What a load of nonsense - why not just go with mixed race?

Let us use our Afrikaans word Baster because that is what we are.Not bastard as in English but baster in Afrikaans means mixed.Nobody will deny it even Tony Ehrenreich with his German surname and many other coloured people from German Irish Dutch Khoisan and Malay and Xhosa and Zulu forbears

white and black are also apartheid social constructs... coloured is derogetory ...but we've already embraced this term and we've created a culture out of it....I feel like we've been put on the stand too often to justify our existence. Coloureds has been singled out and ear marked for undercover systematic apartheid oppression. I therefore stand in solidarity with majority of coloureds calling themselves coloured.

I get his argument. by all means those who are not comfortable can remain Coloureds, and such a position is prevalent with all other tribes; where individuals do not subscribe to the cultural and heritage traditions.

What about the Indians are were they not a part of the apartheid struggle. Indians are going through just such a raw deal check the stats in phoenix and chats worth and all other areas as well . We are all in the same boat when it comes to dealing with reverse racism. So mention the Indians as well . Do not forget who forerunners of the ANC WAS THE TIC AND THE NIC.

was zuma loyal to the anc , was trevor le kota was julius malema nope. they all formed their own parties. Coloureds did not even form any party and a big number still vote anc. the DA ones are despised by those who were in the struggle as they see them as aparthied apologist . This is nt just coloureds blacks have opted out of anc corruption and no one shld blame them , bt you particularly fixated on coloureds for being so called not loyal.

I wish S A would stop the nonsense about black and colored. The name may change but as far as I know just about every country in the world people of African ancestry are the same, regardless of their complexion. United we stand divided we fall!!
