Just started watching and Love this already. Didn't know u could do cotton candy at farmer's market thought it was only healthy items. One question I have is do you ever have just one machine if you are spinning live? Worried about my machine possibly running hot if used continuously. Should I buy a 2nd machine (my first even is on the 16th) I'm so nervous. Lol

Where did you get your cart?

Our cart is a Seville NSF Utility Cart with the handle removed (found here: www.amazon.com/Seville-Classics-Heavy-Duty-Commercial-Grade-Utility/dp/B003673GBY/ ). We added some angled aluminum metal to the four posts to provide square corners and riveted 1/4" white matte plastic to the three sides. We love it for its small size and manageable weight.

We are only required to have a hand washing station for cotton candy in our county. We use a insulated cooler, soap, and a bucket to catch the handwashing water.

Which machine would you recommend in humid climates like Texas for made to order cones? Are there any with temperature control?

The gold medal whirlwind has temp control, but honestly, the temp control on a machine isn't going to make a difference for humidity. Once the cotton candy is spun out of any machine, it is the actual environment that the cotton candy is in that will make it melt. So, if it's humid outside there is no way around the cotton candy melting. Thanks!

Is the temperature in a mall a good temperature to make cotton candy on site

It will completely depend on the humidity within the building, but yes, usually an indoor venue like a mall is air conditioned and low humidity so it works well.

Yes you can, we do depending on the market. A clear 10x8 is a nice size. We go by weight, our to go bags are 3oz of cotton candy.
