I don’t understand the people who don’t like this episode. PAC-man never had any lore This gave us lore. We the player are puck*. And the whole time we have been trying to “free” a world devouring world ending being. The labyrinth and ghost held us the “player” back from helping pac-man getting free. That’s why as we played the game we never saw an end game. There was only ever a high score. “There is power in repetition” we as players gained higher and higher scores. But ultimately there was no “you won” - we should never win. PAC man should never escape the maze.
@@thefreshprince310 I remember it. I still wouldn’t consider it lore. The original Pac-Man game dropped with no explanation whatsoever. Almost 20 years later they gave us pac-man world.
I feel sorry for those who're seriously going to see this as canon because they must be very desperate for Pac-Man to have a story to look to something like this.
@ as others have said. Pac-Man world is technically canon. I was here before Pac-Man world. You probably couldn’t even see my high score in Pac-Man. Or Tetris. Or galaga. I’m a fan of this. I know it’s not canon. But its fun
The crazy part about this episode is that bandai studios ( owners of pac man ) wanted the episode to be this. Then in the game awards they released the game shadow labyrith, which contains the same story line of the episode!
This episode was cool, strange, but cool, the backlash it's had is just kinda dumb. Also the new game Shadow Labyrinth by Namco, based on this, seems great too

Puck needs a being in order to leave, that's the mark in the middle of the door. They keep failing and that one literally ripped it out. Puck will keep trying though.
Some people hate this for whatever reason (I thought every episode was fantastic. Crossfire was....ok but nothing crazy). This depiction of Pac-Man is absolutely wild and I love it. They're even making a game revolved around this called Shadow Labyrinth.
Pac-man has no lore. This was an excellent and unique take on it. The Chosen is literally the embodiment of a power pellet that pac-man "nurtured" to use for its escape from an infinite maze-like prison. (The Chosen also resembles a more humanoid form of that red-eyed, armless character a ghost was attacking that appeared on the pac-man arcade cabinet.) Whoever imprisoned pac-man in that maze most likely considered it a threat to great to roam free with its insatiable appetite to consume.
The human looking dude is the player. Pack man ball tells him to eat. So he does. Then, he gets taken over. Just like when you get the 🍒. Get stronger to eat everything else. Packman cant beat the maze without a player. Hence the symbol on the door.
THIS IS BASED ON THE NEW PACMAN BASED GAME THATS COMING OUT SOON. The game is a sidescroll platform action game I believe so it fits this quite perfectly.
I think we (the players) are the humanoids and we think we're using pac to play and get better, but pac is using us to get out, and when we give up, he moves on to the next player. I think considering how on the nose they've been, this episode felt like it belonged in love death robots, very artistic and surreal take on the game. But thats probably easier since the game has no lore to work with.

Pac man world
PAC Man world is the lore, he’s basically a celebrity in the real world

I just realized why the character the orb is called Puck in subtitles. Pac-man was originally Puc-man. Than, you Scott Pilgrim
I think that was Miss Pac-Man
Pac Man being some cosmic horror trapped in a prison and trying to escape is honestly a cool take on the concept

This has to be the 2nd best one, the mystery behind Pac-man is insane

"Pac mans a bad guy?" Adam Sandler
I loved this episode-dark, disturbing and not at all intended to be "wholesome" like Evan suggested.
One of my favorite episodes. Actually, loved them All..
Fun fact, the guy in the cloak is voiced by the same person who voiced Jin Woo in solo levelings English dub and Jiji in Dandadans dub too.

This is one of the best episodes
Guys, watch the Shadow Labyrinth trailer
The best eps secret level
Y'all gotta watch Love Death and Robots next it's made by the same people that did these. And it's lowkey underrated 💯👌🏾
This one and the 40K one are the best.
They making a game!!
This episode is a metaphor for capitalism
not everything is political my man. And life, regardless of economics or politics, is brutal.

They made this cuz they are making a new pac man game based on this. Or rather this is based on that new game
Their's a new game coming out that inspired this
