  • The coloured community arguably remains marginalised and largely excluded from mainstream economic, political and social participation.
So tonight we ask the question, why is this still the case almost 30 years into democracy? Joining Thabo Mdluli is the President of the Cape Coloured Congress Fadiel Adams.

I've always said education (with the necessary support) is the only thing that will change the situation for the poc.

Societal issues need society to play their part...start businesses, keep the family together and ensure education

I'm voting for this party. No matter how long it takes. The people of the current government. Is so messed up. I quote TUPAC SKUKAR. even if we have a black president, nothing will change. It's like that in America and South Africa. We lack opportunities in our communities. When we do want to make a change for our future, the current system fails us every time. The change will come. Maybe not in my time, but it will. 30 years into democracy. And only ever was their a black person in the presidency. This is not about color. It's about inequality. We had coloured people who also suffered.❤

Very well said 👏🏼👏🏼 don’t even get me started on being a coloured person trying to get NSFAS 😭😭 we “earn enough” to not be funded but earn too little to survive. Most of the time this is also the reason why coloured kids end up trying to be successful in life in other ways rather than go to university (if this is what they dream of). Other ways that will take more time and harder work.

Truth must be told, the reasons why Coloureds are so excluded in all sectors in all level of society in South Africa...Is in the Fine Print of History, The SA history does not recognise Kleurlinge or Coloureds as Settlers , who migrated from somewhere and Settled on land in South Africa....

We coloureds must firstly start with our history ; by so doing we will be capable to stand together. The government will still suply weapons to gangsters. We coloureds must stand up and support each other.

We should all support one another in Cape town, because we are mainly a mixed race. White and khoi mainly. I dont care what anyone has to say about this but it is true!!!!!
