@@OFFGRIDwithDOUGSTACY this might be a silly question, but can you omit the spicy? i have an allergy to spicy hot peppers. I know the property that makes the spicy peppers hot is one of the healthy properties of them but it causes my digestive system to swell. would nadapenios work?

Stacy thank you so much for posting this video. I have been an herbalist for about 20 years now and have gotten alot of criticism in the herbalist community for using many different ingredients in my fire cider or as I call it "cider remedy". I love, love, love that you use flowers in yours also!

My grandma went thru the Depression, she had a garden every year. She took garlic all the time and smelled like it too. She did herbs and had an oil she used called Oil of Herbs. But she was crazy because of her Mennonite upbringing, you couldn't even hardly reason with her. That is why she smelled like strong garlic all the time. If you go to a fallen away church, you can get very ill from that church. My grandma was raised in a fallen away church. It is not just producing your own food and eating right anymore, if you are incorrect spiritually now it can greatly hurt you, greatly! You have to get right spiritually and then eat good, exercise, get plenty of sun and drink good water.

If viruses going around I made sure I took it daily. Never got sick. Waiting on my new batch to use. Should have made more. Wont be without it. An informative, light hearted vlog! Love 'em! I am going to try to make the fire cider for myself for this flu season, as I stopped taking those shots when I retired. It was mandatory for my job as a visiting nurse, but I prefer not putting the ingredients in my body. I take 2000 IU of Vit D daily, and during flu season, I take 4000 IU daily. I would rather use the natural medicinal foods than manmade chemical products. Yes, for a health professional, it is an oxymoron, a conundrum, an enigma. More or less. LOL!

Love Tulsi (Holy Basil) and will be making your beautiful jar of health for us. I want to share one trick I have with Tulsi - it stops the itch and redness from mosquito bites. Here in Florida it common for my grandkids to get covered in bites when they play outside at dusk. They asked me what I had to make the itch go away and I googled it. Basil came up so I picked a couple leaves of tulsi and mushed them between my fingers and applied some mush to each bite. In about 10 minutes we washed the gunk off and no more redness, swollen part was gone, and most important - no more itch! It has worked every time since. I was amazed at how well and of course the grands think I'm genius cause it worked -YEA. I think it would work with any basil but tulsi is my favorite. I have told everyone to just chew it slightly to break it up and then apply it as it sticks well that way.

Just wanted to say Thank You! I got into fermenting because of you and your videos. Started off with the Mason Tops kit. I have now tripled my game with tops. Now I want to try Kombucha. Hope it turns out as good as yours. Thanks again.

I saw this video for the first time a couple of days ago and made my first batch of honey garlic and fire cider. One thing Stacy didn't mention was the incredible aroma that comes out of the honey garlic when you burp the jar. I'm looking forward to sampling it in three months. Thanks for all the videos.
