If you tweak the settings enough, it's possible, I play cyberpunk 2077 at 60fps with rt optimized settings and with the recent update I saw a performance improvement which made it more stable, I also modded fsr into games such as minecraft rtx and control allowing for more playable framerates
How did you mod FSR in games? Looking to improve my frame rates.

I tried raytracing in both Cyberpunk and Tombraider. I honestly didn't see much difference in visuals. And for Cyberpunk, all the glass reflections just failed.
So I'm guessing that it exists but its incomplete or something. Probably only shadows and such, which really isn't something I notice when gaming simply because non-rt shadows look really good.
Because I played on consoles for the last 15 years, 30 fps is very playable for me. If ray tracing drops the frame rate to around 25-30 I'm good as gold.
The rx6600 is still one of the best budget cards on the market. I've never turned on R/T. Thanks for the video.

I'd love to see how this card handles the new Half Life RT mod - might it perform well as it's such an old game with limited rendering requirements?
Not sure but next time it's on the rig we will sure give it a go.
I've completed it, it can handle 1080p60 native with no sweat! the FSR option is there, but it's useless unless you want HIGHER resolutions.
The RT mod is also extremely well done. Give it a go!

i chosed Intel ARC A770 LE and on this card turn on RT is worth it especially for someone who never experienced RT but i want to see RX 6500 it may be for someone useful who want low budget pc thank you for video it surprised me Radeon is not bad actually even with RT and this is low-er end so maybe turn on only RT shadows may be fine i guess🤔

I may be the minority but I'd be interested in knowing what kind of support the Linux drivers have when trying to use ray tracing on an AMD card partly cause nVidia is well known for not being friends with Linux.

Nice video man, i bought a RX 6600 almost a year ago and the RT performance loss is not worth it imo, you should try Dirt 5, it has RT and is well optimize

Radeon drivers 23.2.1 improved Ray tracing on 6000 series’s cards if I’m
not mistaken. I barely turn on ray tracing on my 6700XT as well 3070(mobile) as this is hit and miss on visual and performance.
When RT stops tanking performance (and that's on nVidia cards too), then I'll be more interested in it. It's just not worth the performance hit imo. Otherwise a very competent GPU though. Cheers for the video
Higher graphic settings will always decrease performance. Regardless of how far technology advances.
@@gamesisfunny No way!... I said tank performance not decrease it. RT isn't a higher setting either, it's another feature entirely which tanks performance in most cases.
@@rugby187gaming The 4070Ti maybe is a bit expensive... but with DLSS3 and Frame Generation RT is far from "tanking" perfomance on Nvidia cards... AMD cards simply arent that good.
@@wiLdchiLd2k I'm not interested in fake frames myself. So running native with RT, RT tanks performance. They have to come up with gimmicks like Frame Generation and upscaling teqniques to compensate for that performance tanking and I don't like it. AMD cards are great in raster performance like nVidia and probably Intel cards now too but again, I'm not invested in RT until it stops tanking performance so much

I got a Rx 6400 low profile card and it's sub par lol

bruh what your cpu is way too weak to use rx 6600 and you need 8gb of ram minimum to play games, make sure you turn off background programs like chrome ect.
1. up upgrade your ram 4gb is not enough. You should have at least 8 gb but I would recommend getting 16 gb or even 32 gb. the price for 16 gb kity of 2 costs 32 euros for a decent kit and 52 euros for a 32gb kit in my country. 2. Upgrade your cpu. I would recommend going for the ryzen 5600 /5600x but this depends if you have a B450 motherboard. If you have a A320 you should upgrade your motherboard too. If you need to upgrade the motherboard I would suggest going for a B550 (ASrock DS3H or ASrock Pro4 or MSI PRO-VDH WIFI are great options for the money)

Almost any modern GPU can ray trace, how well is a different question. I believe the 6600m can do ray tracing but with hit performance a lot.
