  • EndeavourOS is a rolling release Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. The project aims to be a spiritual successor to Antergos - providing an easy setup and pre-configured desktop environment on an Arch base. EndeavourOS offers both off-line and on-line install options. The off-line installer, Calamares, uses the Xfce desktop by default. The on-line installer can install optional software components, including most popular desktop environments.

Arch I'm to dumb to install it the Arch way or with the Arch install, so I tried 2 Arch based, ezarcher and Arco Linux because they are easy to install because of Calamares installer. Both gave update errors after a couple of days. I don't know how to solve those. My simple brain just don't understand it. I think Arch is overrated anyway, but at least I wanted to know the experience. Debian I don't like, so I installed MX Linux Xfce. Never gave me any update errors and it's just as quick as Arch. And I don't need the latest and greatest anyway. Stability is much more important to me.

Isn’t it MX Linux debian with extra stuff?
I wouldn’t say Arch is overrated tbh, but most people that mainly play or what not want to be on the cutting edge and that’s an Arch thing
Fedora (if you don’t care about the whole red hat issue), is a good compromise between newer packages and stability.. or any of its derivates

@@mendyc158 Yes, but most distro's are based either, Debian, Ubuntu, Arch etc. I don't like Debian, that's why I chose MX.
