I kept the old blades and used my knife sharpener without taking them off. The knife sharpening stones are built into a handle with a knuckle guard on it. It made a big difference in the mower being able to mulch the grass.
@@fondupot I think you can get this sharpener on the internet or anywhere just about. It’s a big, white, plastic handle with a blue plastic knuckle guard and has the two diamond stones at a 45 degree angle , just sharpen the blades as you would a knife and in a minute or so you’ll have a really sharp edge and the blades cut sooooo much better.
Maintaining your equipment will ensure it lasts a long time! Check the video description for important links!
This is one of the best do it yourself videos I've seen. Great Job. The step by step instruction is spot on. Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
Just bought the HRN216, thanks for the tips for winter!
Glad to help. Thanks for watching!

Cool. Thanks. I’ll look into getting one.
Great video. Big thanks.
Cool video. The owner's manual for my Honda engine says to run the gas tank dry instead of topping up and adding a stabilizer.
You can certainly do that. I didn’t want to waste the fuel that was in there. Adding the fuel stabilizer is just fine. Thanks for watching!
Yep, asking for trouble leaving fuel in it over winter, that’s why Manuel says store empty
I used stabil the last two winters without issue.
@@NoName-gv6nm Every year I've simply just put stabil in the tank, it starts up the next year just fine.
Nice video. Great details and tips. Good job. Keep it up.
Thanks!
Awesome. Great info man!
Thanks a lot! Thanks for watching.
Instead of stabilizing the fuel would it be wrong to drain it out then run the mower till it completely runs out then shutting off the fuel line ?
No, that works too. Won’t harm anything.
What kind of oil should I put down in the spark plug while just engine oil right?. I want to make sure I do everything perfectly
The same oil you use for the engine. Just a little bit.
Ok thank you great video
