I purchased this mower at HD this spring, based on a neighbor's recommendation...selling the Ego mower I'd had for three seasons. Big mistake! I felt the Ego was not giving the best cuts, plus replacement batteries are a small fortune. The HRN has provided even worse cuts since day one. At first I thought it was me and I would adjust to using it. Now several months later - still get uneven cuts - one side of the mower seems to cut about 1/4 th inch lower, and I even get different cutting heights when going back and forth on rows right next to each other. I have watched countless videos on these and other problems with this mower. My other issue is the terrible wheel ruts it leaves, even when cutting in different paths each mow. Wish I had returned this mower when I could after a few weeks - and also should have kept the Ego until I knew I would be happy with the HRN. I will finish this season with the HRN - but it will be up for sale next Spring!
Wow that's kind of surprising! This is my personal mower and I couldn't be happier with it. Mine is a few years older however so maybe it is slightly different.
My manual for a similar model says that the spark plug needs to be reattached to a specific tightness. Is there a way to measure this? It says it cannot be too tight nor too loose.
I don't believe there is a specific torque setting for the plug. I usually tighten by hand at first being careful not to cross thread and once it's fully seated just snug it up. I know that's a very generic word but I usually go a quarter or half turn once it's tight. You definitely don't want to put a lot of muscle into it.
Just bought my first Honda HRN216VKAA. Hope it is good! I tried to get a Toro Super Recycler with side discharge and couldn't find one to save my life. It appears these companies are moving away from side discharge to rear. My concern is whether this mower will cut well in wet grass. I will be using it on several yards a week and really hoping it works out. I will be discharging out the rear as I do not mulch often. 🤞Do you like yours? Thanks
I love it. I have a fairly small yard so I just bag the clippings but it cuts really well. Never had any issues with cold weather starting. Always fires right up. This will be the third season with it and so far no issues at all. Hope you found the video helpful! Have a good night!
Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already. I'll be posting a lot of videos on lawn care tools. Actually just uploaded one on the Sun Joe electric dethatcher. I have a lot of content planned for the spring and alsp let me know if you have any ideas on videos you'd like to see. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. You just saved me $150. That’s what a tune up costs here. Crazy huh?
You're welcome! 150$ for a tune up is crazy. Glad you saved money! That's the whole reason I created the channel! Happy it's helping people!
