I got to see her in concert 3 times! At the first one she came down off stage, and walked right down the aisle where I was seated, and stood right in front of me playing her violin,... My seat that at first thought was not very good, turned out to the best seat in the theater!

I was very privileged to have met her way back in the day, with thanks to my contact at the time who worked at Sony Music. Whilst Vanessa-Mae (Chén Měi) was with Sony I had the honour to run their official VM fans forum/website. I was totally heart broken when she quit the music scene, though for a few years after she did a few charity events. During a interval at a concert (the Red Hot Tour, 1995), in my hometown she sat on the edge of the stage and chatted to me. What a joy that was, and the looks I got from everyone in the audience as I was dressed in my bikers leather and my sleeveless denim instead of a suit like everyone else. LoL! The sad part is that she was imprisoned in her home. She had no real friends, she had no childhood. She wasn't even allowed to go to school. Every day her estranged mother forced her to practice. Vanessa-Mae was never happy, she was her mother's money making machine!
Interesting, it would definitely be an honor to meet her, I'm not from the 90s generation and therefore I never got to see her in a live show, but it's still a dream to meet her, it would be great as You said. But I think that the last thing you mention is true, however she gave everything for her pubic and she always looked happy on stage, how good it is that she decided to separate from her mother and do it alone.She is great, she is the violinist I admire the most, I dream of one day going to one of her concerts if she returns to the stage.
I feel blessed that I came across this amazing woman while looking for new music to listen to. She's beautiful and unbelievably talented! My new crush, Thank you Vanessa!

An dem Abend war ich live dabei, 9 Jahre alt, es war sehr spät am Abend als das Konzert anfing. Ich kann mich erinnern, dass ich zwischendurch bei leisen Tönen eingenickt bin. Ich hatte einen weißen Anzug an. Warum auch immer man mit 9 einen Anzug trägt. Hahaha keine Ahnung. Es war ein komplett erfüllender Abend, das krieg ich noch zusammen. Schade, dass sie in der Sache die Bühne verlassen hat. Wunderschön in allen Belangen
