I discovered her in '98, like so many things extremely special to who I am now, through my mother. That was before she became too sick to talk, before we got separated forever 💔💔💔
She had the ability to point at a woman and say "she is special". She introduced me to Sally Potter's Orlando, also, a movie very special to me spiritually.
I can't see my mother, but she is with me through these things
I still remember that day somewhere in the nineties my wife and I watched tv on the last Day of the year and we saw this concert. we where absolutely blown away!
and now 25 years later i'm still blown away (and still married to the same woman)
I can't remember how old I was when my uncle played this concert on CD. You know, I sat right in front of the tv. In my head, this is my idol. Love you vanessa 😍

August 2022, and came across her today playing with Scorpions. It's amazing how we are born and our destiny is unfolded. No one ever dreams of being homeless or for a life of struggle and pain. She was born and with gifts for the word to enjoy, all thru her wonderful joy and passion. I do not believe her life is mundane and uneventful.
She is a very good narrator of her own concert.
I think this concert would be lasted forever between human civilizations . her beauty & talent are just surprising .
what a wonderful feeling of liberation and overcoming in this concert. how she came from being drilled as a classical violinist to this kind of rock and klassik crossover. and with all this fun in it

I discovered it in 1998, through a CD that I thought was incredible and still moves me to this day.
At that time, things took a long time to arrive in Brazil.
I checked her birthday ! in 2022 Jan she is 43. that means she is 15 years old here! really . and finally the full concert this is the best
randomly came across her my senior year of high school (back in '98!! oh my) and wrote a speech discussing the progression of music and dramatically opened my speech with her playing Toccata and Fugue...she is still one of my favorites and all of her music is on my ipod. love her.

Saw Vanessa Mae as one of the entertainers on a cruise in 2016 - she has lost none of her charm. Delightful and so talented. This brings back wonderful memories.

The first time I watched this live show video probably around 1996, when I was in primary school in China. I watched it on TV, I was so impressed by her performance, it's brilliant. This video replayed a lot of times on TV during that period. I feel teary listening to it again after 26 years.
