What i like most about shimazaki is that his teleportation feels so unexpectable. There is no visual or sound effects when he teleports, but the viewers know he will show up near a character. Plus the fact that he uses his barehands makes him feel intimidating
we forget because we follow mob but most espers only have 1 power instead of being able to do everything. teru having multiple abilities like this is no joke
Teru is supposed to be better than this. He is multi-talented who is able to learn other esper ability. I remember that in the manga he is using other Claw's members ability as well. Instead of that guy who use 2 whips, he is able to control 10 whips for each finger. He is also using pyrokinesis to AOE this guy who keep teleporting around. Finally at the end, turned out Teru is fighting through a "shadow clone" he controlled far away from his hideout.
The author One sat down and talked to the staff about what to change and what to take out. He made the decision. It was confirmed in a interview. They also let him help animate on episode 9. And the author also said he would like to make the ending better. ( I'm anime only ) so idk what that means. As far as the manga
Could be that they had to cut out some of the plot due to limited number of episodes and they asked ONE which parts should be sacrificed. Manga has some good parts that weren't included in the anime
I definitely will consider reading the anime to witness this perspective. I enjoyed the animated version because although be was overpowered, Teru still showed amazing adeptness in his new skills. Obviously he is at a much higher level in the manga.

Obviously they still weren't making it the moment, they were just spreading the news but we all know that they wanted to please the fans as much as possible and it was pretty early that they started making Season 2 by releasing the trailer on December 2018. And after another year passed finally April 9 2019, they released Season 2, so basically they had almost two years to make Season 2 with other projects around which were much higher in popularity than what one punch man anime had.
