its led by a Brit with some rich people backing him on their own agenda i personally think its a ludicrous and dangerous ideology to separate Cape Town from the rest of South Africa stay where your hart lies and muster support for your people for the upcoming election

im kind of confused bc im from America when he says colored is the referring to mixed people or just black people in general bc where im from when someone describes a group as colored its referring to black people but for some reason im under the impression that colored does not mean dark skinned black people i remember hearing that somewhere but i cant remember

    • @TheLanceGTA

Correct. Rhe apartheid system seperated us by color. We have brown people aka colord, then black and white and indian.
After apartheid rule we were classified a rainbow nation and the government of today labeled colord people as black. But the opportunities were inly given to black people by skin color, not colords. Therefore today, there are parties who focus solely on colord plights bwcause rhe government has totally forgotten and systematically worked out the brown people.

Coloureds are a Creole ethnic group from South Africa.

It’s Malato or mixed race. In 1652 when whites arrived in the Cape of Good Hope some got jungle fever with the natives who had bastard children that became an entire demographic in South Africa but primarily in the Western Cape province. Today ‘coloureds’ as they as they are known usually have two coloured parents but that was the genesis of where they come from.
My experiences with them have been a mixed bag. They’re generally jovial decent people but when idle and unemployment have a propensity for gangsterism and violence. They share the Afrikaans language with the Boer white Afrikaaner locals.

Don't know where you got your info from
Colored people are the san and khoi people who lived in the cape since before the dutch arrived in the cape . They are an indegenous race group from South Africa.. they are not black or white

Coloured people are of mixed race but it differs from other mixed race people in the sense that there has to be Khoi-San in the mix. For example, Trevor Noah is mixed race but not Coloured.
