Excellent tutorial! Especially showing exactly where to put the stitch markers. A lot of times someone will say put a stitch marker at the end of the row, but I was never sure exactly what stitch to put it in. You’ve made it very clear.
first and only crocheted project i have finished and loved. it was so much easier than any other i’ve ever attempted. and ive tried MANY.. none ive finished but this. i always got bored and quit or couldn’t figure out what i was doing wrong. i made a really pretty light peach one and it looks so pretty in my kitchen. its not perfect, but im making more as christmas gifts. thank you for this video and the time you spent.
Thank you for this pattern and your easy and wonderful instructions. I haven’t crocheted in many years but you made it easy to get back to what I enjoy doing. God bless you for sharing.
I love this stitch! I started an afghan for my bed, but have put it aside to stick with small projects! This is so pretty! You are a wonderful tutor...thanks! 🌺🌹😊
I’m so happy I found you. You and another lady on TH-cam are the best! I used to crochet years ago and I’m in my 60’s and recently started back. I had forgotten a lot of things and there so many people on here. All are different and some a little confusing but your not so thank you❤❤🧶🧶🧶🧶
I was looking for a different dish cloth pattern when I found this one. I skipped ahead to see how you were giving instructions and I was really impressed. I think I will use it. Thank you.
I like how you explained each stitch. But when you say to put in first stitch and last stitch marker, you don't explain how to do that... please elaborate?
this is the first thing i have made with crochet ever, and was amazingly easy to follow! my rag itself is definitely the work of a beginner, but i had fun so im definitely making more! thank you 🎉 ❤️ :)
This is my first time, one question, when you do Row 1 you should have 28 double crochet, and row 2 and 3 would it be same or 26. Struggling on that part.
Thank you for taking time out to show these good instructions . . . So far this is my best dishcloth yet 😊 not all crooked and wonky! I can see where I make a mistake and then go back to correct it 👌🏼 (I’ve made about 6?) and am getting better each time especially with your great instructions! I love this pattern the most of any too, I’m hoping, in the end I will be pleased and proud of my therapy . . Ummm cloth!! (I NEED to have something creative to do) 😅😊🥰👍🏼
The Sage is my very favorite color of cotton yarn from "I Love This Cotton". In fact, I am making a huge bath sheet of just that color in the Suzette stitch.
I know this is silly but I'm new to crochet and I've already messed up. When you go to the next row do the stitches still come out the same number as the previous row? Like the first was 31 and when I turn and do the next row is it still 31? I keep getting mixed up with that and the turns because my turns sloped versus were straight so I'm trying to get the hang of it just wanted to ask before I tried again. You are awesome at the tutorial though. Before I messed up my rows it was super easy to follow along 💜
So for this pattern, you will have a different number of stitches for each row. Meaning your odd rows will have the same stitch count and your even rows will have the same stitch count. So if you have 30 stitches in row 1, that means all your odd rows will have 30 stitches in them. I highly recommend placing a stitch marker in the very first and very last stitch of your row as this will help keep track of everything without missing it. I hope that helps!
Your instructions are very easy to follow, I appreciate that. I do have a hearing problem tho and the sport being played in the background is distracting
Thank you! I’m sorry about the background noise. I usually have all my windows shut, but I do live near a busy street, so you probably heard the traffic noises.
It would depend on your tension, but I would try all 3 of those chain amounts and make 2 rows. That should be a good gauge on the size you're looking for :)
Cotton is a more durable yarn when it comes to cleaning than acrylic yarns. Plus, if you were to grab something hot with acrylic yarns, it has the tendency to melt a little whereas cotton won’t.
This is probably the best, clearest, easiest to see and understand tutorial for crochet that I’ve seen. Very nice pattern too! Thank you!
Thanks so much 😊
Thank you for sharing this pattern, and for showing how to add the border, instead of saying just add a border if you want to.
You’re welcome!
I agree! It was so helpful! The border was shown really well too.
I agree thank u u are very helpful explaining
I appreciate how clearly you explained and demonstrated all the steps.

@@AmandaCrochets I finished my first dish towel and the pattern is GREAT 👍🏽
@@vickiesims643 I’m glad to hear!
Thank you for sharing. I love you texture look.. Can't wait to make them. What size hook did you use??
I used a size H hook for this pattern
I know this is silly but I'm new to crochet and I've already messed up. When you go to the next row do the stitches still come out the same number as the previous row? Do you count the chain 3 as a stitch for a stitch marker or the last stitch of each row before you chain?
The chain stitches count as stitches 😊
Your instructions are very easy to follow, I appreciate that. I do have a hearing problem tho and the sport being played in the background is distracting

Hi Amanda!! Love the pattern. Tried to go to your website to look at written pattern and it said someone maybe impersonating you and not to proceed.
Thanks! That’s odd about my website as I just updated everything, but thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to check on it again.
Do you sell these? I can't crochet for the life of me but I would buy some of your neato dish cloths and wash cloths.
I do custom orders, so feel free to send a request on Etsy. The link is in the description box below the video 😊
At the end of row 3 how many do you chain?
The pattern says to chain 1 at the end of Row 3.
Is it possible to change color of thread ever 2 rows? Thank you
If you wanted to yes. You can change up the colors however you wish.
Amanda do you have a easy poncho video?
No I don’t, sorry!
Would like to fo a 8x8 so how many chains should i start off at 25, 27 0r 29
It would depend on your tension, but I would try all 3 of those chain amounts and make 2 rows. That should be a good gauge on the size you're looking for :)
I am having trouble with stitch count. I know you chain 31 but what is your count after row 1?
You will have 28 double crochets plus the chain 3, so 29 total. 🧶
Why does it have to be cotton
Cotton is a more durable yarn when it comes to cleaning than acrylic yarns. Plus, if you were to grab something hot with acrylic yarns, it has the tendency to melt a little whereas cotton won’t.
