It depends on the bullet type but what's left after most .44s pass through a human head won't be viable anyway so.....
What the best or strongest bullet type?

I use the 180gr sjhp rated for 1600fps. It does alot of damage on targets and hogs
I have also used a few different 300gr loads. The 180 does more damage in the meat but the 300gr penetrate more.
Even killed 2 hogs with one shot were the bullet went through both hogs.
I use the light for cal. 180gr because side by side shooting it goes through the same amount water jugs as a 230gr 45acp hp.
So for safety I use the light load. + it does rifle type damage to the hogs.

I've kinda wondered how my Walker Colt would compare... in the real world!
It was (so far as I know) the first hand gun NOT designed to kill humans.
Horses were the intended targets.
Power wise the Walker is a little behind a 357 mag.

It's on par with a 45 acp +p defense loads
Full power 357 loads reach 7-800 + ft lbs of muzzle energy.
While a full load in the walker generates 500 or so.
This puts on par with full power 40sw, 45acp+p, and better than even the hottest 9mm luger.
The colt walker, while powerful in its day, could never hope to keep up with 357 magnum and the advantages of smokeless powder and better metallurgy brought with it
Colt walkers notoriously blew up under full loads.
And the colt walker wasn't designed with " horses were the intended target" in mind. Though I'm sure they would.
They were called " horse pistols" because they were large and heavy. And meant to be carried, not on the hip, but in a holster fastened to the horse like they did with the lever guns ..

If you shoot them in the mouth so it expands when it hits the spine, then yeah. The hydrostatic shock would propel the cranium everywhere but where that round hits.

Looks surprisingly like the real thing, albeit with less visible blood cause it vaporizes so well and the dust and other debris are more apparent. But very accurate.

Try the 44 with FMJs, Hollowpoints, & Rip Rounds on 3 new ballistic heads and lets see the damage difference between these 4 types of rounds.
You won't be able to tell the difference on a human head. As a police officer I'v seen head shots from 30-06,.243.,30-30, 9mm and 20ga. shotgun. All very close range.

I'm curious (if you don't mind me asking, I appreciate your input), can a hollowpoint, FMJ, jacketed Hollowpoint, or Rip round really blow someones head clean off? I know they expand and do a lot more damage. Does ot depend on the size of the caliber? I saw a picture of a dude who got shot (I think it might have been with a hollow) from behind, but his head shape was fine, it was his entire face that was blown out (eyebrows down to the lips- I mean a hugle circle where his face was but head structure was fine). I have a morbid sense of curiosity, but I'm curious if their are pistol rounds that can blow someones head clean off with one shot?
The ones I'v seen the head was never completely gone. Skin and tissue is elastic and stretches and retracts. It's not like a watermelon. For example the jaw may still be attached, the bone that makes up the cheek bone would be attached along with an ear. Even though were point blank shots, they all differed a little from each other. Most were small hole in, large hole out. Except the shotgun which was big hole in.
That was crazy! Those dummies are pricey. Super cool, but out of my price range!
@Wookie Boy just under $2000 for one similar to the video. Pretty cool, but I have other things that I could get a lot more use out of for 2 grand.

If you get a gunshot wound forensic manual, you'd see it usually has a typical entry/exit channel. Even the 44 mag obeys the laws of physics

A .44 caliber is already big for a gun
And a 50cal can Penetrate 30mm of armour so it can pen litterally PzIIC PZ III E PZ III B and PZ IV C but it cant pen like the latest pz IIIs and IVs like the PZ III J and M
also .44 magnum has 11.176mm and 50 cal has 12.7mm
I did not enjoy shooting the DE .50cal at all, the recoil felt outrageous. My .44Mag though is stout but much more manager for only slightly less power, which is still way more power than necessary to finish any job
