- Classic Game Room HD reviews GRAN TURISMO 5 TIME TRIAL Demo for Playstation 3 PS3, a free download demo from Polyphony Digital where you compete in a time trial on Indiana Motor Speedway in a Nissan 370 Z (tuned and stock). Watch CGR take a lap of the Indiana race track and set a sloppy time against many others. The Gran Turismo 5 free demo shows the care that is going into GT5 because the game looks and sounds amazing. Hard as nails too, dont try to just mash down on the accelerator because your car will spin off the track into never-never land. Compete against other times set by other drivers. GT5 has more of a simulation feel than the previous Gran Turismo offerings and retains smooth, simple and easy to navigate menus with soft jazz from GT5 Prologue. Probably best played with one of the force feedback wheels from Logitech (going to have to get one of those I think.). Can i play this on 360?
i downloaded ac 2 off another accnt on my ps3 but it said this content is expired because i had the ps plus trial and finished it. I had it deleted in rage. what should i do to make it playable. plz help.

@NooberMan64 Unfortunately, it's no longer available, either to download or play (if already downloaded). It was a short lived Time Trial to find drivers for the GT Academy.
hey Mark,
when you are breaking .. try to break as you would accelerate(with out the traction control aids) .. don't just smash the break paddle all the way in.
you will stop faster and loose less time in sliding and locking up the wheels :)

I loved this time trial. Since my PS3 is still busted I played at a friend's. You have a couple of seconds on me but I only went around the track like 4 times in each version of the car. GT5 just needs to come out already!

Hey yeah expert, Will the graphics get better on the main disk because i downloaded the demo and the graphics are a wee bit Shite for gran turismo's normal work.
guys will gran turismo 5 still be enjoyable with a dualshock 3 ps3 controller? i cant afford 300 dollar steering wheels..

Mark, your driving is very good. But there are some places that a little time on Eiger Nordward in GT5P could fix. Mostly apexes. The apex of a turn is usually found about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the turn. The idea is to swing a little wide in the start of the turn, pull in and apex, then follow the line out to just inside the far barrier. It takes some practise to get it right, but it can really help.

U forgot to mention one other important tough track. Special Stage R11! From the original GT. We need that as well!
From what I've heard yes it does, although it the Time Trial does not have clutch support. But it does support the shift lights on the G27.
i have a ps3 steering wheel but nops3 xD.Can i play this game on pc with an emulator or something???
Exactly! Both games are excellent and well made. We should appreciate that there's two awesome racing sims for both systems.
For everyone looking for the Time Trial! They took it out of the PS Store a long time ago! It was only there for about a few weeks.

Keep it up Mark. I can't wait for the full game to come out because finally, I feel like a console racer is on the level of a PC Sim. I'm amazed, and can't wait.
That interior view is extremely detailed! Much better looking than forza 3, and it sounds like a really realistic game the fact its pretty hard to control with a gamepad.

Basically, first of all, you need to brake earlier, so you'll enter the turn at a lower speed, and from there, accelerate. It is a lot better to enter a corner at a low speed and come out of it in a high speed than vice versa. That would shave off about two, maybe even three seconds of your lap :)
@phil1818 This demo was only released for GT Academy. It`s not in the store anymore. And even if you have it, you can`t play it anymore because it needs an internet connection to start where it checks the current date. The demo was only playable during GT Academy.

I bought my PS3 today and looked in the Playstation Store for this demo and I can't find it!!! HELP! I live in Canada and I'm hooked up to the Playstation Network! WTF?!

I did like 1'50'00 with the DS3, took about 2hours of playing and man its hard as nails. But once i got more used to cornering and accelerating and decelerating my times were more consistant so its all practice. Its my first time on a GT game since i wasn't into racing games during the Ps1/Ps2 days also :) but GT5 is shaping up to be the best racing game :)

Yes, in the full version it's gonna have real-time physics damage (which is very realistic).
That's fair enough. I've always felt GT had the "driving" sim edge while Forza had the "racing" edge, personally.
I've always liked GT4 when it came to just hooking up my wheel and driving a few laps, whereas Forza 3's physics are respectable enough and the racing aspect has typically been more fun. I'm glad to have them both available either way.
GT5 is going to be a monster, I cannot wait until we see the real thing.

@EnglishTurtle no it's just a demo they made if i'm not mistaken it says in the demo it's still work in progress but it actually looks very good except the track it feels empty and lifeless like but i assume because it's a test track

The Demo is no longer available. Even if you have it downloaded to your PS3, it will no longer be playable.
