Hi many people don’t know about cotton wash clause that that hundred percent cotton it’s really good for your skin not just for dish cloths but for washing your face and if you use the nubbed cloth like you’re making it exfoliates your skin and many people it’s a natural exfoliants if you finish if you can find silk yarn it’s very hard to find pure silk yard but if you can find it if you finish after you exfoliated with your cotton cloth you use a silk I sometimes just use a piece of silk fabric to finish drying and rubbing your face it gives you a very pristine skin so giving gifted washcloth of cotton and silk to someone with probably some verySerious bar of soap or some liquid soap is really a lovely gift because it’s hard to find the kind of washcloths that can be made by hand by crochet happy crochet
I’ve watched dozens of crocheting videos these past few years. Yours is the best. Professional everything. Even the perfect manicure. I look forward to spending time in more of your presentations.
I love this stitch! I have 1 1/2 skeins of 24/7 cotton, perfect for 3 wash cloths. One of my favorite things growing up in Southern California was receiving boxes from my grandma in Vermont. She would crochet the funnest colored wash cloths, afghans, and couch arm covers. I love that she passed the love of crochet down to me and I can pass it on to my grandchildren. 💜 Thank you for the blocking tutorial. I just ordered my blocking mats and pins. Yay!
What a brilliant tutorial! I feel like this video really can be used by anyone from an experience crocheter to someone who's only just learnt the basics. Thank you for such a well explained and friendly tutorial!
I really like that she breaks down the starting chain (multiple of 3) so it’s easy to scale up or down. I’m with you- this would make a great hand towel or tea towel!
Probably way late to this but thought I’d add that I agree, Toni your instructions are terrific. As an almost absolute beginner, I had to do a lot of pulling out and re-crocheting. It’s the old “lost concentration “ problem. So I’d end up putting just two or 4 SCs in somewhere instead of three, then a row later .. bam .. the count is all out. It’s the fault of me as a beginner, and I hope this gives someone some solace if they’re finding the same issue. I still have 3 lovely cloths and will make more. Look for to doing more patterns from this channel too. Cheers!
I am doing what I always do before learning a new craft, watching all of the youtube videos on that subject that I can. Thank you for showing the blocking!
Thank you! As a beginner, I've been struggling--and you're a great teacher! Thank you for the clear and closeup camera angles of the stitches, too. I have so much of this cotton in my stash and I'd love to give these with soaps for gifts during the holidays. Much appreciated tutorial!
Couldn't sleep, so I was scrolling thru YT. I came across this pattern and had to try it. Now I want to stay up and crochet washcloths! Thank you so much for sharing! Such a pretty pattern!
I LOVE this pattern and these colors! Thank you so much for taking the time to really Teach us how to do this. You're the best teacher I've seen. I just went to your web site, signed up for your newsletter, and purchased my first pattern from you. I got the Astrid Ruana sweater pattern, and it looks gorgeous! I'm making it for my sister-in-law who is in the hospital with what they are calling covid pneumonia. I hope this helps lift her spirits. Thank you Toni!
A few years agoI made about 15 random wash cloths for my bathroom and I recently decided that I want to make a set that was uniform in size and stitch. I think this is what I have been looking for!!!! Thank you!!!
I never leave comments but Toni, your tutorials are the best!! You taught me how to crochet!! I love the stitch in this washcloth so much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for being a fabulous teacher!
What a lovely stitch! I definitely cannot wait to try this one! I am so loving your nail color, it looks beautiful on you! Thanks again for this great tutorial!
I crocheted before knitting and I find knitting way harder! Not necessarily the basic knitting and pearling (although initially it was so weird, probably due to two needles vs one hook) but tension wise especially. Don’t get me started on trying to fix mistakes. A lot forgiveness with crocheting there lol. But I keep trying to get better. 😊
Tony thank you for sharing this pattern. This was the easiest pattern for a great washcloth I have ever tried to crochet. I am a beginner and this pattern even helped me with my tension. You are an awesome instructor!❤️
Thank you so much Toni. I have been crocheting for years but only use one stitch due to being unable to read patterns. I tried this today and you made it so easy to follow. I am making some washcloths for my kitchen now. I appreciate your videos.
@@kathywinter7793 it's a free series about learning to crochet that Toni has on her blog + TH-cam. She has tutorials, videos, and a crochet along with for new patterns that starts next week. Check her blog for more info!
Thank you!!! This is the second crochet project I've ever done. Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow and I love the pattern. I'm going to gift it to my sister or my mom this Christmas 💙
Love this pattern and Omg so easy I can do it on vacay and not work hard, score!!! And thanks for adding the free written pattern that so many of us need to help us learn ❤❤❤
I like your channel, Toni.. ☺️. You’re so easy to understand and are relaxing to listen to ! This really makes a beautiful washcloth .. that’s what I’m into right now because I’ve gotten a bit tired of making throws. I’m so glad to have come across this pattern. Be blessed ! xoxo
Thank you for the idea and I have a friend that needs washcloths like I did and I'll be making some of that powder and different colors too. God bless you and have a great day
I joined the Crochet Academy to brush up on some basics and this tutorial is great! I love the fabric this pattern creates and am currently working on my 4th cloth!
I just discovered you and your videos. Where have you been all my life! Your tutorials are amazingly detailed and very easy to follow. Your presentation is smooth. Camera work is awesome. Love you!
Suuuper easy to follow, very clear! I use thin jute twine and make dishcloths using this pattern. Previously I just single crocheted them but this makes them look much prettier! (I chuck them in the compost after they're used up).
That was such a fun project to do, and easy too! Thank you so much for sharing this. I absolutely loved it. Now I can make more!! Doesn’t take a lot of time to do this. Love projects like this🥰
This is such a great stitch too! Love this project and I’m kinda addicted to making dishcloths now since watching your awesome video tutorials!! Thank you for making all your videos, they are always so well done, easy to understand and follow along. I really have learned so much from watching them.✨💖✨
Hi Tony I have been so busy but I find myself all ways coming to what you are doing. I look through what I may have up pulled up and if I find that you are making something similar I have to drop what I was looking at and come to your video. I really want to crochet tonight but I am so tired from cooking. Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone be safe and take care. Enjoy your families.
I love this design! It’s super easy to memorize and looks so elegant. Already finished my first one from the 24/7 cotton, working on a second version from Lion Brand Coboo (cotton/bamboo blend, so soft!). Thank you Toni!
My local Joann’s has this for $4.19 a skein so less than $2 a washcloth. I can get some REALLY fancy soap and still be under $10 per gift. Plus it works up quick so looks like my family is getting washcloths and a nice soap/bath bomb for Christmas. Great pattern and so excited to learn a new stitch!
Oh, I love these washcloths! Thank you for the beautiful pattern and great tutorial- I’m definitely a newbie at crochet, but I’m so excited to try these out!

I really like the stitch pattern and secretly want to make a towel rather than a washcloth🙃😆☺️
I really like that she breaks down the starting chain (multiple of 3) so it’s easy to scale up or down. I’m with you- this would make a great hand towel or tea towel!
DO IT!! I know this is two yrs old and you probably already did but…
