Just bought this game today 1 june 2020 for my ps3 for only 1,25 euro.
I remember getting this for Christmas along with a crappy wheel capable of 280 degrees of rotation. I absolutely loved it definitely sparked my love of sim racing.

The best racing game I've ever played on the ps2. Its pretty hard at the beginning but then gets easier and then when you get really good you can turn off the traction control and learn to drift the corners which is so much fun. Or you can still manage to drive normally with the traction control off and be ok. Very fun and realistic game. If it only was available online in multiplayer it would have been the best racing game ever.
The second he said simulation i was sold. I will definitely be getting this game. Cockpit view, rain (windshield wipers are on. Don't know why I like that so much, but it's a neat effect), tuning, and Ferraris. Perfect.
Have this game, and its awesome. True the graphics could be a little better (although they are better than they look in this review) but the handling of the cars and gameplay experience is second to none. This is a truly great racing sim experience. Pair it with a Logitech G25 wheel for best effect! Better than GT5 Prologue, still, cant wait for the finished GT5!

Sweet, I've been playing the lfs demo for a while and loved it, once I bought S1, it kinda of ruined it for me because I thought it was going to be more fun. If I had a g25 or a g27, it'd be amazing, but im on a keyboard temporarily. Hopefully those games you named are similiar to lfs in a way, I really enjoy the physics of it and games like it.

Racing on this game was honestly a lot better than in GT6, sound is better, A.I even with its problems at least makes you feel like you're competing and the sense of speed is great.
I really need to pick this game up.
But I heard for PS2 there is no cockpit view. Is this true and is the PS2 version at the same level of excellence?
is the vinyl tweaking fast on ps3 and ps2? it's just that i love racing games with fast vinyl tweaking like forza and mcla

i like midnight club as a street racing game, but gran turismo series has been my favorite arcade/simulator game.
CGR, you were right about Midnight Club: Los Angeles, I'll assume before buying FC that you're right about it too :P
Has any1 got this AND Gran Turismo 5 Prologue?
If so which would you recomend based on driving realism and also fun!
I liked the other GT Games but was wondering if this could be something different and better. It seems a bit limited being limited only to Ferrari's as i like the car for what it is, not the make of the car.

uncharted 2 all the way is lime a movie, the cinematics are great, great graphics, story, game play, online multiplayer, i love it man, is a must buy.

Awesome graphics! It's a shame in the PS2 version it's advertised as having a dashboard view when that is only available in the PS3.
The turning is the devil in this game.
this is an awesome game, cant wait for Supercar Challenge. althought i think there are too many Ferrari's in it. I cancelled my Dirt2 pre-order to get Supercar ^_^

I bought this game in 2014 while waiting for driveclub to be fixed on ps4 lol
This is a great game with very realistic racing physics , people that say this is a bad game and is to hard to control should stick with Ridge racer , Grid or Outrun .
The lack of dynamic weather, tyre wear and pit stops is a bit disappointing though and it's age shows a bit in the graphics department now but still overall a great Sim racer !
I've done alot of the Trophy mode races, just unlocked the 575 M GT. I have problems controling the 360 Modena, but the 360 Challenge car is just så simple to drive O.o
i loved ferrari outrun, the old simulator game haha, they made an outrun for ps2 in 2006 i believe.

@bcbluecheese idk about CS or TC but ABS is antilock brake system, which means you can slam the brakes and the wheels wont lock and the car wont skid.
PGR4 has great rain, weather effects for the 360!

I got this game today and its pretty good.I just dont like how the ferrari's handle.They handle like boats and the graphics are decent but cant hold a candle gt 5 prologue visually.I do like how fun and easy it is to change gears you just flick the right analog stick up or down which is cool

hey dude. what ever the name of the author of this vid.. Nice game! ehehe.. I just noticed something about the game, why is it the steering wheel barely turns when the driver is turning on a curve? doesnt it look a bit awkward? even for a ferrari in real life...
On sharp turns and hairpins, the wheel should at least turn 180-270 degrees so that you can make the turn? am i right? I just find it weird.. But either than that, great game though!

I agree while i do love forza and gran turismo. Gtr 2, and i believe the new one is gtr extreme are great, even race 07. those are true sims. but hey thats the pc market for you people probably never head of those games! They are pretty hardcore tho wich i see turning alot of people off. GT and forza kinda hold your hand a bit.
Is it better than test drive Ferrari racing legends?
The Homestead Miami Speedway (at 6:32) track looks pretty unrealistic with that wall down in the grass in NASCAR Turns 3-4. In real life theres open grass down there, a cool down lane before going into the pits and a 2nd part of the Infield Roadcourse of that track.
Those who say that this is the most realistic driving game have obviously never heard of GTR2 and rFactor. Speaking of which, the car sounds are just like GTR2...hmm, I wonder why..

system 3 is the best simulator and this is the realest game i´ve ever played
I got this today along with gt5 prologue and a ps3. The driving i found to be very tough. Forza, GRID and PGR4 are far easier. Great graphics and realism though.

The gameplay is really good, I like that Tiff Needell is in it, but the graphics are not even close to the gran turismo. Actually these are the graphics Id expect from ps2, not ps3.
Other than the graphics, the game is awesome.
