      @@DecimalTenths I have a 04 Jetta 1.8t awp 5 speed manual with 100k always love the car so I decided to buy one drove it home checked the timing belt and saw Napa on the belt so I ordered all the parts to replace everything decided to drive it to pick up the parts and the timing belt broke. I was heart broken trying to decide what to do. I ordered 3 heads from a few junkyards and everyone I went to pick up they all had bent valves. So I ended up buying a awp motor to get the head. And I have fixed it and love my vw. I would love to try your stage 1 tune since I am so far in the hole with this car can’t afford to buy a tune anytime soon

    I'm stuck in a small little island in the Caribbean, and nobody over here remap ECU sad story. 😢
    I have a AGU engine with a ko4 setup stock tune.
    By any chance you can send a remap ECU stage 1 for AGU imo off
    Stage 1 I have stock rods 😅

      These days I use a genuine MPPS, and I've never bricked an ECU since.👍

    Sorry for the really late comment, Is there a reason you didnt write with MPPS rather than Galletto?

      Hi pal, yes the MPPS was a clone so couldn't do checksum corrections, and I didn't want a failed flash. So I just did a boot mode write with the galletto.

    Sorry to comment this years later but when having the ecu in bench mode does it bypass the immo?

      The immobiliser will not block anything in obd or bench/boot. To disable the immobiliser then a bench read of the eprom is required.

    I'm assuming I might have to do this. Whatever file I try to write onto my me7.5 curpa r amk via obd, it doesn't fire back up. I write the current file back on again (which is mapped but edit blocked) it fire's straight back up. Aslong as I don't cycle ignition of course. Is this a checksum error or has last mapper fudged it? 😅

    Flashing cupra onto mk4 golf ecu do the hardware and software versions have to be the same

      There is some slight differences which can cause issues between certain ECU hardware configurations. But generally ME7.5 is cross flashable, so yes. What software and ECU do you have?

    Did I hear that correctly ? He was on a 250hp map with a stage 1 tune and you send him a 225hp stock file ? Doesnt the engines compression have to be the same as the file you are flashing on there? Like if it is stock 9.5 : 1 Compression ratio and you upload a file with 9.0 : 1 compression ratio does this actually work ? Is that understandable ?

      There is no adjustment in the map for compression. Just a slightly different requirement for fuelling and susceptibility to knock. A stock file runs less ignition timing, and the displacement and compression changes are so small then there was no adverse effect. All perfectly safe - and hilarious 🤣

      @@DecimalTenths Thank you for the quick answer. Do you know what the 1.8t AUM (stock) is capable of ? Because I read that some ppl are driving 230hp and some others 250hp and then again others say, cant go above 200hp because of the weak rod.
      What do you think an AUM or AUQ Engine of the 1.8t is capable of ?

      @@Deroxqq The stock AUM/AUQ is limited by their turbo and fuelling hardware. Max is 230-240bhp. Some healthy setups will make more with fuelling upgrades.
      The strength of the engine is limited to 280-300ftlbs of torque.

    i tried to flash b7 20vt with galleto and in ecu data mode stoped at 80% and i didn't continue if i go boot mode will be better?

    I know this is an old video but will you ever do a video running through the wide band conversion
    I've got everything I need and also have a agu engine... I just want to get clarity on a few things
    One of the main questions is can you flash a wide band k04 file on to any me 7.5 ecu??

      It would be too vague to be worthwhile to be honest, there's differences in AGUs depending on year so some wiring does change 🙈.
      You can flash a k04 file on to nearly every wideband ecu, there's some random ones that don't like it, but most do work. For example, you can flash a BAM file onto an AUM/AUQ ecu no problem.

      @@DecimalTenths nice one... its surprising how little information here is out there regarding a me7.5 swap.
      I know your on one of the vag Facebook groups but can't remember which one.
      As for the loom everything looks really straight forward ... the only problem I have is on thus aum loom the is level sensor wiring goes to pin 11 and 12 on the t1a plug... that runs up a seprate cable to the bulk head connectors in to a t10 plug.. I think this then goes to the t32 plug on the clocks in to pin 18.... my agu doesn't have as they obviously don't have that sensor...
      In all honesty the oil level sender as far as I can see is for service intervals and to notify when oil is low ... but I read if the ecu doesn't see it it'll ping a message every time..
      Lastly... ie got a k04-022 so has the egt probe... as I'm using a aum loom don't believe there is a plug for this...I don't suppose you know where this wiring runs do you? I'm looking at the t14a plug pin out but don't see any mention for it... again its no big deal any ways.

    Just wondering, isn't the Galletto 1260 an OBD tool? Why do you have to remove the entire ECU out to flash it?

      In order to flash a different software over the ME7.5 you need to be able to correct the checksums, which the galletto or clone MPPS cant do. Therefore you have to flash the ECU in bootmode with the pin as per the video.

    Nick, I’ve got a revo stage one LCR ecu and may put a Baaaaaaam in an A3 at some point, would it be as simple as bypassing the immobiliser then fitting the ecu and k04 parts? Also where’s good to learn about MPPS and Galletto. Cheers

      Hi, yeah the ECU would need the 95040 EEprom immobiliser defeat and then the full setup swapped over. I'd suggest therell be better remaps out there over revo though. Everything you need is on nefmoto

      Sounds a little more than standard. Be a very mild remap if it is.

      @@staytuned6550 cool, remember I am pushing my tolerances (only a little really) so if you want bang on factory tolerances it would be best to follow the chart extracts that I put in all the vids, and get crank regains etc to suit. All the info is in there.😁

      Yeah definately, but we aren't playing with the immobiliser on this video, that is a different Eprom in the ECU. We won't be showing people how to disable that on video.

    my ecu is stuck in boot mode when checked with mpps

      It won't be stuck in boot mode. Boot mode will only start when selected properly. Are you using MPPS clone?

      You can immo off using mpps to read and flash the eprom data and then use winols, a hex editor or me7 eprom tool off nefmoto.

      What are the faults...? Just the airbag error code? Looks like the ecu was from a breaker car that maybe had a collision
