      Yep I had JRE on continuous play and fell asleep, woke up hours later hearing his rallying cries about looking after America’s weakest people. I assumed it was a new podcast Joe was giving in light of recent events until I picked up it was this old one. This interview says a lot about Joe’s and Michael’s wisdom but sadly even more about the state of America....

      @@jackiesee1907 what do you mean? he spends most of the podcast talking about how the cops torture and torment black communities. He's describing institutional racism in black communities in elaborate detail. And Joe is agreeing. He's saying black people are and have been trapped in a viciously unfair racist system and current policy makes it impossible for them to get out of the cycle. His point about white people is only to say that the police are so flagrantly and obviously racist to black people he tried to even it up by responding to white people in something of the same way but the focus of the violence is against black people. There's no comparison with whites. He literally said that if a white dude had weed on him, there is no way he's ever going to be searched while a black person will almost t definitely get searched.

    I did 10.5 weeks in the academy of a 23 week program until I saw the way the system works (from the inside). Not my idea of what being a peace officer was to me at all. I went in wanting to possibly make a difference, help people....exact opposite of what we were being taught. “Everyone is guilty of something, and this is how you obtain them”. Wow, eye opener. No wonder many people do not respect the law. Not saying all peace officers are this way.. but that’s the way they want you to work. No thanks, there are good people out there, not everyone has bad intentions.

      Not really - it's anecdotal experience and evidence. Baltimore is one of the most corrupt cities in the country - it's not all on the cops here. Democrat run cities have high levels of corruption - we can cite many examples. Chicago, Baltimore, Phiadelphia, NYC. Wood is no different than a lot of other attention seekers on social media. Not to mention he admits his own corruption by targeting white people for lock up. That's really fucked. If it were the other way around people would be screaming bloody murder.

    • @codiejman533
      @codiejman533 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@j0hnnykn0xv1lle it isnt just these cities that have quota based policing creating issues. It's quite common in less corrupt cities across the country. The police shouldnt be using quotas as a metric. Or as revenue generation. That's not what the police should be there for. In some places cops have rebelled against it. But it takes good people like michael wood understanding what's going on and standing up to their superiors. And not just following orders so they get paid. It's a complex problem.

    When I was a LEO I wasn’t RoboCOP’ish at all. I tried to reach out and be a part of the community in order to overturn the notion that COPs are bad but I never showed weakness. I also made 100% sure I knew and understood every single law I was asked to enforce...
    I wanted to be a COP for the right reasons and that’s to help people but I quickly learned my co-workers had different agendas. My black co-workers wanted to get revenge on whites and most of my white co-workers were bullied as kids and they wanted revenge on everyone.
    I got hurt in a local county jail during booking when my own co-workers left me in a life threatening situation for no other reason than laziness and that ended my LEO career and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I’ll never go back because I now know there is nothing I can do to help or change anything.

      The Thigh Well I’ll tell you that the problems with revenge policing wasn’t even noticeable until the Dept’s started requiring 4 year degrees (in anything) to be LE. It seemed to me that this hiring practice was the problem. I don’t think a 4 year degree is necessary to be a good LEO and I don’t believe collage kids are the best for this type job. The local Sheriffs office here in my hometown still doesn’t require a collage degree and they seem to have much higher quality people than the municipal (City) Dept. here.
      I don’t necessarily think going to collage makes you a bad candidate but it seems like our Dept’s stopped trying to look for the best people for the job as long as you have a degree.
      We have so many COPs now that never fired or even touched a handgun until their police training and most aren’t proficient with any other weapons other than their service weapon. They just don’t seem to have the right backgrounds and interests to be COPs.

    • @dakyne51pa
      @dakyne51pa 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What the organization is called is not the issue. The issue is the fact that it is based upon a complete lie, a complete lack of substance, ignores the actual facts (i.e. the stasticts), is a Marxist movement, and it's supporters admit that even the name is a lie because when anyone dares question why they completely ignore any black life not taken by a cop especially if the cop happens to be white they accuse the questioner of being racist and then go on to explain that those are not the black lives which matter. So in this case Linguistics don't matter to conservatives to paraphrase a famous black life it's the content of the movement not it's name upon which we judge it's character.

    It appears to me a former cop saying things that are essentially anti-cop automatically validates everything he has to say a true and a indictment on policing, without actually breaking down what he’s saying. He went on a 5 minute tangent of the chronological order of arresting black men to then resorting to drug dealing. In this entire argument, he rattles of a dozen illegal things black men are doing and then proceeds to blame the police officers for enforcing laws because its leads to negative outcomes for these people?
    If a BAD cop arrests a criminal, it doesn’t mean the criminal was innocent. There are bad cops obviously, but there is also a rampant culture of drugs and violence in black communities, and to suggest it’s bad cops causing this cycle is ludicrous. Bad cops don’t help it, but they certainly don’t start it.

      100% correct on the OP's account. And as someone from Baltimore it's not fucking weed you morons! It's fucking narcotics, specifically heroin! Come here, see what's happening. This woods guy is a fucking leftist idealist, talking about shit from 60 fucking years ago. This is a fucking war zone, nobody is forcing blacks to MURDER EACH OTHER
